So, now that troops can move when they aren't in a ship/building or jumping to one, does that mean you could order a building (captured or otherwise) to assault a target and the troops would attempt to advance from that building to the new target?
Yes, i think that is the idea.
At least part of it.
Yep, exactly. You can even tell a building/ship to first abandon ship, emptying it of all troops and sailors, and then tell the whole mob to charge an enemy building. 24 air sailors all at once are a pretty effective force.
Starts thinking evil thoughts*
This opens up some interesting ideas for defensive structures.
and it seems like it make sone or two gatling guns at the bottom of a building to ward off incoming troops a must
Or a flamethrower

I have a new idea for a ship.
Lol, I was just about to type that XD
"OVER THE SIDES!"
It seems like a new fleet addition could be a troop carrier, just filled to the brim with Marines to charge out into enemy defensive structures. Interesting!
We just need a way to not immediately fail a mission if you abandon all your ships and start charging an enemies fortifications with a bunch of ground troops
