Expanding on this a bit: Adding translations is basically a two-part job. First, I have to change around all the code to use a strings file instead of hardcoded text. So eg instead of
text(x, y, "Do you want to continue?")
it would be
text(x, y, _t("continue_q"))
The second part of course is actually producing the translations, which I can do into German, and would need help with anything else, like Spanish.
What I meant with "no capacity" is that while I could do translations now, it would significantly slow down development of new features and bug fixes. In the sense that I'm trying to keep some kind of momentum for the game, this makes it sound like a bad idea to me.
@Zarkonnen, ah, I see how that would slow down development. But maybe you could delegate the integration of text to the community? I mean, for translation itself, you'll probably need community help, so why not also allow people in the community to handle the task of moving in-code text to a sourced text file too?
However, fixes & features first. I want grappling, "Luftschiffs: Erobern der Himmel" can come later! :P
Ahh German, you are such a silly language. I guess the title wouldn't actually get translated. However, if I get around to adding ship captains with names, half of them are totally going to have stupid Germanish names, like "Tobias von Himmelshammer" and "Ambrosius Abgott von Luftmord".
Sooo... for... external reasons I have now implemented multi-language support, which means I would love people's assistance in doing translations. I'll put something in place in the next few days.
Cabin Boy

I'd like to do translations, but TBH I don't have the capacity for it right now.
Lieutenant
@Zarkonnen, capacity as in the language part, or as in integrating the new words into the game part?

If you decide to open the game for translations, I would gladly translate it to spanish
Aerial Emperor
Noted. I'll do a test at some point soon to see how much effort it would be to ready the game for translations in practice.

Right, if you want to help crowdsource additional languages for the game, there's now a globally editable Google Doc here.
