There isn't currently any way to increase income, but the espionage stuff I'm working on for the next release right now will let you see income and construction progress of spied-on cities. :)
While we're on the subject, how does the occupation type affect the city's income after your conquest? I've just been operating on the assumption that more brutal kills its long-term productivity in exchange for being operational sooner.
Brutal & Pillage are 70% what Gentle get's you. I was tinkering for my mod, so I don't know how much it differs from the original income(I rewrote the income system thumbs up).
