I'll leave this open for anyone with a good airships story to tell. I'm a firm believer that strategy games always tell the best stories... COME PROVE IT!
Made the topic sticky. :)
I reserve the right to change this story at any time to fit the nature of my content. Last Updated 3/2/17.
Niceif Faths wasn't always a Genius Doctor Craft Engineer and Mass Manufacturer. It all started in his parents hovel and a handful of suspendium gems pulled from childhood toys. After lucrative spending and garage manufacturing; PsyPsyche Designs was born. From crafty handheld tools, jewellery, and even home appliances; the small company took the local industry by storm.
After financing through Mettopolis University using his own patented designs, Niceif sought a larger goal: Military Applications. Although this is no easy task - Mettopolis was under strict contract of Zark Enterprises and no opening existed. After many failed attempts in bringing his new ideas to life, considered absurd by most and not always by traditional means; he was exiled by the Arial Emperor of the nation state.
Nicief drifted; from Ulthar to to Ul Qoma, Fructopolis on to Krantzberg, only to find word of his exile had spread to the far reaches of this seemingly endless world. Rumor has it he and his ideas died atop Bardoom Mountain... that is until Psyringe found his remains.
Psyringe wasn't a Doctor, but with these new documents managed to fool the world into thinking he was. Psyringe was an alleged gangster warlord, claimed to have been financing the criminal underworld, and was on vacation whisping the clouds bundled around the mountains of Bardoom. With these new documents, he slowly impressed curious investors at various galas. Finally; Psyringe was given financing for the appropriate facilities to manufacture large quantities of deadly and affordable assault craft.
This was new to Psyringe. Used to small exchanges on the black market, he was now sought after by the legitimate and underground alike from the very welcoming airfields and hangars. But the designs didn't end there; Nicief had gone beyond practical applications and theorized the utility of elements not yet discovered; one in particular being "Anti-Suspendium". Psyringe, after conquering the markets of Backspire, Gug, and Squamos, finally had the financing to consider mining for said materials; although it's unclear to this day whether PsyPsyche Designs has such an element in their possession.
A scarred and battered industrialist with many attempts made on his life, Psyringe now grows PsyPsyche Designs as the most powerful CEO of the known world. Having reached the far ends of the globe with his applications and riches beyond most Arial Emperors, is never questioned with allegations of his supposed criminal past. Rather; is embraced for his common and affordable products, most of which are used to crush an opposing force with haste. It's rumored PsyPsyche Designs has technologies beyond wild imaginations; such as Parallel Universe Machines, Handheld Targeting Systems, Metal People, and even fantastic lightning guns that couldn't possibly exist in this world; all told to children as bedtime stories, no more real than aliens or Baba Yaga.
Impressive... Most impressive...
Now on the other side of the world. The New World as it is called.
Far away from most of the large and great empires in the old world lies a large amount of land called the new world, which was recently colonized. The territory is highly contested, with most large and powerful empires having a stake in the land. The land has a large population of natives who quickly made friends with one empire or another. The land is also rich with large amounts of Iron, coal, and wood. This made it highly attractive to war hungry empires in the old world. It didn't take long for these young colonies to turn hostile towards each other. With the pressure of the old world empires the colonies armed themselves and took to the fields in the name of a land many of them have never seen. The colonies turned from places of production and trade to one of border skirmishes and land grabs. Empire ships and money fueled the colonies and the wars they waged. It didn't take long for a class divide to appear and the nobles and generals forming a well off high tier while the soldiers and common folk had to suffer the horrors of the wars.
General Borus(or Piglet as his men called him) and Admiral Viktor served in the Kingdom of Suno. An isolated colony whose empire backer was destroyed overseas in the old world. The Kingdom was in a slow collapse as the local monarchy and nobles fought over power. The borders were shrinking and neighbor colonies were arming for a swift conquest. General Borus(Piglet) and Admiral Viktor both of common birth were done with the petty power struggle of the nobility and they met with their men. In secret they sent loyal officers across the small kingdom to speak to commoners and rally the people. They swayed loyalty within the ranks of the entire military of Suno. Than on a cold winter night the men stormed the castles and cities and swept control out of the nobles hands. The fight was short and was over within a couple days as most of the lower ranks were loyal to Piglet and Viktor and only a small fraction sided with the Nobles. The Monarch and many of the Nobles managed to flee and during that time they fled with most of the large warships of Suno. This left Piglet and Viktor with only a couple of cruisers and a small fleet of support vessels and no friends nearby.
Piglet and Viktor wasted no time. Piglet met with the officers and local troops while Viktor flew through the countryside rallying the people. Piglet and the officers devised a rather radical plan. The country had no heavy warships but there were plenty of civilian ships. Piglet and his officers decided to disarm and scrap the remaining cruisers and use the weapons to arm and armor the many small civilian vessels. Meanwhile Viktor rallied the people across the nation, telling tales of glory and promising a free society with no nobles or monarchy. The commoners swarmed the ranks of the military providing a large base of troops. Piglet and his officers new fleet of small vessels were filled with the vast amount of volunteers. The new fleet was assembled and trained and right on time as the Colonies of the (Pre Iron War) Polokian Empire and the Crian Empire formed a alliance and were attacking the Kingdom of Suno from both sides. Piglet and Viktor decided they had to split the forces and hold the line from opposite sides of the Kingdom. Piglet took 90% of the land forces and 75% of the Air forces while Viktor took the rest. Viktors men were mainly hardened soldiers and newly recruited fanatics. While Piglet had a large amount of green soldiers with only a small amount of trained soldiers and officers to lead them. Viktor took his men towards the mountains of the Polokian Colony border while Piglet went towards the flatlands of the Crian Colony border. Viktors men made small fortifications in the mountains and sent out airborne scouts. They saw the Polokians were marching a mass of land walkers through a small valley road. They had limited air support as heavy ships struggle to fly over high mountains. When Viktor heard the report he called on his fanatical troops and a loyal Marine, Madam Captain Rosa. He addressed them and told them about their duty to save the homeland and the glory that would always follow them. He told his troops to make the ultimate sacrifice and fly civilian ships over the marching walkers and crash into the front and rear walkers to halt their walkers and freeze up their forces. The martyrs flew out that day over the enemy formation and blew their suspedium tanks 300 meters above the enemy before they even knew what was happening. The front and rear walker wreckage nearly halted their progress. Viktor used his airships to shoot down all enemy airships trying to flee with messages and he launched gorilla warfare on the trapped, commandless, and confused enemy for 2 weeks until their eventual surrender.
Piglet and his forces marched to the opposite border to fight the full force of the Crian Colony. On the day of battle he saw the large ships and walkers lined up on the opposing field. Piglet acknowledged early that their ships were top military ships while his men had militia grade ships but they had much more. Piglet addressed his green airsailors to swarm the large enemy ships, his walkers to storm past the enemy landships and hit them from every angle, and his veteran soldiers flew the bombers overhead to deal the killer blow. The battle lasted several hours as the forces clashed and disengaged multiple times. The Crian forces weren't familiar with fighting mass numbers and struggled to fight off constant attacks from all sides. The day ended with a full Crian retreat and a bloody hard won Victory for Piglet and his troops.
Piglet and Viktor met after their successful battles and continued to rally their troops. They declared the Kingdom of Suno dead and announced themselves as a new nation, the Peoples Republic. Viktor headed the Peoples Republic as the first Chancellor while Piglet setup the Peoples Republic Army, better known as the PRA. With new leadership and a new command system the Peoples Republic quickly built up their military. They kept the small ships but upgraded the weapons and armor and made an incredible war machine. The PRA swept across the New world conquering colonies and raising rebellions among upset populations. Within a few years the whole of the Largest New World Continent was under PRA control.
The PRA remains a massive nation, solely concerned with holding it's borders and sponsoring rebellions abroad. Funding Revolutions like Chairman Meow's and many others. Viktor retired to a senior adviser role in the government while Piglet remains as a supportive general, giving advise on the ships and command system.
The Peoples Republic continues on with Chancellor Mica and PRA Head Commander Ruskov leading the Republic and its vast lands.
The Crian Empire is ruled under a type of Constitutional Monarchy (another player made it, has a line of ships posted to steam)

Continued story of the early Peoples Republic and the PRA
After it's quick uprising from the ashes of the Kingdom of Suno the Peoples Republic and the PRA wasted no time in sweeping across the New World. Piglet and Viktor took the large New World continent by force using rebellions, revolutions, and mass ship attacks to overwelm their neighbors. The PRA used light fuel independent vessels (sails and compressed suspedium) to intercept the large coal dependent warships that crossed the sea. The large Empire coal warships required a massive supply line to fly across the ocean. The PRA used their light craft to destroy the support vessels refueling the warships and forced the warships to turn home or find a new home in the depths of the ocean.
The Empires quickly noticed the flaw in their oversized warships and sent light craft over instead. The PRA fighters were on equal footing with these light empire vessels and used superior numbers to keep them from resupplying and reinforcing their colonies. The Empires were too slow to react to this new combat style and watched their oversea colonies collapse to the Peoples Republic. The colonies without their empire support of weapons and ships collapsed under the mass amount of small ships the PRA sent into their lands. Combined with multiple peasant uprisings the PRA had secured the whole of the continent by the end of Cronicas First Iron War.
Now with a massive amount of territory(rivaling the size of the modern Russia) and with all large pockets of resistance crushed the Peoples Republic had peace. This was a problem for Viktor and Piglet, they had a nation built around patriotism and glory and now with no one left to fight they had little message to rally the people around. Within a couple months Piglet and Viktor stepped down to advising positions and allowed their new found party Peoples Freedom Party run the nation. A election was held and Chancellor Mica won by a landslide (no organized party opposed her).
Chancellor Mica helped rally the country around freedom and their ideals and started a massive trade network with other nations (ones that didn't have colonies previously in the Peoples Republic land). They sold huge amounts of lumber and coal and gave the nation a steady economy. Massive production lines were setup and the country became a huge market of raw materials, especially of those essential to building warships. Enemies of the Peoples Republic began to buy this cheap lumber and coal off of the peoples republics partners(technically they were still at war with the PRA).
The PRA now with no enemies was struggling to find itself. It took multiple redesigns to find a proper system based around reserve soldiers. The PRA was also struggling in modern warfare. The Peoples Republic was based around military ranking instead of money so the youth wanted to become soldiers and rise through the ranks. This left a massive void of doctors, professionals, and researchers. The PRA fixed this by making many high level jobs a high level military rank and therefore encouraging some youth to take a supportive role.
The PRA military tech was significantly behind the Old World. Deckguns were still common while the Old World boasted suspedium cannons. The nobles and aristocrats who fled the Peoples Republic during the war took most of the education and military research with them, so the PRA was left with rather crude weapons and technology to try to build a military out of. Piglet and the new head PRA Commander Ruskov decided to stick with the small ship fleet and rely on their fanatical soldiers to win the day. They focused research on grappling hooks and suspedium gauntlets, strong enough to blast a hole through a mech spider. Micro gliding ships that could quietly cruise down from the skies and offload a squad of Marines right onto the deck of a warship. Suspedium bombs that could blow apart a Grade A warships supports to pieces when placed properly by a Marine.
The PRA quickly updated their military around these close range and radical weapons and when the Crian Empire and its allies sent a fleet of 12 Grade A Warships along with a full support of cruisers and fighters, the PRA met them over the ocean eagerly. The battle lasted for multiple days until the Crian Empire and its allies were forced to retreat with a broken fleet. The PRA Swarm was simply too much. Swarmed, shot, bombed, and boarded from every angle the massive warships were overwelmed by the thousands of small ships the PRA sent in. For every ship they shot into the ocean it seemed two more appeared. A quartermaster from the Crian Alliance swore "The enemy had more ships than we had shells, our massive cannons were near useless against that damn swarm".
After this battle the Crian Alliance has attempted 2 more invasions, one suffering another defeat at sea, the other facing a draw at the Peoples Republic border, and having to withdraw due to fleet damage. The PRA continues to build up its defensive bunker wall and massive air fleet. Limiting its sales of precious lumber, coal, and iron to a select few nations.
Although the fleets technology is known to be a few decades behind the Old World the image of a glory hungry PRA marine with a suspedium gauntlet is enough to send shivers through even the most hardened airsailors. So to this day the Peoples Republic remains, number 1 enemy of most Old World Empires and a reminder to many people that they too, can rise up.
Perhaps a map would come in handy...
A Map would be pretty cool, I wonder what Zark would think about making a background story to Airships. Take input from the community and than build something off that, doesn't need to be too complicated.
Could also use the faction names for AI in conquest, if really into it could make those AI factions fighting styles based around the factions in the lore.
Test Map, Old World on the right hand side, New World on the left.
PRA Upper left corner.
Test Map 2, territories roughly where I think they belong, need to know more countries to fill in rest.
An "official" map would defeat the purpose of procedural generation.
Additionally my story consists of names and locations already present in the source. What I mean to say is the names and places already exist; it's up to the storyteller to employ them.
To make things easy: "Krantzberg", "Fjordon", "Dingleton", "Lonlin", "Northwestex", "Darkfellbane", "Stormness", "Hatwick", "Catwick", "Fruchtenbach", "Irem", "Mettepolis", "Retropolis", "Greytowers", "Blackspire", "Wombaton", "Nuyok", "Lepidoptera", "Tepid Falls", "Subtle Creek", "Ungrashzon", "Strultekud", "Gomdat", "Daggergild", "Sigun", "Lubbud", "Woundford", "Bardoom", "Gildfield", "Ulthar", "Squamos", "Narlikon", "Pale", "Kulinrovod", "Zirnoglesh", "Crowlantern", "Ringfast", "Likorsoth", "Korono", "Nettacar", "Kolaran", "Sacculina", "Fructopolis", "Ionesco", "Nimbus", "Ul Qoma", "Catbridge", "Gug", "Kooh Der", "Rizzugat", "Uncton"
The nation of Korono is a civilization riddled with small pockets of pirates and brigands and is, thus a home for the lowest breed of the common society. Seeing as the nation is so disorganized, it rarely ever participates in armed conflict and is a more... Subtle nation in it's conflict. Now dear reader, you may of course wonder: what possible damage could a nation so small and chaotic could do in conflict? In fact, why has it not been absorbed by the PRA? (It's western neighbor) Simply put, they possessed the one counter to the PRA's tactics: The Specter. No one is truly sure where this wondrous machine was found but the stories are as wild as the machine itself. Some say the machine was found deep in the bowels of some form of "mock castle" created by a bored Mad Scientist. Others that it was found in the middle of ritual circle during cultist worship. Whatever the origin, it did not change the outcome. Dear reader, the Specter was a cloaking device. And a damn good one at that. Using this, the Koronian's mustered their funds and crew (Mercenaries of course) and created a capital ship that could only be described as a "Super-Battleship"
INTERCEPTED REPORT FROM PRA OFFICER:
There is always three signs to any attack by the (CLASSIFIED)
ONE: First, you'll ALWAYS be able to see it's shadow. The (CLASSIFIED) isn't as advanced as the Koronians will let on.
TWO: Second, the (CLASSIFIED) ALWAYS will include the low drone of it's ten suspendium engines. Listen closely.
THREE: If you hear ANY form of cannon fire in Korono territory, ALWAYS look for cannon fire at the rear of your fleet. It's the regular target for the (CLASSIFIED).
@Arkovan, you didn't post a image for me to go off of. Cronica being its own continent is a kind of important detail that was left out.....also its trade infrastructure and development from being in isolation so long is also quite strange.
@Respawn, I adjusted the map and put Korono in, would it be fine as a small island based nation or would it be a larger one? Korono would have to be in the New World as the PRA invasion fleets aren't designed to cross the vast ocean to the Old World.
*The PRA after acquiring the whole of its current territory did attempt invasions on Korono, the ICF, and Irem. The invasions were mostly failures, with retreats from Korono and The ICF and a partial occupation of Irem that was very temporary. Upon Piglet and Viktor stepping down and Chancellor Mica stepping in the attitude of The Peoples Republic changed. Mica sent diplomats to Korono, The ICF, and Irem. In Korono the Peoples Republic made trade deals for the precious high quality suspedium from the island, in exchange for police ships, mercenaries, and money. The ICF was the biggest trade hub in the New World. The Peoples Republic set up trade deals for its massive supply of timber, coal, and iron as few other nations would trade with the Peoples Republic directly. In Irem the Peoples Republic sent gift of ships and money, and bought their suspedium at 3x market value to establish good relations. They established a military alliance and Irem helps keep a watch on The Crian Alliance and their sea bound movements. The Peoples Republic quickly setup a Alliance with The Republic of Meow after a successful revolution and it remains the Peoples Republic favorite ally and friend.
**Rumor has it that a few years after the battle of Korono the PRA fleet started carrying paint canister shots(neon green, glows in dark) inside some of their vessels. The Officers claim this is to help mark out weak spots and high priority targets. The crew though whispers about battles with Korono years ago and how they carry this to counter a "ghost ship".
See "post formatting help" below the input field. :)
Korono's quite a tiny nation but (In my mind at least) It is connected by a landmass to PRA. Also yes it's a new world nation that failed to organize rapidly and... Well you can see the state it's in.
The History of The Crian Empire
The Crian Empire is the oldest large nation in the Old and New World. They have existed for over the last 2000 years and many historians claim even longer. They boast a long history of many great accomplishments. Such as the first suspedium engine, modernization of the cannon, modern steel, typewriter, first computer, and the modern radio(only the Crian Alliance has a modern radio communication system).
The Crian Empire has faced many trials during its existence and currently they face another. Growing overly confident in their military based around old fighting styles in the old world they were taken by surprise when conflicts in the New World quickly grew out of control. Old Generals were too slow to adapt and much of the riches the Empire knew were snatched away by new independent nations.
The Crian Alliance were set on sending their 3rd Armada "The Royal Vanguard" but plans were ruined by the nation of Lonlin starting a (accidental) border conflict "The Mulholland Conflict". This turned the Crian Alliance against the nation and resulted in a short but costly war. Lomlin was left as a nation but as a condition joined the Crian Alliance. After the Mulholland Conflict the PRA established an alliance with Irem, the Crians couldn't use Irem as a resupply point, they had no way to send the 3rd Armada safely across the ocean. Over the next decade they attempted 3 different assaults with the 5th Armored Airship Battalion. None of the assaults were successful and The Crian Alliance were back to where they started. The Crians failed at making any alliances with New World nations as the PRA threat was too great and the Crians were already friendly with most Old World Nations. They decided to try a new route, heading east instead of west to assault the People's Republic.
This should be interesting...
Seeing as an attack was imminent, the Koronians quietly settled old disputes with the PRA and other small nation's to create a "League of Allies" as piglet put it. Their newfound trading wealth was simply not worth losing.
Respawn, would you prefer this for Koronia, they would be south of the People's Republic instead but larger and much closer.
Also managed to somehow negotiate their way into the ICF, probably because of the spector. One ICF nation supplies soldiers, the other ships, and Koronia supplies the spector.
*All subject to your editing, I'll delete and change what is needed.
@fatpiglet sure... It be nice to be in the south...
New map with Cronica and the NWLA
Of course, we of the PRA's league have allies...
Hell yeah! That's an awesome map!
Seeing as the PRA's already given up, its now up to Korono to withstand the Cronican's massive assault...
PUT FIFTY MORE CANNONS ONTA THAT SHIP, DAMNIT! DOES THE CRONICAN EMPIRE LOOK LIKE THE TYPE OF NATION THAT COULD BE CHALLENGED BY TWENTY?!
Piglet... The specter... IS GETTING AN UPGRADE.
Hahaha, thanks Respawn I needed that. Made me giggle.
Cronica was a cool nation, until it evolved into an unbeatable invincible war machine.
I posted about it earlier, tried to gently suggest stepping it back a little.
Nothing wrong with a strong nation, but whats the point if the nation is unbeatable. When others nations strengths were absolutely harmless. The end of the story is obvious. The worlds fate is sealed.
We can make something pretty cool, but it requires cooperation not domination.
I haz a cool country idea! Ish Polslava, a poland-like country! Here it is. Cough Cough.
Polslava is a tiny poland-ish country that is about the same size. they are a major trade hub to all countries, and has a unique "Open Palms" zone that is for trading weapons, supplies, and coercing with other nations in the zone. Since it is a major hub in the new world (ooh is in cool map above!) Polslava is never attacked. It's kind of like a lemonade stand, but for guns. Everyone likes it, and WHO the CLAY attacks a lemonade stand? srsly. Not only will you get lots of backlash, maybe a fistfight with the father/mother, (in our case allies) and no lemonade! So, anyways, this makes Polslava a major base for spies, too; ships from all nations coming in and out of the open palms zone, all kinds of ships, too. From ironclads to simple schooners, anything. Spies from around the world have set an embassy here; from PRA spies to Crians, they set up an embassy their and the Polslavian goverment let's them stay, but in return for no spy stuffs occurring to Polslavian buildings, machines, or vital assets. The Polsavs have standard issue walkers, tanks, and airships. Not indestructible, but are good enough to staunch assaults. Here, is where many diplomatic orders are made; from surrenders to victories, trade embargoes, draws, and alliances. Polslavia has a good military, too; with walkers good enough to staunch anything PRA or Crian, and enough of them to defend. They never assault nations, only playing defensive roles. Airships are strong enough to halt any rival airships, and the navy is like the Tsarist Russian navy at it's peak. They have a democratic government system, but with only highly acknowledged individuals from Polslavia.
So yeh. that's Polslavia! A coot, tiny nation that the other nations like, and has no major enemies or allies.
Cool man, sounds good.
You could be one of the Island nations in the ICF (Independent Colony Federation) They are a major trade hub in the New World. Otherwise I could place you onto one of the other continents in the New World if you would prefer that.
Yesh pls, I want Polslava to be the teensy weensy island a tiny bit to the right of the PRA! :D
Updated Map with Polslava!
Also deleted past history now that Cronica and its history is up in the air.
Polslava was one of the island nations that prepared defenses when the young PRA was sweeping through the continent.
When the PRA was in its conquest phase, sweeping through the continent, Polslava was already a developed New World nation. The largest trading hub of the New World at the time.
The PRA under Piglet and Viktor attempted invasions of many nearby island nations. They also did skirmish with Polslava forces several times. The fights consisted mainly of light scout craft from both sides exchanging volleys and rifle fire at distance and than running away. Casualties were light on both sides, but the tension was thick. Polslava traded with enemies of the People's Republic and being their nearest neighbor this did not create good relations. The PRA was a significant threat to Polslava and Polslava was too risky to attack for the PRA. An invasion would be costly and bloody to both sides, a lose/lose situation for both parties involved at this point.
When Chancellor Mica took over she went down a diplomatic road with the nations neighbors. Most island nations settled deals fairly quickly and successfully. Polslava and the People's Republic took a year to call an official ceasefire to border skirmishes. Relations were rough with Polslava dealing with the Crian Alliance, the PRA was nervous about their largest enemy having weapon exchanges so close to the border.
Polslava and the People's Republic settled the issue after 5 years with a trade deal.
Polslava and the ICF continued to develop as the New World primary trading hubs. Although Polslava remained the diplomatic center between the Old and New world. Famously all major nations signed the Polslava convention treaty. The first worldwide treaty that established basic war laws. Respect of prisoners, protection of civilians, no weapons of mass and reckless destruction.
*Subject to your editing
Polslava and the PRA, during the skirmishes, end up settling it with an agreement; The Polslava government only trades with enemies of the PRA via open oceans, and the PRA stops border conflicts and supplies Polslava with a large sum of lumber, and enough coal to fuel the growing Polslavian nation. This is accepted, and a dark future is thrown away. Instead of a great war similar to WWI, and both sides losing, the Polslavians and PRA get a win/win situation. The PRA is safe from any massive conflicts and can access the vast and prosperous Polsavian market , and the Polslavians don't lose the entire beauty of the trading portion of the nation by an invasion, and get supplies. This begins to make both nations stronger; soon, the PRA's outclassed, under-whelming and old ships are replaced with shiny, beautiful titans of the skies, and Polslavia's vast market of weapons, foodstuffs, and resources grows much more. This does, however, have a negative impact on the Crian Empire's association with Polslavia. From having access to anything from any ship to limited supplies by sea, this makes the Crian's angry. Meanwhile, the Polslavians develop the first "Metal Soldiv", a robot-like soldier about 10 ft tall, and mounting machineguns and small rockets. This revolutionizes the Polslavian Military, and is kept a closely guarded secret. It's riflemen power dwindles by 1/3, because of the "Metal Soldiv" and it's great power. Not only does the Polslavian military have the factories, but DEFINITELY have the money to buy supplies abroad. For now, seems like the PRA is safe from a massive world war, and Polslavia is safe from any major border conflicts with the PRA. The Crians look suspicious, however...
During this period following the PR/Polslava agreement the island nations entered a age of prosperity. Korono, The ICF, Nimbus, Irem, and the Republic of Meow all came together during this period of development. They created the NWLA (New World League of Allies) a set of trade agreements and treaties that bound the islands into a defensive alliance. Each nation was required to defend another nation if attacked and forces regularly met and trained together. Each nation provided a unique specialty to the fleet making it an incredibly potent force over the open ocean.
The People's Republic became a partial partner in the NWLA shortly after its creation. Due to their hostile relations with much of the world the People's Republic only got to enjoy some benefits of the alliance.
During the Islands time of prosperity the People's Republic was hit by a wave of troubles. A political Clash turned violent, the Mica/Ivena conflict. Than a crop blight in the northern region caused widespread famine . A seabound kraken migration followed this. The krakens destroyed several small ports but the real damage was the fear instilled in coastal towns. Coastal cities and towns saw their numbers halve in a matter of weeks, slowing the industry to a crawl. Crian saboteurs successfully destroy a PRA research lab as well as several dozen prototype ships. Chancellor Mica orders martial law for the next 6 months until order can be established. Communications dropped dramatically.
Shipments of supplies from Polslava and the NWLA flooded in at first to replenish the nation. Although appreciated much of it went to waste. Crian agents were able to swap transportation orders and construction supplies were sent to small villages and seeds and farm supplies was sent to military bases. Eventually under martial law the order came back. Supplies went where it needed to go and people moved back to their original homes. It took years for resettlement to be completed. The People's Republic is massive and the rural regions of the nation are vast. Many commoners live their whole lives without seeing another village.
The People's Republic came back gradually. It hired advisers from all of the NWLA. The nations economy, industry, agriculture, and military were stabilized. Going from a war focused nation to an industrial one. Still a developing nation the People's Republic continued to mature.
PRA generals met with the NWLA generals and soon the PRA filled the voids of the NWLA fleet. Soldiers, light ships, and supply boats reinforced the current NWLA fleet. The NWLA fleet was now able to travel further, longer, faster, and in greater strength.
The Crian Alliance and the old world wasn't sitting idle in this time. New technology and treaties made the Crian Alliance stronger than it was previously and new young generals with tactical training gave the fleet the modern edge it needed to take the fight back to the New World.
During the age that the New World entered a prosperous age, the NWLA is formed. However, the only country not to join is Polslavia, since it still has concern of the Old World Nations and their trade embargoes with Polslavia. This made relations between the NWLA sour by a bit, and made relations with the Crians and Old World nations brighten. But, during the massive famines that plagued the PRA, they did not sit back and watch; they supplied the PRA with almost billions of tons of food and food production facilities. This staunched a majority of the famine in the more populated zones, and made PRA civilians migrate to the densely populated areas in great numbers. Soon, things went back to normal, until kraken migrations rustled the New World's jimmies once more. Soon, the fear of Krakens came to Polslavia. But, because of their help to the PRA, the PRA stood in to help Polslavia. Enforcing the naval borders with PRA-supplied ironclads and warships, they halted any major migration of Krakens to Polslavia and NWLA nations. However, Crian spies sabotaged a PRA research station and docks, destroying several prototype ships in the process. Once more, Polslavia steps in to fill the gap; they supply them with construction equipment, supplies, and man power to rebuild it. it is rebuilt in less than a month.
So far, Polslavia wants to remain neutral and not enter a coalition or League, in order to keep balance of the trading market of Polslavia.
Of course, we of the NLWA helped manage the kraken infestation too... They never saw it coming.
U so silly, respawn!
Never saw the specter coming!
The NLWA still kept most trade ties with the Old World and other nations since the PRA wasn't part of the trade agreement in the alliance. Also the ICF was a critical trade partner. Being the most central trading hub in the New World they were in the middle of many trade routes. Able to trade raw materials from all 3 New World continents.
Calica (The PRA continent) West Operon (smaller left side continent) and East Operon (larger right side continent.
The 3 new world continents as in...? As in, what are the 3 continents called?
During the latter part of the "golden age" of the NWLA, the Crian Empire offers a deal with Polslava. The Crians give Polslava several shipyards in the Crian Empire, two factories, and massive amounts of resources (5,000 kg of metals, supplies, and food, for each month) for 20 years, if the Crians can have the
"good old days" of trading style, which means that the Crians can land massive fleets and trade ships from overseas and trade in Polslava. The Polslavian Goverment, now wanting more factories to produce Soldiv Robots and weapons, promplty accept. So, now Crian forces can land in Polslava and trade in land, and this sours tensions with the PRA and NWLA by a bit.
Within a hour of the Crian/Polslava trade bargain the People's Republic's embassy is evacuated. Within three hours of the deal PRA soldiers on the nearest coastal cities are rallied. Within six hours the massive coastal guns of both nations turn to target each other directly. Within 24 hours the PRA Head Commander Ruskov orders a full mobilization of the PRA fleet, all spies in the Crian Empire and Polslava are ordered to turn aggressive. Chancellor Mica objects but the anger and frustration of the Polslava trade agreement being broken put all the power into Commander Ruskov's hands.
The PRA moved its ocean fleet into full blockade stance. The navy and much of the airfleet moved to the open ocean to contest any Crian forces moving towards Polslava. Much of the remaining airfleet circled Polslava, waiting for orders and watching for hostility.
The People's Republic has a population of over 750 million people, the largest of any single nation. The PRA called upon its 20 million soldiers and 200 million militia reserves. 130 million militia troops were ordered into full alert but not mobilized. 50 million militia and 10 million soldiers reinforced the nations borders from North to South. The remaining 10 million soldiers and another 20 million militia amassed on the border nearest to Polslava. Massive yards of ships were given airsailors to occupy them. Small D-Day like landing craft were filled with soldiers and placed onto naval transport ships, ready to drop them onto the beaches of Polslava. Suspedium gauntlets were given to soldiers and large caliber heavy rifles given to militia.
Generals discussed battle plans and looked over maps. Soldiers cleaned their weapons and polished their armor. Airsailors stocked the ships with guns and did final inspections. Spies armed their suspedium bombs placed into discreet locations among the Polslava defensive bunker wall.
The PRA command waited, waited for Polslava to attack, for Crian ships to start crossing the ocean, for the NWLA to choose a side, for an ambassador to make a deal. The PRA prepped everything they could, now they waited for a spark to ignite this powder keg, or some water to defuse it.
The NWLA was in a awkward position. Multiple decisions and none of them looking optimal. The NWLA wasn't required to assist since the PRA wasn't attacked and were already at war with The Crian Alliance. The NWLA was split on a decision, stay neutral and wait, join the PRA and assist them in the potential conflict to come, or to break the alliance and join the Crians and Polslava.
Many arguments were had, senators cursed, the council erupted in chaos, fistfights broke out. Eventually a vote was called, the nations were split among the decisions and a dozen Korono senators were left with the final vote.
After the massed buildup of forces along the Polslavian border, the Poslavians order a cease on the mass-trading with the Crians, since things have went from a simple trade agreement to a near apocalyptic war. The Polslavian Soldiv armored robots march around Polslavian bunker lines, and eventually, they find a saboteur. He is interrogated, and soon several suspendium bombs and sabotage weapons are found and disarmed. This makes tensions between Polslavia and the PRA worsen even more, with newspapers about sabotage attempts concur around the entire nation, and to other colonies, too. The Crians use this as propaganda, and the NWLA begins to slowly pull itself apart, now knowing a inside job against the most important trading hub and diplomatic nation could have collapsed a majority of the New World's Economy. The new super-weapon known as the Metal Soldiv is finally revealed to the public, and most nations stand in awe at this new player on the armored field. Although not immortal, it can resist any small-arms fire, rockets up to 150 mm in caliber, and any small to moderate cannon, up to 75 mm in caliber. This makes many spies and saboteurs ward off of sabotage. Although the Polslavians are not unbeatable, it would be one heck of a fight, and allies of the nation would definitely back them up. So, the supply routes are redrawn, and the Crians can only get supplies via sea, and the PRA doesn't have to mass forces on the border. However, because of the bomb plans, many Polslavian trading ships refuse to trade with the PRA, mainly suspendium crystal companies and high-tech weapon sellers.
The Koronians look at the long term; It's a learned skill form all the shady business the have had to get involved with to keep their tiny nation prosperous. They were in the most tense situation anyone had ever put them in... But choose the must and choose they did: Korono declared it would not be leaving the NWLA and instead would choose to help the PRA in their last stand. The thousands of spies and underworld contacts in foreign territory were mobilized and immediately began bombing suspected Soldiv factories and spreading distrust and fear. The Specter was spotted at a later date intercepting Poslavanian supply runs. Classic Korono.
Soon, after a long-term stare between other nations, (and several sabotaged factories) the Poslavians decide in order to maintain peace, they revert back to old trading styles, and the PRA, along with ex-NWLA nations are allowed trade routes. However, the spy embassy is now more seclusive, and spy attempts in the country draw lots of distrust to the spy embassy in Polslavia from the public. And, although traders are now trading with ex-NWLA nations, the public stills gives the PRA dirt for the bomb plantings. (obviously). So, all trade routes went back to normal before the Crian trading crisis, and a sabotage of factories (albeit not Solidov factories, they are located underground) has made the Polslavian production slow down a bit. Hopefully, things don't get worse.
PRA saboteurs being fanatical agents make a risky plan. They would have a agent "get caught" and questioned (PRA spies are never accidently captured, suspedium suicide vests are standard issue. They are incredibly reliable and deadly). The agent would give bomb details about bunkers and other military establishments. Agents would actually focus on ports and factories, the bloodline of the Polslava nation. Eventually they combined with Korono agents. Together they tag teamed factories and ports like frat boys tag team a keg and a bong.
With the NWLA siding with the PRA it gave the nation the confidence to remain offensive. The Polslava Solidov's were intimidating but the PRA had no plans on fighting them on equal terms. Solidovs had incredible armor but PRA soldiers didn't give a shit. Exhaust vents could be clogged, its guns could be shot, joints could be bombed, it could be killed, although PRA generals had no plans of letting infantry fight it. PRA airships could strike where the Solidovs were not. The Solidovs only had so much ammo and fuel, the PRA airships had an unlimited supply. They could run them around their island nation for as long as the generals saw fit. The blockade would suffocate Polslava, without trade they had little resources to work off of.
The NWLA and ICF reunited with Korono's decision to join the PRA. They took over the trade market and monopolized the New World's trade network. Precious raw materials flowed through the ICF and they happily picked up Polslava's lost business.
The People's Republic under pressure from a mobilizing Crian Fleet and Polslava under attack from sabotage and blockade eventually settle on a new agreement and the forces from both nations back off. The People's Republic now back under Mica's control drastically change diplomatic relations. All trade from the People's Republic is directed to the ICF and other NWLA nations, supplies from Polslava are strictly banned. The PRA intimidates West and East Operon nations to almost exclusively trade with the ICF. Now with all of the New World continents funneling their trade goods into the ICF they become the New Worlds largest trading hub.
The People's Republic suffers more diplomatic damage after yet another story of PRA spies and saboteurs comes out. After sponsoring nearly a dozen foreign revolutions (2 were successful), acting out hundreds of acts of sabotage, and thousands of accounts of bribery, assassination, extortion, and stealing, this simply added a note to their record.
Polslava and the PRA relations remain on a knife edge. Polslava now has to rely on Old World trade partners and allies, now that most of the New World is trading through the ICF. The PRA strains relations further by regularly skirmishing any Crian vessel whether military or civilian that departs towards Polslava.
*Although rumor has it that Korono is actually doing most of the raids and attacks on Crian trade ships. The PRA always claims responsibility for the attacks despite Crian sailors often claiming that they were attacked and raided by something unnatural.
After the Polslavian Government lost control over the spies, Polslavia launched a daring plan: The Ostev Plan. This is a plan that would shut down any and all trade routes in both worlds new and old, collapse the trading economy, and revolutions would spread like wildfire. While the PRA could sustain itself, they would surely be doomed under this plan, along with the Crians and anything in both worlds. It would be a secret plan, too; before any other nation would be a major trade hub. Soon, after all supply lines are cut, Polslavia breaks loose, and with billions, even trillions of tons of resources to survive, they isolate the nation from the Ostev "Plague". Defensive lines hold ground. The spy embassy is destroyed, and all official documents on spies in the nation begins a witchhunt all over the country. They exile spies, usually with a kind goodbye and a nice ship. Within weeks, the Crian empire explodes into revolt, and many old generals migrate all over the place. Going into the PRA to wreak havoc on the country, to the smaller isles, and spreading throughout the old Crian territory. They become warlords, with new territories and ideaologies. Some try to land in Polslavia, but all attempts fail. Other southern nations erupt in skirmishes with others, and the NWLA falls down with a small nudge. The PRA also begins to have revolts: Some wishing an old empire like Suno, others wanting a completely new nation. The Polslavians, having had prepared, retreat into the Pol Mountains, and hide there until reports come in. Defense structures blow up, along with the majority of the cities. almost nothing remains, leading others to believe the Pols simply vanished.
Or so what would happen if the Ostev Plan were to be launched; a complete doomsday of the economy and revolts en masse. Polslava instead, hoping to ease relations with the PRA and ICF (since they are at the door of Polslavia), cut trades with the Crians and focus on the PRA and ICF. Crian convoys stop, and trade routes go into the PRA and ICF. Soon, a good economy is back; from a total and complete apoc of nations to a less.. red future. PRA trading companies gladly accept this, getting rich resources and new technologies, such as Suspendium Gem Growing equipment and Soldivs. Same goes for the ICF. Soon, a time reminiscent of the "Golden Age" of the New World. Now, hoping to appease the PRA and ICF, the economy rebuilds once more.
The People's Republic calms down once Polslava cuts its trade deals with The Crian Alliance. Although following public demand Chancellor Mica continues the trade ban with Polslava but lifts the ban on Polslava goods. Companies get around this by setting up trade deals and exchanging the products in Korono. It cuts down on the efficiency and is charged an additional small tariff by Korono but the products get where they need to go(if the merchants payout the local Koronian mafia first of course)
The PRA gets a dozen Soldivs, generals quickly grew to dislike the things. Good defensive weapons but more expensive than a bunker and much less mobile than a airship. They were sent to a military base and research lab. The internal parts were gutted and experimental weapons were tested against the armored hulls.
During this time the People's Republic in a relatively safe position continue to focus on internal development. With the People's Republic stepping into the sidelines this put the relations and development of the New World into the hands of the NWLA.
The NWLA steps up to the role of the New World leader. The ICF(Korono, Sigun, and New Loria) held the majority of power in the NWLA, therefore they got to make the decisions. The ICF was one of the strongest economies in the world and they held incredible power. Access to a massive number of mercenaries, diplomats and spies in every nation worth its suspedium, and an almost complete monopoly on the worlds lumber and coal exchange.
This made the ICF into a economic and diplomatic superpower.
Soon, once the PRA has calmed down, the Polslavian military begins to advance. With heaps of resources, cash, and sub-terrain factories operated by modified Soldiv robots, the new Soldiv-II comes out. Faster, with lighter armor, and autocannons, this forms the bulk of a new division of Polslavian units: The Airborne Brigades. Unlike the other formations, they are for assault and defense. They can travel from anywhere in the world quickly, and allow for quick blitzkrieg-like attacks on any enemy. The Soldiv-II is kept a closely guarded secret, along with the entire factory complex. The leader of Polslavia (Uzbek Poznak at the time) is one of the five Polslavians that know of this. The other four, (two military, two economical) know of the factory. Nobody in both worlds is even allowed in the mountains; it's a strict no-fly zone that has heaps of anti-aircraft and anti-armor guns and fortifications. While this was going on, the PRA ask for plans to the Soldiv-I robot; this is refused, since the Polslavian military wants to build a much better machine before then. Korono also asks for the Polslavian Soldiv-I design and legal papers to build it, and is refused also. Soon, both nations decide it to be better buying them from military trading markets, although very few and expensive Soldivs are sold. Later on, the Polslavians make the Soldiv-III, a machine that stand 20 feet tall, is immune to guns up to 150 mm in caliber, and practically any rocket you can chuck at it. All weaknesses from the first and second are "ironed out" (badumm tss) and it becomes a formidable defensive machine. Although not the fastest machine, they are faster than the Soldiv-I, and have much better armor and firepower. They have two heavy gatling guns to use, and can destroy heavily armored targets with them. With that, comes secondary guns; a few small machineguns attached to the sides of the arms carrying the gatlings, and two small rocket batteries capable of blanketing a small zone with boom. They are also much more reliable, running on petrol and being able to go 450 miles without running out of gas. They don't need much parts to survive, either. They can jog all around Polslavia about a hundred times before breaking down, by estimate. Soon, the Soldiv-II is seen in the Polslavian Military Parade. Unconfirmed reports of the Soldiv-III are heard of in the PRA and NWLA, yet are not taken seriously. Who knows what's next...
Later on, Polslavian officials and scientists begin to embark on a series of programs to test new cannons. Soon, with heaps of money and resources, the scientists get to work; in a year, they develop the first "Plasma Artillery" a plasma-launching cannon capable of melting through the thickest armor, and with decent range. Soon, they begin to make new fully-automated fortress buildings to mount these guns, with several across the border with the PRA and several pointing towards the Crians.
During a long-term period, the Polslavian Goverment sets up an an outpost in the southern island in the Old World, and establish a trading city to trade with the Crians. Soon, they have both the NWLA states and Crian Empire trading with Polslavia, Boosting stocks and the Nation's Wealth to almost twice that.
The PRA isn't alarmed much, mainly because the Polslavian port city of Odessa (In honor of the brave defenders of Odessa.) is much farther away. Now, both the Crian, PRA, and ICF nations can trade with Polslavia.
After Odessa is founded, a series of defectors from the PRA come to Odessa. These include a few major ships, and several troop transports. They come to give up the ships to the Crians, but instead the ships end up in Polslavian hands. The defectors to the PRA live as traders then on, with new aliases and no military rank. The ships are studied closely, and one seemed to have a unknown cargo. This ship was also one of the smaller cruisers, and, although not the best, was to be integrated into the Polslavian Aeronautical Force. Anyways, back to the special cargo. It seemed to be a new expiremental weapon that had the size of a normal cannon, but could penetrate a Soldiv-I's armor. As a matter of fact, it seemed that was the Cannon's main purpose. The Polslavian Government kept the captured weapon secret, however. After finding a small manual for assembling the weapon, they put to work, and built the weapon and tested it on a Soldiv-I Body. The shot went right through, and penetrated the body with little effort. Now, with Polslavian Factories trying to reproduce the weapon, the PRA sends a spy to Odessa, to find the cruiser among the Polslavian Refitting docks. This makes PRA officials worry immensely; some even wanting to land in Odessa to find it. So far, no operation has been launched,
The People's Republic elects a new leader, Chancellor Christo. Chancellor Christo served as Chancellor Mica's second in command until her recent retirement. Chancellor Christo rules in a very similar style of his predecessor and continues the full trade ban with Polslava. The greater majority of the trade resources of the New World continues to funnel through the ICF.
The PRA continues research and production in practical efficient weapons. The worlds first and only assault rifle is made, the RAR-1. The rifle was developed by Commander Ruskov's son, Ruskov Junior. The Ruskov Automatic Rifle is a 35 round automatic weapon. Its bullets can penetrate steel walls and light wood armor and it is incredibly efficient at medium to close ranges. It enters full production after a brief prototype phase and is widely distributed throughout the PRA, and shortly after, the black market.
The RAR-1 under order of Commander Ruskov was made standard issue weapon for all active and reserve military members. Soon after this he ordered all physically and mentally capable citizens over the age of 15 also be issued a RAR after 2 weeks of training. This made is so during times of high alert ammunition could be distributed to citizens and make the entire nation hostile to any invasion force. It would be difficult to occupy any part of the nation when you know every barn, house, shed, and forest could have some armed militia waiting.
The PRA continued developing small weapons for infantry and light vehicles. Napalm bombs and rockets could cook airsailors, overheat engines, and burn up electronics. The New SPG (Suspedium Powered Grenade) could launch a large variety of grenades with only a single soldier needed for operation and transportation. Making even basic infantry units deadly to armored ships. Soon every PRA infantry squad is equipped with RAR-1's with under barrel grenade launchers and several SPGs. The elite boarding squads continue to use the SG-V3 (suspedium gauntlet version 3) for its unrivaled short range firepower and ability to be shot one handed.
The PRA contracts out many dive bombers and pilots from Irem. The Iremian Dive Bomber is infamous for their ability to destroy heavily armored landships and bunkers by delivering a small, heavy, high explosive bomb exactly on target. The momentum of the bomb would puncture through even the thickest of armor and the explosion following would rip apart machinery and kill crew. Combined with the rest of the massive PRA airfleet they make a lethal duo.
The PRA also begins exporting (illegally) its highly addictive drug CC1. Street names also called CC, gogo, and soldier juice. CC1 was created by a Koronian scientist who fled to the People's Republic right after the collapse of Suno. This scientist made this drug as a way to enhance a soldiers ability to fight. CC1 wakes you up, helps you focus, makes you stronger, and numbs pain. PRA soldiers are given a tablet before most major battles and it is still used to this day. CC1 is a legal and regulated drug in the People's Republic, sold only by the government as it is a difficult drug to make and its recipe is kept secret.
The New World with its massive trade boom opens up a massive sideline blackmarket that Korono and the People's Republic decide to take advantage of. The PRA produces massive numbers of cheap, lower quality, and less reliable RAR-1's (called RAR-0's by the creators for it being a lower quality weapon) The People's Republic ups the production of CC1 at the same time. Than massive shipments of RAR-1's and CC1 are sent to Korono. Koronian smugglers abuse the massive trade network of the ICF and ship the weapons and drugs to any nation not part of the NWLA (NWLA governments can buy supplies directly from the PRA if they want it).
Gangsters, revolutionaries, mafias, terrorists, and pirates start to spring up in many nations. Fueled by better weapons and a new drug market these members of society spread like wild fire. Police are fighting mobsters with pistols and semi auto rifles while they get gunned down by automatic assault rifles. Nations point fingers at the People's Republic. Chancellor Christo does what a politician does best though, he talks around it, blames others, makes excuses, and brushes off accusations with no evidence. While PRA and Koronian agents destroy or divert any evidence trails that begin to form.
This Crisis is known as the CC1 Epidemic and it plagues many nations for a few years before it begins to calm down. Violence levels are much greater than before the epidemic but no where near the peak of the Crisis.
The Crian Alliance further aggravated by these actions begin to ready another massive fleet and one of their experimental weapons.
After CC finds its way into the Polslavian Trade Markets, it is banned almost as fast as it came; being seen has a harmful drug and a pest in the trade markets. Soon after, Polslavian Research Facilities discover the counter to it; a tablet the same size that is not only the best bet in killing an addiction to CC, it also isn't even addictive. It is nearly impossible for one to get addicted to it, unless they are gulping down bucket loads of them. Which in that case, who on earth does that? Anyways, the CC1 Epidemic sours relations with the PRA even more so; making the Polslavians enforce the border with the PRA with even more strict policies. Many refugees escaping the CC1 epidemic from the PRA flee to Polslavia, and soon see to moving to Odessa to flourish the second piece of Polslavia. Within a year, the small island is turned into the double head of Polslavia.
Crian supply ships and trading routes go through here like steps on a busy street. This makes the illegal trading with the PRA seem pointless from having almost double coming from the Crian Empire. This makes tensions weaken even more, making the once prosperous Golden Age feel like a distant dream.
The CC1 epidemic never hit the People's Republic, being a legal drug that was long in use the illegal underworld had little business in it. No crime spike hit the nation, why would it? (The local gangster isn't going to buy a beer from the store and try to sell it to you.) Addiction was common but not exactly negative. Increased production from farms and factories were quite welcome. Tolerance from the drug stabilized and made it a "pill for the working citizen" or also known as "The Motherlands Coffee" if the pill was added to a drink. Commander Ruskov was known to take 2 tablets of CC1 a day and he encouraged his soldiers and agents to use it. Former Commander Piglet and former Chancellor Viktor were known to take up to 5 tablets a day during the peak of the "Grand war". Piglet and Viktor once stayed up for 93 hours planning and leading the nation during its violent and bloody uprising thanks to CC1. CC1 was just another legal drug for the People's Republic, many were shocked at how much it rattled some of the world.
During the CC1 Epidemic The People's Republic gladly took refugees and addicts from other lands. They treated and resettled them in some of the largely unsettled rural territory. The nation had much territory and new citizens would have a place somewhere in it. The People's Republic suffered little from the epidemic and continued to export the drug and weapons as long as Koronian smugglers kept buying it. Koronians abused the massive shipping industry of the ICF and always found the smallest nooks and crannies to slip supplies in. PRA and Koronian agents would clean up during the few occasions things didn't work out.
In other nations CC1 could be quite negative since it was usually an illegal drug and there was no stable supply. People would start to suffer severe withdrawals after about a week without it. Drug lords and gangsters in other nations began to cut CC1 with narcotics and other drugs. This made it addictive even if CC addiction medicine was taken as the narcotic wouldn't be effected.
Being traded by smugglers the drug wouldn't see standard trade markets in any nation. Except in places like the People's Republic and Korono where the drug is encouraged and openly sold with a government label. Ensuring a safe and pure product unlike the CC1 sold in other nations on the black market.
In hindsight historians largely agree that the CC1 Epidemic was less caused by CC1 and more caused by an incredible increase of black market weapons and the increased ability for gangs to sell CC1, moonshine, and narcotics.
I am very confused. I believed that this thread was for all stories of all kinds, but it looks to me that this is just one big story driven by everyone. It is entirely not what I was expecting?
@Pompeii yes it pretty much is one big story going on right now. I could incorporate your nation into the map if you want.
There's a map for this? O.o
Well, the thing is that my empire would not be very in sync with any world, really- except its default one. My empire is a fairly big one and it's the largest and the most powerful in its world. I don't think that that would work in such a community as this- so sorry.
Modify it than! Make a new one! Being the biggest and strongest is boring anyways, where is the story in that? I love flawed empires and nations, makes alliances necessary and prevents 1 nation from steamrolling the world.
Man, I thought I was the only one who drew maps. Great to see other people doing it too!
@fatpiglet The point of the Third Azrean Empire is that it has learnt from its two predecessors, which both failed.
and.....? A nation that has reformed 3 times doesn't determine its size or success. The People's Republic is a reformed nation but it is riddled with flaws! It learned from its predecessor that failed just like yours! If you don't want to get involved that's fine. Doesn't take much creativity to jump in.
want to get involved in the story?
My nation certainly isn't a nice place to live, and it's strength is questionable at best, but that's what makes for an interesting story!
Ok I really do not think you understand. It is my world and if I wish for it to be the strongest then it will be the strongest. Do not pretend that a strongest nation does not exist in any world, because there have been several strongest nations in the history of our world and I see no reason for there not to be one in mine. You made the assumption that my empire was perfect. It is not, but it is the strongest in the world that I created. Thank you.
Er, the idea is that were all contributing to a single large world...
Yes, but I believe that each person has created their own world in Airships by creating their fleet and heraldry, but here they are merely adding onto another's. I have taken down my piece as it does not contribute to the "larger world"
Fair enough then...
I'll have to think about it cause I'm on vacation, sounds like a good idea.
After the CC1 Epidemic, the Polslavian Government strikes a deal with the Crians; they can trade with them at the main continent once more, but only by sea. This is gladly accepted by the Crian Empire, now able to access even more of the Polslavian market.Although the Crians cannot base warships in Polslavia, they are still allowed sanctuary in Odessa. The main driving point to this is the Polslavians wanting a larger market to spread across, like the roots of a plant in both worlds. The Crians offer up warships and cannons for Polslavian riches and delicacies by the tons, and to buy Polslavia Soldiv-II robots that the Polslavians had kept secret. Although the ICF and PRA don't exactly support them, nothing goes wrong, so far.
@Pompeii fair enough my man, no reason to get upset. I'm not trying to undermine your world, I'm just saying you can get involved too.
We aren't merely adding onto other stories, we are creating a combined world with multiple inputs. Which is cool, keeps things interesting and keeps nations in check. Just a fun way to tell a story as a community :)
The People's Republic is outraged at Polslavia attempting to open trade routes from their homeland island to The Crian Alliance once again. Commander Ruskov commands the airfleets to mobilize on the border once again. Partial alert is called and many coastal city militias are given ammunition and called to action. The PRA fleet mobilizes, Commander Ruskov is exhausted with Polslavia and is determined to do something about it this time. Chancellor Christo fails at calming the people and the military and has to stand on the sidelines.
PRA ships swarm along the border and the majority of the gigantic 1st fleet is assembled. General Ruskov waits for dawn to attack, when the light of the sun will be facing into his opponents eyes.
The Polslavian Military is also called into full action, assembling and preparing everywhere. This time the PRA doesn't seem intent on mere border skirmishes. Meanwhile a Crian Agent in Polslavia radios intel back to the homeland. She informs the Crians of the pending PRA assault. Crian officials and generals meet and they decide to mobilize the majority of their offensive ships and activate project Thor
Project Thor has long been worked on by the Crians. With the results of the Sojourner and its accidental space flight scientists have looked towards other ways of warfare. Lots of research, testing, and calculations have created project Thor. Never tested in warfare they waited until an optimal time to strike against their rival, The People's Republic.
The project was named Thor and the weapon itself was know as IKB (Intercontinental Kinetic Bombardment) referred to more commonly by the few who knew about it as the "rods of god". This weapon utilized gravity and the high atmosphere of the planet. A massive rod of Tungsten about the size of a large bus would be floated/flown to the highest peaks of the atmosphere. Massive suspedium crystals would push it into lower orbit. A small crew of men were attached to the tungsten rod inside a primitive kind of spaceship. Most of these men operated targeting computers that would help guide the rod to its target after it was released from the station. Another 2 men would pilot a rocket attached to the rod to increase its speed and assist targeting. The rocket would detach after a minute and the rod would impact its target in 4-5 minutes afterwards. The scientists were confident in their weapon, accuracy was an issue but the People's Republic was big. Hitting a city was ideal, but a hit anywhere would cause severe damage regardless.
The Crian scientists were right in their confidence. The weapon's damage and accuracy exceeded expectations. 5/6 rods landed on target (the 6th hit a mountain causing little important damage). Kinetic Bombardment wiki
The People's Republic was hit early morning by an unknown weapon from a unconfirmed nation. The capital was mostly destroyed, a near direct hit destroyed some of the city in a crater. A shockwave of debris and heat destroyed most of what was left. Former Chancellor Mica was killed during the attack along with hundreds of government officials and PRA Officers. 2 military bases were also hit along with 2 coastal port cities. The results were the same, massive destruction and casualties. The 1st fleet was reduced to half its previous size and the Nation was struggling to understand what was happening.
Chancellor Christo woke up to his nation in chaos. He got a briefing, took a CC tablet, and got onto the radio. Christo gave a speech to the nation, rallying them, informing them, and preparing them. He knew more was to follow. Commander Ruskov ordered the 2nd fleet to reinforce the first. News of the Crian Fleet preparing to cross the ocean reached him. He had no plans of fighting a war in the Motherland. He mobilized what he could of his fleet in the next 24 hours and flew out to meet the Crian Armada.
PRA agents managed to sabotage several large Crian warships before they took flight. Bombings of public buildings and military bases followed, acting as a sort of very small revenge. Their efforts helped inspire hope into PRA soldiers and the loss of a few ships may have turned the battle to follow.
The Battle of the burning seas happened 3 days after the "Rods of god" devastated the People's Republic. PRA forces and Crian forces clashed in the early morning and the battle lasted until dusk. Massive airships and gunboats fought against small bombers and boarding ships. It was the single bloodiest battle of the modern world, with over two hundred thousand losses. The sea was covered in burning oil and destroyed ships. Desolation stretched for kilometers in every direction. Neither fleet claimed victory that day. Two crippled fleets spend the night rescuing the wounded and gathering the dead, they both fly towards home before dawn.
The People's Republic enters another period of martial law as it tries to rebuild and stabilize itself. The Crian Alliance begins to rebuild its fleet and calm its people after such a horrific battle.
The ICF is once again handed more power in control of the New World. With the People's Republic in repair and The Crian Alliance occupied they have the opportunity to manipulate the world in multiple directions.
Wait. I might consider joining- but I need to know for certain to what extent of power can my nation go. As I said, there are basically 3 versions of my empire. Depending on the world this takes place in, I can adjust one of them to match.
Your nation needs to find an appropriate spot in this map, it could replace Cronica if you wanted. Power wise your nation can be strong and wealthy but within reason, try to balance it out with other nations. Allies are important, a lot of the world is locked in alliances so attacking without an alliance would be difficult. Compromise with other players and let each nation rock its strengths.
Mostly though just be cool and have fun.
*Overall powerwise you can be stronger than the People's Republic(my nation) in many aspects if you want. Just be below The Crian Empire military wise, the ICF economically wise and everything else will hopefully balance out. That's just if you want to make your nation a tier 1 superpower though.
Military power ratings
1-The Crian Alliance
2-The Crian Empire
5-The People's Republic Army
Ok... I will use the Third one. Is the rest of the continent south of the Crian Alliance okay?
What's the name of your nation again? I will modify the map and than see if it's cool with you
The Third Azrean Empire. It'll be a tier-1 superpower, as you put it.
And, may I know the level of technology of this world? The Third Empire made the first dreadnought blueprints in my world, but other than that the Empire has ships for every era of technology.
Updated with The Third Azrean Empire and Polslavia old world island city. *Subject to editing
Tech levels are a bit ahead of current airships maybe 1 to 2 decades. Lots of experimental weapons.
Now we need to make an excuse for the new nation? They don't just appear like that.
I'm not sure how the periods between the 2nd and 3rd empire went but perhaps the 3rd empire just emerged recently, undergoing its revolution, civil war, uprising, reconstruction, or whatever process it went through to become what it is now.
Can I have the empire strength rankings?
I remember Shadiness, Military, and Economy
Here is the overall ranking.
Overall Power ranking-
Cronica belongs in one of the unnamed slots but they are an isolationist nation who trade and communicate very little. Not enough information is known to give them a concrete ranking. They are certainly strong though, not to be underestimated.
They are a player? Or an npc?
And I assume there are multiple smaller nations inhabitating the land that is not part of a major empire?
Cronica was a player made nation, but we had a disagreement and he left. He had a steamroller nation that no one could fight against. The Crian Empire was also player made nation but I just took the name. The player who made it never got involved in this story.
The empty spaces are left open for other players to occupy. You can assume there are medium and small nations in all of those areas. Most likely in alliances and not easy pickings.
After the Battle of The Burning Seas, the PRA is thrown into a rebuild of the government similar to the Post-Suno revolt. The Polslavians, now seeing a chance to strike at their enemy that threatened end the prosperous trading hub, to close the trading routes and loomed over them for so long, decide to fund several revolts around the nation's border with Polslavia. These countries, although each about as big as Polslavia each, completely dot the coastline with the PRA, a long waited barrier to stop the PRA from meddling with Polslavia's trading. These nations, after the time taken for the PRA to reorganize, are already powerful enough to staunch the PRA's damaged forces. During this time, the PRA allows the Polslavians to trade with the PRA. Resources are shipped by the millions each year, with the PRA taking in the supplies and power to rebuild. The Crians hit the PRA several more times with the Thor Kinetic Gun, about 7 times. This annihilates several PRA major military bases, crippling any chance the PRA has to defend itself. The Crians, PRA, and Polslavians, along with the tiny nations dotting the border with Polslavia, meet up in the capital city of Polslavia; Ubekstav. The PRA signs a treaty with the Polslavians, Crians, and newly founded New World Republics (formed of Oneskia, in the bottom of the Coastal border, Westalin, the middle nation of the coastal border, and Ileniv Marax, the nation on the upper half of the coastal border.) To not attack the nations under the treaty in order to maintain their nation, and the other listed nations rebuild the PRA. All of them accept this, and the PRA is rebuilt quickly. With the Capital remade into a more modern city, the military outposts restocked and supplied. The PRA gets new ships to replace the ones lost, and soon are pulled back up on their feet by the nations. This, albeit humiliating for the PRA's military to accept, rebuilds the nation in less than a year. Then, it's back to before the war; the Polslavians keep trading with the Crians, but now with the New World Republics to provide a barrier between the PRA and Polslavia. The Polslavians also build new anti-kinetic weapons, massive tesla towers that disintegrate the rods mid-air, and can focus on multiple targets at once. Who knows what's next...
lol, lost control of my nation :p
If anything The People's Republic would be mostly influenced by whatever action the ICF(Respawn) and the rest of the NWLA takes after the "rods of god" attack.
The 400+ million armed militia would make any attempts at a new state incredibly bloody. Millions of poorly trained fighters slugging it out guerrilla style.
Maybe have the new nations be guerilla forces that abandoned the PRA after the "Rods of God" hit. Would make sense, since then they could leave the PRA and reform under a new banner.
Korono was never truly involved in the war. It deemed a even single battle with the polslavians a much too costly endeavor to be worthy of consideration. of note though, was that during the conflict they did aid in the discovery of the kinetic bombardment cannon's exact location. To be put on the simplest of terms, if there was anyone who could breach or infiltrate all the strongholds that of which the information was held, it would most likely be Korono. Even then, not an easy task as the weapon was in such a secretive state that the most they could find about it at once was the individual coordinates. Eventually though, after many raid and hijackings, much blood and tears, the koronians agents did repossess the final piece of the puzzle and a mission was prepared to destroy the superweapon. (They same day the battle of the burning seas took place actually). The specter was even refitted with experimental technology and redesigned. It was thrown through rigorous testing to go on this one operation alone.
The guerrilla forces would be loyalists and revolutionaries. The PRA could keep sending endless waves of loyalists wherever they saw fit. With such a massive population and rifle surplus any fight on The People's Republic soil would be anything but quick and easy. As well as the secret police and agents who the PRA are so infamously known for.
Korono and The ICF as a whole have a decision to make regarding resources and what actions to do with The People's Republic right after the battle of the burning seas. Whether to help, hinder, or stay neutral.
The discovery of the Kinetic Orbital Station is a potentially massive hit to The Crian Alliance arsenal if Korono can take it out. Since it is a weapon that once fired is almost impossible to counter. A rod of Tungsten flying at a few kilometers a second is damn difficult to prevent!
The Guerrilla forces would be supported by Polslavian Units, with the newer Soldiv-III and several airships. The Soldiv-III, although not immortal, is kinda like a KV-1, but heaps faster and better armed. With the position the PRA is in at the moment of the revolts, they don't have the power to relocate the amount of firepower to overall staunch the revolutions at the time. The Soldiv-III would easily be able to halt the crippled PRA units, and the airships would be plentiful enough to be on par with the PRA units. Most of the soldiers at the border line would have been commanders and people that had grown tired of the Polslavian Trade Market growing out of reach, and, with Polslavian support, could have liberated cities and form nations by the coastline. The coastline nations are along the bay that Polslavia is near.
Prince Alex Faustus of the Third Azrean Empire stood in the run-down Annu Cruiser named "Gustav," watching with intrigued eyes through the telescope at the great battle many miles away from them. The Gustav was firmly planted onto one of the tiny islands dotting the ocean, but it was big enough for one Cruiser to land on. The Princess and the General stood next to him, with uncomfortable looks on their faces.
"Alex," Princess Diana said. "It's not fair you get to be the only one to see. Let me see!"
The General was about to scold the Princess for disrespecting a member of the royal family, but he quickly drew his hand back when he realized that Diana, though not social much, was also a member of the Faustus family and the scolding would probably get his head cut off. He coughed and replied, "My greatest apologies. This ship has only a single telescope. Next time, you can but give me the word and I shall arrange for one with two, or even three if you wish.
Princess Diana shot him a dirty look as Alex began to back away from the telescope. "Those are some big ships over there," was all he said.
Diana gave a joyful yelp and rushed to the telescope. She retreated almost immediately. "Nevermind," she said with a disgusted look on her face. "Alex, you can have it."
As he returned to the telescope, the Princess whispered to the general, "I've never seen so much blood before in my life." The general merely stroked his beard. "Aye," he said. "Whichever side emerges victorious, it shall seem like a loss to them both."
And this is how Prince Alex Faustus of the Third Azrean Empire, Princess Diana Faustus of the Third Azrean Empire, and General Hamilton Deragge of the Third Azrean Empire bore witness to the Battle of the Burning Seas aboard the Annu Cruiser named The Gustav.
The Gustav witnessing the battle of the burning seas was fairly significant. It was the only neutral ship to witness the battle and they had a full view of the event. The intel gained from this observation would be quite valuable in further development of its fleet. Seeing two large potential rivals fight and the results afterwards gave valuable information on how to prepare to combat either of the two nations if it came to it. Also the stories published by The Gustav were credited to be the most accurate as they were from a neutral party and not manipulated into propaganda like the Crian and PRA stories.
Regarding the PRA during the "Great Rebuild"
The coast couldn't be taken in under a year. It doesn't matter how good Polslavian weapons are, PRA resistance fighters know that land 100x better than any Polslavian. The amount of spies and agents in the Polslavian guerrilla forces would be massive.
The USA invaded Iraq. Best military in the world never able to completely wipe out some guys with TNT and AK's. The PRA is much more than some guys with AK's and Polslavian military isn't the USA. Even without a single PRA airship Polslavia would never take the coast in under a year.
The Coastline would be a massive warzone. Suicide trucks and hovercraft would plague anywhere Polslavian forces marched. A man could fire a burst from his RAR-1 and than disappear into a crowd. Traitor soldiers would have their houses bombed and their families killed. Ice mortars would launch rounds at Polslavian bases, never knowing who fired it. Polslavians are invaders and the People's Republic citizens are fighters. Even if %90 of the population was okay with the occupation the remaining %10 would raise hell.
The fastest ship in the Imperial Air Navy took two days to fly to the New World. The Gustav had took 3. With the constant threat of their potential enemies to the north, the Empire was left to two desisions: either to launch a full offensive on the Crians or all with the similar weaker Republic. Prime Minister Hector sat with the General at a large round table, discussing this matter. Midway in their speak, the doors were flung open and the King of Azrea strode in, billowing red capes behind him. The two officials sprung up from their chairs and saluted him. In return, the king waved them off. In his hand was a camera. All three of them sat down, until the King finally spoke. "Do you know what is in this camera," he asked them.
The General nodded and said, "it should be a recording of the Battle of the Burning Seas, milord."
The King laughed and shook his head. "When I sit down and I look at this recording, I see no battle. I am sure you have been discussing what to do about these "rods of god" that bombed the Republican Capital. We will extend our aid to the PRA. Or the Crians. And after that, we will launch an offensive on whatever side we are not allied with."
The General nodded.
"And also, send word to the smaller nations to the east. Ask them if they want none of the Crians, and bases on that we might attack our northener "friends."
With three salutes, the King left the table. The General and Prime Minister looked at each other.
The next day, the Gustav was once again prepared for flight. The ship was famous now for it's viewing of the Burning Seas. With it, went the Imperial Flagship, the Annie Valor, and three Gloria-21 Dreadnoughts. Their destination?
The People's Republic.
*this is the empire's way of getting an alliance. They show off their big guns and hopefully the other guys accept. The Gustav will arrive first, followrd by the other ships five days later.
Perhaps you could attempt to join the NWLA? Operation: Firestorm is coming soon and the isles need all the allies they can get.
Im not in the new world. Im south of Crian
The Azrean Military had a difficult decision to make where it struck. Neither side of this conflict had good relations with the previous 2nd Azrean Empire. The People's Republic conquered the Azrean colony in the New World. The People's Republic also had poor diplomatic relations due to all the spying and sabotaging that are infamously known for. The Crian Alliance had attacked and skirmished multiple times with The Azrean Empire in previous conflicts, causing widespread damage. The PRA while weaker was across a large ocean, the crossing would be difficult, especially for large ships. Landships would be difficult to transport until they had a stable foward operating base. On the other hand the Crian Alliance was the strongest military in the world, although weakened at the time and not expecting an attack they certainly would be a difficult foe to combat.
As the Gustav neared the People's Republic coastline it was swarmed by about a dozen small ships. A cluster of bombers and boarders flew near the ship. Upon seeing the flag and not being shot at most of the ships flew away within a minute. One boarding ship flew up next to the Gustav. A PRA marine dropped his weapons and than proceeded to run and jump the 5 meter gap between the ships. Barely grasping the side of a balcony he pulled himself onto the ship. With the language barrier it took a couple minutes of hand gestures for both sides to understand the others purpose. The Marine gestured for Gustav to follow the small boarding ship.
The Gustav was guided further south and eventually a little inland. A small military base with a large landing field was being cleared for the Gustav. The flags flying from the base included every nation of the NWLA. Uniforms of the ground crew were identical except for the shoulder patches that showed their national origin.
The Gustav landed and was greeted by fifty ground crew with a orderly salute. A PRA officer shook hands with the Gustav captain. It took a few minutes for both sides to match up two people who spoke the same language. With translators successfully communicating The PRA officer led the Gustav Captain and his escort towards a large plain military building. He led them to a large lightly decorated room. With lots of seats and a podium in front. The captain and his escort were seated and about 40 other individuals entered shortly after. Diplomats, officers, and government officials from every NWLA nation entered the room. Greetings and polite words were briefly exchanged. Soon though the talk got more serious, the officials wanted to know, "What is the purpose of your visit?"
The PRA officials seem eager for any new ally but the rest of the NWLA officials are more skeptical. They bicker and argue like politicians do. A senior Koronian diplomat, well respected and admired by most NWLA officials, gets to take the podium and address the crowd.
"Welcome to the Republic," the diplomat says. The group of twenty or so Azreans huddled together at a plain table listened intently to their translator. "What is the purpose of your visit?" The translator whispered to a nervous crew member, then the next, then the next. Soon, a stoic-looking elderly man stood up. He spoke heavily accented, but he could get the point across. "On behalf of King Leonardo Faustus of the Third Azrean Empire, I and my crew come on the Gustav to request a treaty against the Crian Alliance."
Surprised murmurs echoed throughout the crowd, and finally the Koronian diplopat silenced them with a wave of his hand. "And what can you offer?"
"Surely you understand the importance of a foreign ally. An alliance with a nation of the Motherland will allow you so much more opportunities." Murmurs went through the crowd, and all parties jotted down notes. After around thirty minutes of waiting it was clear that the NWLA was hesitant to accept, the elderly Azrean man backed down and the translator took his place. "Excuse us. Major General Terry is growing impatient. Are there any housing units that are free in this base? We can take shelter in the Gustav if need be." The Azreans begin to get ready to leave for the day.
"And also," the Major General called out behind him. "In but five day's time you will come to understand the true power of the Empire. Until then, I but can only beg you come to terms amongst yourselves."
Upon hearing that Junior Admiral Arius and a translator follow the General out the door. "I hope that was a joke or jest General, the PRA doesn't take threats gently. Otherwise both of us will face a dark future" He salutes the general and walks back to the meeting room.
Several housing units are offered to all of the Azrean sailors and multiple suites are offered to the Major General and other officers.
Diplomats argue in the meeting room. Senior Koronian Diplomat Loron calms the room and tells them about the next plan of action and what the NWLA must do for its survival.
A PRA scout flies towards the Azrean Fleet when it is two days away from The People's Republic coast. With a white flag flying and no weapons armed they fly in next to the flagship. Equipped with an officer who is an expert in language, he and a couple marines board the Azrean Flagship and request to speak with the Commanding Admiral. The request is sent up the ranks and the PRA officer tells a junior Azrean officer about their intentions. "We request that you and your ships fly to Sigun, the ICF nation below Korono. Further diplomacy can be discussed there if you wish. If you have other less pleasant intentions you better shoot us and blow our ship to the depths." The PRA officer rushes forward grabs the younger Azrean before he can react. The PRA officer places his revolver into the Azrean's hands and turns around and walks toward the flagship's railing. He lights a cigarette and looks out at the open ocean. "Your commander should make a decision soon. A man grows tired of waiting for his fate to be decided." He turns and looks the younger Azrean in the eyes, before turning back towards the ocean. The PRA officer quietly talks in his native language to his marine escort, who are also smoking and looking at the ocean. The young Azrean officer stands there with a loaded revolver in his hand, unsure of what to do in this moment.
"Give me that gun," Prince Alex told the young officer as he descended from a ladder. The officer nodded and hastily handed the gun to the prince, as if it relieved some burden of some kind. "You are dismissed," Prince Alex commanded when the revolver was safely in his hands. The Azrean scampered up the ladder and disappeared into the room above. Alex turned to the PRA duo, now looking expectantly at him.
"I am Prince Alex Faustus of the Third Azrean Empire. You will come with me if you wish to talk." He then turned and strode into room after room, not bothering to look back if they were actually following him or not. Once he reached the command room, he turned around to see the two. "Be warned. The Gustav is useless to us now, and it is possible for us to turn back. One mishap out of your mouth and you cannot expect us to be further polite."
The PRA Marine nodded. He wasn't used to be commanded by someone so young, and even though Alex was only in his early teens he radiated the aura of an extremely competent leader.
"Do you have any weapons on you?"
"Just that revolver I gave the officer, sir."
"Good." And with that, Alex pushed open the door and went inside the command room, where some of the most important people in the Empire sat.
"I'll have the both of you know I have two pistols and they're both loaded, and I shan't hesitate to plant holes in your chest if you insult me," Princess Diana said immediately at their entry. Alex chuckled softly and patted her on the head. "Now, now, Diana. What would father say if you killed our change at an alliance?"
Diana looked away.
The General stood up and shook hands with the PRA officer. "I am General Hamilton Derrage of the Air Force of the Empire. You?"
"My name and rank is not important." The PRA officer looked around the room, and quickly spoke again. "I'm sorry. I'm not an important person in the PRA."
"Alright. Shall we have a seat? I request that your guard waits outside- unless he is here for diplomatic matters?"
"No, no, I'll leave," said the marine. He left the room, and the iron door shut behind him.
The Officer now felt extremely uncomfortable. Even though these people spoke his language, he could not help but feel out of place.
"Now, let us get down to business," Diana told him. "Seven minutes ago someone quite irrelevant came up while I was eating my lunch, disturbing me greatly, and told us that you want us to go to... what was the name again? Gisun? Sinug?"
"Sigun, your highness."
"Oh yes. Sigun. Knew that. So, why do you people want us there? We were under the impression that the Gustav landed in the PRA, not some ICF island."
"It did, you highness. I was merely told by my superiors that an Imperial Fleet was heading to the PRA and to tell the command to go to Sigun. Nothing more, nothing less."
"You expect me to go there without proper reason?" asked Prince Alex. "For all we know, it might as well be a trap. What if we go there, and there is a NWLA fleet waiting there. With all of it's guns on. The Empire is strong, but this is a fleet of mainly Dreadnoughts. We would be absolutely destroyed."
"It is not a trap, your highness. I know the Republic well, and it is in need of an powerful ally now more than ever."
In a hushed tone, the General leaned forward. "It would be best if we knew the reason," he told him. "It would help settle our restlessness."
"I will attempt to speak with my higher ranks. Until then, would you please refrain from attacking?"
"Aye," the General answered. That seemed to settle the conversation, because everyone filed out. The princess shot the officer a glare before she left. Only the General and the PRA Officer remained. The General had a genuinely apologetic look on his face.
"I apologize for my superior's actions. They are young and inexperienced, and this is only their second time out of home, and being tasked with such an important order really puts alot of weight onto their backs. I hope you can find it in yourself to forgive them."
"No, no, it is fine. I remember my first diplomatic mission, I was equally nervous."
The General smiled and saluted before he left the room with the Prince and Princess. The marine was let back in and three guards escorted the pair back to their ship. "The Prince told us to let your ship dock in the hangar. It's only a few ladders off the ship, but it shall have to do."
They found their ship, and in the first room a new, polished revolver lay in the place of the rusty one they had given the Azrean Officer.
The PRA officer boarded his ship along with his escort. As the ship disconnected and prepared to leave the officer passed a letter to the Junior Officer he had his previous exchange with. Didn't say a word just passed the letter and than the ship flew back towards the People's Republic.
The front of the letter was written on hastily, it said "For the General and Royal Family"
The letter inside was neatly type and looked very professional.
"To the Commander of the Azrean fleet,
I assume if you got this letter than we are not on hostile terms. I requested my officer to deliver a simple message and this letter would follow if they left unharmed. The People's Republic wishes for you to go to Sigun to do further diplomacy. Sigun is the head of the ICF and almost all diplomacy and disputes with the NWLA are negotiated in their nation. If The 3rd Azrean Empire wants to communicate its message to the NWLA as a whole than Sigun would be the best place to do it. Many senior diplomats and senators are there and they are authorized to sign treaties and establish alliances. You will need to convince those stubborn old senators and diplomats if you want to make these negotiations go quickly.
The People's Republic is large and with the capital mostly destroyed the government is in no situation to properly negotiate. Crian agents are still crawling in our territory and I am afraid they would target you in hopes of provoking a war. So I ask you to go to Sigun, it's the safest option for both of our nations. A small NWLA escort will meet you when you are a days flight away. I have placed Captain Melissa Miller in that escort. Request her and she can answer many of your questions.
Senior Agent, Major Ivena Uskova (Stamped with high ranking official seal)
P.S. Please burn or safely store this letter after all necessary parties read it. It could create some unpleasant circumstances for me if it gets into the wrong hands."
A day later, the officers at Sigun received a letter with a crimson and black emblem emblazed on the cream paper. In it, written in very fancy script to the point it was hard to read, said,
"We accept your terms, but the Gustav must go to Sigun first and report back to us before we even move an inch from our temporary island base. Is this acceptable?
Do not worry about the Crians. We have measures against them, but those are top-secret and will not be revealed to anyone in the New World- not yet. I look forward to our meeting,
Prince Alex Faustus."
When Polslavia opened up trade interest to the Azrean Empire, both sides were somewhat twitchy at first. Polslavia, a tiny nation boasting a small bunch of armored shock robots and a handful of airships, seemed like a mere island nation. However, what they lacked in military might they made up for in extreme wealth; any ships coming in and out of the New World stop at Polslavia. The perfect place to trade massive amounts of goods, repair ships, even ask for new ships to be built. A nation's dream of supplies, ranging from delicacies from other nations, to silks and majestic materials, to metals and fuel to power entire navies, to entire warships to buy and sell by the dozen, along with the perfect area to base spies. The Polslavian Government has a spy embassy, allowing spies from all nations to base their, as long as no spy business goes on against Polslavia. Polslavia saw The Azrean Empire as a new ally, another place to plant it's vast and prosperous trade routes into. So, the Polslavian Government sends over a letter transported by the Aero-destroyer Odessa, named after the island city of Odessa. A few curious ships fly by the tiny low-flying ship, even having a small sailboat pass by the side. They soon land in the Azrean Capital, and have a High Soviet General, along with a Soldiv-IV (a human-sized war robot, boasting two gatling guns and a few rockets by the side, with bullet proof armor) walk into the capital building (I assume it's a palace, because aristocrats n' stuff) and hand over a letter requesting a peace conference in Polslavia with the leaders of the Azrean Empire, and it is accepted. They then fly back to Polslavia, and set up for said conference.
Recalling the revolting nations, Polslavia decides not to fund the high-ranking PRA generals that want the revolts to happen, knowing the PRA has much better power over the land. Instead, they send supplies over to the PRA to help them rebuild, and request that the Spy Embassy calls back the Crian spies to stop the sabotage. Soon, Crian sabotage rates in the PRA drop significantly. They also rebuild the Open Palms zone, allowing no warships of any type (PRA, Azrean, Crian, Koronian, or anybody else's warships) to stay in the Open Palms Zone for more than 24 hours, depending on the situation. This makes the tensions on the trade routes lower, and forces around the borders diminish by a large fraction. Soon, tensions between the PRA are lowered to where the PRA doesn't have a few armies on the border. The trade ban on Polslavian riches are lifted, and the trade routes flow once more into the PRA.
Soon, Polslavia developes the first Suspendium Missile; a large rocket using a massive suspendium core and many very powerful thrusters. In it, is a 10,000 lb warhead of explosives, enough to blow the Thor apart, or to shake a city. It is soon produced in mass numbers in various types; EMG (Explosive Missile, Guided) PMG (Plague Missile, Guided) and TMG (Transport Missile, Guided) The EMG and PMG both carry potent warheads, one capable of straddling a city and another capable of wiping out an entire nation within a few days. The PMG is only a concept, and is disregarded as it is deemed too inhuman. The TMG has four Soldiv-IV robots inside, each immune to PRA and Crian small arms, such as the RAR-I.
Whoa there powerplay much?
Nup, just Polslavia.
A massive powerplay for such a small nation.
Luckily for the Crian Alliance a Thor projectile is about 100x cheaper than a suspendium missle.
The People's Republic resumes trade with Polslavia, although only about 3% of its total trade is directed to the nation, mostly from coastal cities nearby. 92% of the trade goes to the ICF, being the trade capital of the world and giving the People's Republic incredibly cost efficient trading. With the ICF leading the NWLA and being smack center in the middle of most major trading routes between the Old and New World it makes them into one of the most wealthy and powerful nations in the world.
Sigun is the largest and wealthiest island of the ICF. Being the closest to the Old World and having massive suspedium mines set them up to become a massive trade machine from its very beginning. Now they have some of the largest trade ports in the world and a merchant fleet that rivals even the Crian Empire. Diplomats, politicians, and business leaders frequently travel Sigun for both business and pleasure. It is a huge tourist destination offering the finest goods, foods, and services available. They also offer many "Koronian" services but those are much more hush hush.
Sigun's leader Queen Rayne receives the letter from Prince Alex Faustus soon after it is sent to Sigun. Queen Rayne recalls the Azrean Empire during her studies. Trade has been light and inconsistent in the last few years, ever since the downfall of the 2nd Azrean Empire. She tells an aide to immediately prepare a merchant corvette; a fast light luxury ship that can carry luxury goods and people between the old and new world in a day and a half. Reserved for only the wealthiest of people and the most exotic cargo. Queen Rayne tells the aide to load the merchant corvette with a sample of many luxury items, ranging from jewelry to silk to furs. She orders to send a high ranking diplomat to give the ship and cargo as a gift to the Azrean Empire. Than to discuss the future of trade and relations between both nations. As a last minute thought she also orders an Exotic Nimbus chef to go along, an expert in new and old world cuisine. He is loved by the local nobility and the Queen figured he would help set a good impression.
Queen Rayne got back to the urgent letter. With a line of aides nearby she begans issuing tasks for each of them to complete. First give the Gustav permission to come to Sigun. Second send a unit of the Queen's royal guard to escort the Gustav in. Third make preparations for a royal family and military officials to visit. Fourth assemble high level diplomats and senators and prepare everyone for discussion and negotiations.
Queen Rayne decides that New Gloria will be the city that everyone will assemble in. A large, beautiful, cultural, and colorful city it is one of the most appealing places for wealthy tourists to visit. The military is thinned out and blended in. The Queen wants there to be some noticeable military presence but not enough to be intimidating. She tells the generals as such and they do their best to ensure the Queen will not be disappointed. Many Sigun military ships fly into small mountain outposts nearby to clear space on the New Gloria runway.
Now the Queen sits back and relaxes for a minute. She must wait on the Gustav's arrival and than meet the Azrean envoy afterwards. Than she must gather the diplomats and senators and convince them to stop bickering for a moment and to settle on a deal. Even as a Queen her power is limited, she needs the Senators to establish new trade deals and alliances. Many Senators fail to see the bigger picture, some only care about money and votes. She often times grows tired of their endless bickering but she knows that it is a necessary piece of the NWLA and she must work with it the best she can. Queen Rayne sits back up and gets back to the stack of papers on her desk. There is plenty of work to do and once the Gustav is here she will have even less time.
Major General Terry is in a Suite in the PRA base getting dressed. It is early morning and most of the base is still resting except for the sentries. He hears a knock on the door. He quickly puts his coat on and walks to the door, leaving his hat and holstered pistol on the dresser behind him. The General opens the door to a young PRA soldier maybe 16 years old or so. The Soldier salutes the general and holds out a envelope containing a letter. The outside says "For Major General Terry, from The Queen of Sigun and leading chancellor of the ICF"
The general quickly stuffs the letter into his coat and dismisses the soldier. As the soldier turns around a hooded man hiding behind a stationary airship about 30 meters away jumps out. Both the General and the soldier spot the man and freeze for a second. The hooded man within a couple seconds of jumping out of his cover shoulders a SPG and fires a rocket directly at the Major General.
The PRA soldier grabs the General throws him to the ground and jumps on top of him. A moment later the SPG rocket crashes into the General's suite and explodes. The explosion throws the General and PRA soldier away from the building, tumbling along the ground. The General looks up, lying on his back, blurry vision and ears ringing. He sees the young soldier in front of him. His back is ripped to shreds and filled with shrapnel. He lies dead and motionless. The General looks towards where the hooded man was. His vision clears and he sees the hooded man running towards where he lay, pistol in hand. Major General Terry grabs for his pistol, but it is inside his destroyed suite. He looks at the dead PRA soldier and sees his holstered pistol on his waist. With the rest of his strength he lunges for the pistol and rips it out of the holster. The hooded man sees this and starts shooting at General Terry. General Terry lying on the ground with pistol in hand rolls over in one smooth motion. Taking off the safety, aiming, and firing. General Terry fires a single shot, the hooded man's head snaps back and he collapses. Major General Terry sees the man fall, than his vision blurs, and he passes out.
The Major General wakes up in an airborne Gustav, bandaged and banged up but otherwise okay. His personal doctor informs him he is in fair shape and should be fully recovered within a couple weeks. A PRA Senior officer approaches the General and apologizes. "We should have been better prepared and set out extra sentries near the barracks. The People's Republic doesn't want harm to befall you or your people. I plead that you continue our previous negotiations." The officer takes a step back. Major General Terry, takes a moment to think about the situation. He than spots his damaged jacket hanging up nearby. Reaching into the pocket he pulls out the letter from Queen Rayne. He sits and reads the letter. Than he thinks, in a critical diplomatic position he must decide on the next course of action. One that may make or break an alliance.
Well then... Looks like my Polslavia is gonna die from the ICF's power over Polslavia in trading. Meh, it was fun while it lasted.
Aboard the Gustav on their trip to Sigun, the Major General Terry was protected by a dozen marines, day and night. Three extra escort ships went with the escort fleet to ensure that whatever group tried to kill the Major General would not succeed in felling the Gustav mid-flight. When they were approaching Sigun, Terry looked out his window. He squinted as if he thought he saw something, and then went up to use the telescope. When he returned, a smile covered his face. "The Annie and her fleet are parked some miles east of here. They made it!" he told one of his shipmates exitedly. Then his face went to a frown when he remembered the failed assasination attempt and how it would most likely ruin any peace talks.
When the Annie was safely docked at New Gloria, they were given a day's rest to recover from their long journey at sea, and also to give late diplomats to arrive. The meeting was planned to take place tomorrow, and everyone on the NWLA side were extremely nervous, as if the attacker was not Crian, then it would be suitable reason for war. And none of them could spare a war with the Empire.
Meanwhile, the Capital of the Third Azrean Empire, Azare, began flooding with the leaders of lesser nations east of the Empire. They came in small numbers first, but when word got out that some nations were meeting in Azare other countries began sending their people as well. It was already easily the largest gathering of leaders in the history of the Motherland, and the Dawnspyre's most elegant suites were not even half full yet. There were more people to be held, more people to be coaxed.
The King sat on his bronze throne, listening intently to the numerous senators and officers of lesser nations give him their greetings. He smiled to himself.
Let there be a banquet, he thought. For banquets often celebrate glorious things, and this one shall rejoice the most glorious of them all; the birth of the Iron Plains Confederation!
Well, now that I think of it, Polslavia isn't gonna die. Just didn't know what to respond with. So, I might as well continue. On I go!
The Crian Empire decides it needs to get rid of the Thor, but in a non-destructive way. The PRA and ICF have discovered the weapon, and it was only a matter of time before they could destroy it. The Polslavians, although not a permanent ally, were still someone the Crians took high respects to, since about 20% of the Crian Empire's suspendium came from the massive Artificial Suspendium Farms in Polslavia. The Crians decide to not only get rid of the Thor, but hand it over to Polslavia for a mighty price. Polslavia, although not massive, still has astronomical sums of currency in just the reserve alone. The Polslavian Government, Now seeing it as a weapon to defend the nation, quickly accept, and hand over almost all Suspendium Missiles, (7 out of 11) Soldiv-III Blueprints and almost 200 heavy naval guns of the Woztev Type. (This is a 550 mm gun that not only has a small breech and loading system for the size, low recoil, high armor penetration, and great accuracy, it's also very light.) To the Crians. Soon, in less than a week, Polslavia is given the mighty Thor gun. The Polslavians have to redesign it, though, so the enemies of the Crians don't take this opportunity to attack, if they do see it. The Polslavians also develop new counter measures for the system, to intercept either massive lightning guns, or missiles. For the lightning guns, a new kind of plating allows lightning and shells up to a caliber of 305 mm to ricochet off with no effect besides waking somebody up. The anti-rocket measures deploy several low-caliber anti-armor autcannons, with rounds designed to explode after penetrating to maximum of 190 mm of hardened steel. The new rods are redesigned with Negative Suspendium, an artificially created suspendium that is the opposite of, well, suspendium. It just makes thing go down, depending on where the bottom is. The rods have 6 Negative Suspendium cores on each. Soon, Polslavia finishes rebuilding the Thor, and renames it "Gorduma". It is adorned in an all-black camouflage, to help it blend in with space. Polslavia now has a new weapon with great potential, but under Polslavian law and nobility, it's a defensive weapon.
Suspendium works by pushing away from other suspendium, so anti-suspendium would draw it to anti-suspendium.
That is how the antie-original thing works irl
Im just waiting for piglet to respond. I kind of need to know if im allied with the PRA
Noice. So, one could Potentially make a death weapon of entirely Anti-Suspendium or put it in a meteor, and plant Anti-suspendium in where you want to hit, make some sort of trigger mechanism to make them activate if possible at the same moment, and give it a guidance system for fine adjustment.
seems legit, 100% not bias
I originally thought that Suspendium acts like some sort of system like lungs, breathing in and out. But in our case, exhuming lift, inhaling energy, or being activated by a steam boiler.
Zark told us how suspendium works so you should check that out.
By the way, what does your nation's language and building like? My nation's language is a mix between Polish and Russian, with a bit of English in between. Most people of the Nation know English, since it is used with traders, stores, armed forces and the like. The buildings are reminiscent of Roman of Russian, having large spires, palaces, churches, and pillars of stone.
You realize this is steampunk right?
The Empire's cities each have a "Bronzepyre," the Capital's being called the Dawnspyre. The tower resembles a tower made of bronze plates nailed against each other with gears sticking out everywhere. The Dawnspyre is built in a valley, and it is actually a giant tower with a split down the middle that serves a a hanger for the Air Navy. The city is build around the Bronzepyres, and each tower is equipped with a few anti-warhead missiles that can also counter the Thor's projectiles. At least, their simulations say so.
The Empire is based off off Germany during WWII, military-wise.
The people of the Empire are blonde, have tan skin, and the average person has a lean build.
Yes, I do know this is Steampunk-reminiscent. I think that Slavic-stuffs and steampunk go pretty good together. (I made a sketch a while back. Imagine one of the Kremlin's towers with a turret under the spire, heaps of armor, and four legs. That's what inspired me for Polslavia.) I added the Romans in building design because Polslavia puts lots of effort into the nation, finishing everything with efficiency and an elegant touch like the Romans and Slavs. The army is like that of a group with many names "Black Jackets, Black Death" or more commonly, the Soviet Naval Infantry. A full-black uniform (unless it's winter, then it's white covering a black undercoat) with a similar hat, but with the Polslavian Defender's Emblem on it instead of a Red Star. Usually with a satchel to carry equipment, and maybe a sash to carry grenades and such. The nation's armed forces are built around defense, so speed is usually not concerned in large weapons. The capital city is Chuztok, a massive city built in the middle of Polslavia. It is like Moscow, But with much more color and a few heavy defense guns here and their. Trading shops and bazaars dot the city, with several government and military buildings in the midden area. They are arranged in a square, and this area is called the "Honor Square", since nobles, heroes, kings, queens, the Prime Minister of Polslavia, and many other high-ranking officials go here, either to negotiate or to plan. They have 3 other cities, Uzbekan, a city in the southern region, Koztav, the main port city in which the Open Palms zone is at, and Odessa, which is actually not on the Polslavian continent, but is an Island City in the Old World. The name Odessa actually hails from a Ukrainian city, which during WWII, fought to a bitter and hard end, which I choose to honor.
Isn't it from the word odyssey?
No, I don't think so. I'm pretty sure it's named after nothing, just Odessa.
Oh, it had the same start as odyssey so...
Ugh the suspense is killing me who fired the missile at terryyyyy
Polslavia's military is based entirely on the thoughts of defending Polslavia. This makes fortress buildings and fortifications one of the highest priorities. They mount monstrous guns, ranging from 305 mm naval guns to absolutely humongous 700 mm cannons with extreme accuracy and damage potential. Machine guns are also very good; the most common is the BR-XA, or Breztavka Ronaya 10 Model A, which is a machine gun that can penetrate lightly armored machines, has an adjustable rate of fire (ranging from halted to 16 rounds per second), great accuracy, but is hefty. It is usually mounted as a coaxial gun on the Soldiv Robots or used for defense against small airships. It has two barrels, two large 1,000 ammo count drums, and can use two types of ammunition: Anti-Armor and High-Explosive. AA is for lightly armored targets to rip through, and HE is for small units and hordes of infantry. The Polslavians also have several defensive machines, the most popular being the Soldiv series. These are autonomously controlled robots that are commanded either by remote control, or set for an objective and to complete tasks to get to said objective. They can quickly solve problems that obstruct the task at hand, such as a pillbox in between them and, let's say, a few captured comrades, or maybe a disabled Soldiv. A Soldiv can repair another Soldiv of the same type if needed, but this is usually done by combat engineers and maybe a few soldiers. The mind is a specially designed computing device made up of three minds, much like a standard aiming computer, But instead of aiming, it guides the machine's stride, destroy targets, and go around obstacles. It technically has three minds: One to drive and technically "command", one to find targets and fire, one to formulate countermeasures to obstructions. It is basically a walking robotic tank, with a "crew", gun, aiming system, and engine. The engine is a Steam Core, which is a circular boiler that is like a standard combustion engine, but using steam. It has 4 pistons, with it arranged in a spiral to drive a crankshaft, and move the giant. It requires fuel to start, and uses the heat from the exhaust and weapons to heat the steam when it runs out of coal. It can run for 72 hours non-stop before needing more fuel or water. The naval forces of Polslavia are formed of 9 Battleships, 26 Cruisers, 31 Destroyers, 2 Aircraft Tenders, and 15 submarines. The battleships each have lots of armor and very big guns, usually arranged like a dreadnought. The most popular battleship, the Koztav class, has 8 turrets, each with a heavy duty 610 mm shell. They are very slow, however. It has two turrets on each side, with 2 turrets arranged in super firing systems on the bow and stern. The shells are absolutely devastating when they hit, usually tearing off chunks of bigger ships, or blowing a smaller ship sky high. They have accurate guns and targeting systems, usually with a 4/5 chance to hit from 20 km away. The armor is protected by lightning-resistance coating on riveted plates, which are attached to the very strong welded hull. The hull is very stable, too. It can take a beating from another Kostav's broadside and stay afloat. The crew comprises of 2,500 members at maximum capacity. Has many crew quarters, two mess halls, four kitchens, three bridges, (One to aim and fire, one to propel the ship and one to command. If need be, a bridge can take another's duty.) And a lot of munitions. The ship has a massive amount of AA guns, most comprising of the dual-purpose 105 mm gun. The air fleet is comprised of 5 Aeronoughts, 12 Cruisers, 25 Destroyers, 110 Heavy Gunships, and more than 2,000 aircraft and light airborne vehicles. The Polslavian armed forces, although not as big as major nations, is nothing to sneeze at.
Not to mention a recently bought Kinetic Weapon.
With that, Polslavia refrains from conflict if possible, kind of like Turkey during WWII. It remains the best link between the New and Old World, with the only Open Palms zone in the known world. The chances are if you are looking to buy something, it's in Polslavia, unless it's a doomsday weapon of sorts, or empires. Polslavia has practically no sabotage attempts, besides a burnt tree or something, Because of the Spy Embassy in Polslavia.
Now that I think about it... an artificial and new Suspendium could, potentially, help build better armor. If you make a suspendium armor that pulls itself together after a shell hit, then you could make near-indestructible armor. If it gets a dent, it reforms, if you shoot at it, it reforms. You explode it, it might be able to reform. The problem is actually making the suspendium that can do this. Maybe a type that acts like a magnet, but only to suspendium of the same type? Even then, you would have to keep it at a distance from comrades... hmmm...
Polslavia seems way to overpowered for its size. I find it hard to imagine this all being produced on that island without exhausting all of its resources already.
For their size and geographical location would make it difficult to develop so much. The main reason the ICF does so well is cause its great geographical location. Right between all 3 New world continents and in a space of open ocean that major trade routes can flow around and hit multiple trade locations in quick succession.
The PRA doesn't really have any super weapons. Have some "secret" weapons but no instant city killers or nation crushers.
Chancellor Christo is at his desk. A cigarette in his mouth, in his hand, and in the ashtray. He busily flips through papers, signs some, rewrites others. He calls for assistants and gives them various tasks. Christo hasn't slept for days, more issues in the nation just keep springing up. A PRA officer walks into the room and informs Christo of the attack on Azrean Major General Terry. Christo dismisses the officer and lets out a groan. He has enough problems, someone trying to provoke a war with a superpower isn't something he needs. The Chancellor walks out onto his balcony. He looks into the distant woods and finishes his cigarette and than lights another. Thinks about letters he needs to write and apologies and offers that must be sent. He stares at the treeline for a few minutes. Christo sees something move in the brush and than sees a muzzle flash and hears the crack of a rifle shot. He turns to run back inside but he stumbles halfway to his balcony door. On the ground he looks down and sees blood pouring out of his chest. He clutches at his chest, "I don't need this shit today..."
Commander Ruskov got his report of the attack on the foreign Major General and a hour later a notice of the death of Chancellor Christo. Commander Ruskov curses the day, Crian, Polslavian, or a domestic revolutionary is making the situation critically dangerous with these attacks. He orders the best PRA agents to defend all domestic and foreign agents and request the spy agency doubles its recruits for the next 6 months.
The People's Republic is shocked at Chancellor Christo's death and swears revenge against those responsible. The nation holds an immediate election and General Piglets granddaughter Senator Vianka is elected as the nations new Chancellor.
Chancellor Vianka is caught offguard by the events of the last three days. She was waiting in New Gloria to meet the Azreans but now she is Chancellor of the People's Republic. A position she didn't expect to run for for atleast another decade.
Vianka wasted no time in her new duties. She personally wrote to the Azrean King and said she was fully committed to peace and cooperation even if the NWLA failed to establish an alliance. Vianka called on her friend and mistress
Intelligence Agent Mags to personally deliver a message to Queen Rayne. Telling Mags to plead to the Queen to do everything in her power to ensure this Alliance will come through. Vianka than wrote up a reform for the PRA. To change it from a single commander to a board of 7 commanders. Commander Ruskov would lead the board but 6 other commanders would have a say on major military decisions.
Queen Rayne puts most of the NWLA military forces on the outskirts of the city and assigns her personal royal guard of 2,000 elite infantry to guard the Azrean visitors and all other guests. The ICF generals also assign 5,000 "Falcons", members of the ICF special forces to guard the event. Queen Rayne personally greets the Royal Family and Senior Officers and offers them the finest rooms in her palace. The first day consists mainly of pleasantries and gifts. The second day the senators, diplomats, officers, and officials all meet in a massive ceremonial hall and they finally get down to the serious business.
Polslavia has it's weapons focused on quality, not quantity. It relies on being technologically superior to others when it comes to machinery. Most of Polslavia's resources come from trading, besides the Artificial Suspendium Crystals it produces and sells en masse. They remain one of the best trading hubs in the New and Old world, and defend the homeland vigorously. Polslavia's military doctrine is much like the modern German army, based around defence (or so I have heard). Polslavia retains income by buying and selling specialized equipment and trading, the most notably being Suspendium crystals. Although they have mining operations and oil platforms out at sea, these are somewhat scarce. The Suspendium missile was decommissioned shortly after it was made, since it was too expensive and impractical, now that they have the Gorduma kinetic gun. Now, back to the story.
Shortly after receiving the news of Chancellor Christo's death, the Prime Minister of Polslavia orders a infiltration of the Spy Embassy. Although Polslavia has no spies, other nation's agents lead police to Documents and a suspect are found, but Polslavia is yet to release information on the assassin. Soon, the Polslavian Prime Minister heads to the Ceremonial Hall in New Gloria to discuss operations with the Azreans, PRA, and ICF. They bring gifts, such as several Soldiv-IV infantry robots. Hopefully, things go well.
"We would like to know," said Major General Terry, "the force responsible for the attack on me and my men. And I also believe that this is the same group behind the assassination of the late Chancellor."
Behind the senior man, three dozen Azrean marines stood in perfect formation, each with a silver medal emblazed onto their uniforms. The Azrean royal guard. Their guns were held in a leather sheath at their sides, but they looked just as intimidating as the pictures of them in the battlefield. An undefeated force, the top military sect in the entire Empire. And thirty six of their best stood in the same room as some of the most important people in the world- each with their own bodyguards. perhaps, but the Azrean Royal Guard was more noticable than the others by a long shot.
The NWLA diplomats shifted their feet every few seconds, and there was a long silence before anyone spoke again.
"On behalf of the New World League of Allies, I apologize for the recent attacks on your people," Chancellor Vianka said uncomfortably.
"If you're truly sorry, then hire a goddamn army of detectives or spies or whatever and find the culprits!"
"General Derrage, we as well are-"
"Do you expect us to fund an investigation for an attack on foreign soil? If so, you are mistaken."
After that, he stepped down and motioned for Prince Alex to take his place. He had lost the confident mindset that he had held on the Annie, but he took out a paper and placed it on the stand anyways.
Then, he read, "Word has gotten to us that one of my father the king's messengers was murdered when he attempted to come into contact with Queen Olivia of the Queendom of Heras. I doubt you've heard of it before, it's a weak and tiny nation next to the Empire. But it was strong and big enough to kill a dozen armed Empire personnel. Do you know what happened? Someone bring up a television."
The request was granted, and the prince held up a small chip. He inserted it into the device, and all the people in the room leaned forward to see it. The screen buzzed with static briefly before it opened up to a video of the Imperial Air Navy flying towards a decently-defended city. The time read 4:30. The screen blacked out, but came back up again to the city of Heras leveled. Imperial Airships buzzed around, occasionally opening fire on the rubble or dropping bombs. The time read 4:45.
Everyone in the room, including the Princess and the General, gasped. The video was not over. The screen blacked out once more, and a man's voice began playing.
"Greeting to the people of the NWLA. I am King Aaron Faustus of the Third Azrean Empire. I was the king of the Empire a few hours ago. I am now still the king of the Empire. What has changed, you ask?" He held up a map of the Motherland and pointed to a triangle-shaped piece of land colored in red, like the rest of the Empire lands. "This has changed. This triangle was once a light shade of blue. Now it is red. Now it is red, like the rest of the Empire. I am interested in making allies. I do not mind if it does not succeed. But if you greet my good will with death," the video flashed back to the destroyed city. "Your piece of the map might turn red as well."
Then the screen died down and the humming stopped. The room was dead silent.
The Polslavian Prime Minister, along with four Soldiv-IV robots walk out of an Odessa class destroyer on the front of the hall. Three metal crates are then pushed out the cargo hold, with them being loaded onto a trolley to be readied for the Ceremony in the Ceremonial Hall. Soon, the Prime Minister of Polslavia walks into the hall, with the four guard Soldiv-IVs. The Azreans and NWLA had never seen such a weird machine. It being immune to small arms, and carrying a small Gatling each, they are practically a moving pillbox. The Soldiv-IV robots guard the Prime Minister, Vladislav Khalkyn at the time. The Prime Minister, along with the Chief Major of Defense, Ulkav Gol the III, sit down at the Hall. The men with crates soon unload the cargo; four Soldiv-IV robots in each crate. The robots are a gift to the NWLA, PRA, and Azreans Empire, four to each party.
However, things change immediately a television has a strange but terrible message repeats through it; A king now gone AWOL, a threat to decimate a city if none oblige by his terms. After the ceremony, The Prime Minister wants a talk with the Prince, General, and Princess of the Third Azreans Empire. He tells them that the Polslavians can destroy the area which this man is at, with a secret weapon. They wait the Azrean response.
The Prince throws the Prime Minister a grin. "You think we don't know about your little transaction with the Crians? I want the man alive, Prime Minister Vladislav."
The Prime Minister nods. "You know how rich Polslavia is. We could single-handedly fund the search. What I- as well as my peers- are concerned with, is the video you showed us in the meeting hall. It sounded much, much too much like a threat to me, and I'm sure some of the others think that way as well. Would you care to explain?"
The Prince lifts his chin.
"Me or my sister's never known the King on a fatherly level. It was our mother who raised us. I haven't the slightest clue to what father is planning, but you can be certain it's not a threat."
"I dearly hope so, Prince."
The King sits on his bronze throne. The banquet's planning is in it's final stages. If the NWLA is not ready to ally themselves with him before then, the Iron Plains Confederation will launch a full offensive on the Crian Alliance. The Empire has won the agreement of most of the independent city-states east of them, and soon they will form under a single banner. They'll be evenly matched, perhaps even stronger, than the Crian Alliance. With the Thor out of the picture and their fleets severely crippled, this was the best chance the Empire would have at avenging their fallen parents, the first two Empires. He writes a quick message to his son, telling him to immediately hurry up the peace talks and get it over with and return to the Empire within a week. The Crians are rebuilding at an alarming rate. We must strike them soon.
The King finishes his letter and hands it to a messenger. She hurries out. When the King is done filling out several forms regarding the Confederacy, he heads next door to where his wife lays, still and a pale as ice. He grasps her hand, and she wakes from her slumber.
"Aaron," she says.
"Bianca." he responds. "How are you doing? Do you need anything?"
"I'm fine, Aaron. How are Alex and Diana doing?"
"Not well. Someone tried to kill Terry the other day. Peace talks are not working. The Republic's Chancellor was assassinated as well."
Bianca hold a hand over her eyes.
"I do hope they'll return safely and soon. I wish to see my children a last time before I leave this place." She chokes the last word out, and the King's eyebrows immediately furrow.
"What's wrong, Bianca? What did the doctor tell you?"
"He says I can't hold on for much longer. The infection is slowing, but," she lifts the blankets to reveal a large purple spot on her stomach. "He says it's reach my heart in a month, at least. A year, at most."
The King curses and calls for the doctor. Moments later, he arrives, sweating.
"Is there nothing you can do?" The King yells at him. "My wife is dying! Is there nothing you can do?"
"N-no, your majesty. The Infection is uncureable. I gave her the best medicines in the country. I've spent all the money you've given me to buy new ones. It just isn't working."
The King's voice softens. "I'll give you another thousand. Just save her. Please, help her."
The doctor begins to grow nervous. "I'll try my best, sir."
Nevermind do you mind taking that post down for now so i can put mine back up
Okey, took it down.
On the night after the banquet, the leaders of the Iron Plains Confederacy decided to launch a complete offensive on the Crian Alliance. Fight fire with fire, they were told by the King. Two massive forces of both air and land forces each breached different locations in the Crian border defense. Both of them captured a city. A third smaller force began to fight on the borders of the Empire a few hours later.
Among these militaries were fourteen of the Seventeen Gods, a mysterious ship branch that had only seventeen ships of the kind made. These served as the flagships for each of the 17 armadas of the Empire, though the Annie Valor was considerably stronger than two of them combined. Twelve armadas were in Crian lands already, and two were fighting it out in the Eastern Theater, where battle was much at a standstill. The rest of the fleets were on defense duty. The Dawnslegion, the most powerful branch of the military (the Royal Guard is part of this one) waiting for the Annie Valor to return to command it.
The Imperial Forces were supported everywhere by the rest of the Confederation, and they filled in the gaps where the Empire could not.
The Confederacy-Crian war has begun!
piglet, could you update the map with the Confederation (its everywhere else in the motherland) and make a crosshairs between it and the Crian Alliance? Thx.
The Annie Valor departed from Sigun without notice. They were needed at the front lines, an army without it's flagship is pretty demoralizing after all right? The ships were already out at sea before the NWLA took action and decided to follow them. They were due a visit to the Empire anyways. The Prince sank back in his soft velvet couch and let out a groan. "Why could father have not waited until later?"
Suddenly, a deep and mysterious voice spoke. "Long live the King," was all he said. The prince's lips curved into a slight smile. "Long live the King," he repeated.
"Long live the Empire," they said in unison.
The Polslavian Prime Minister rallies forces, awaiting allies across the world. During which, he dispatches a message to the Azrean Leaders requests them to tell of how they know of the Gorduma trade.
The Princess is the one who recieves the letter, but not until after she returns to the Capital and gets a hot bath and three new dresses, claiming she "needs to relax." When she's all comfortable she sits down and reads the letter.
"If we were to tell you of how we knew of the kinetic weapon transaction, let it then be known that the Crians had lost all contact with the Thor. They got rid of it, and sending a space object hurtling to the Earth won't do them much good. So who did they give it to? Being the two richest nations in the world, eitger you or the ICF. And it certainly wasn't the ICF." She leaves the letter like that, without even a signature. It is sent the following day.
The Polslavian Prime Minister gets the message, and accepts it as a "possibility" on how the Azrean Empire knows of the Gorduma trade. However, because of it's anonymous writer, it leads to the Prime Minister to believe it's a forged document. They fear that a Azrean spy has gotten onto the Gorduma, and, if the Azreans have no enemies, they fear that Polslavia might be next. This is only speculation, at the moment. No documents on Azrean spies in the Gorduma have been found, and hopefully none are found.
Uh i just want to be clear on one thing. Are the Empire, PRA, and Polslavia all the nations who's creators are still active? How do you control the nations who dont have an active user?
Polslavia is definitely active, the Crian Empire is non-player, the PRA is active I think. Not sure about the others.
Polslavian Military I: The Soldiv-IV
The Soldiv-IV is the fourth soldiv in the series. It gave it's name to a new class of war machine, like the tank or the assault rifle. A Soldiv is a mechanical man designed for supporting infantry, destroying armored vehicles, and defending outposts. The Soldiv-IV is a 7 foot tall robot that not only has good armor, but can wield weapons a squad of infantry would normally take to use effectively. First, we should start with the engine of the Soldiv-IV.
The engine is a steam core with four cylinders arranged in a spiral position. The pipes for the steam are arranged around the actual cylinders and crank shaft, allowing for a compact and effective steam boiler. These then power hydraulics and servos that turn the head, arms, legs, and everything really.
The mind is not a single mind, but is actually three minds. One controls and commands the Soldiv-IV, by spotting targets and moving the legs. The second mind controls the arms and aiming for guns. The last one makes the Soldiv-IV a proper fighting machine. This mind locates obstructions to the objective, and formulates a solution to said problem. If there is a bunker in front of the machine, it takes out the bunker and moves on. If the enemy gets reinforcements, the Soldiv-IV will take cover and fight on a defensive role. The only flaw is if the objective is destroyed, then it just wanders around and kills enemy units. The way Soldiv-IV robots don't go AWOL if it sees allies is because the Polslavian Armed forces crest is imbedded to make the machine not kill comrades. If one were to "hack" a Soldiv-IV, it would take a very long time to make it effective.
Lastly, the weapons. The Soldiv-IV does not have one specific type of weapon. Instead, it has multiple weapons for different roles. The most commonly used weapon is the BR-XA, and can also use Hand-cannon mounts. How the guns attach is most impressive. It uses Negative Suspendium to attach. It has one crystal for each arm that juts out. The guns then have a piece of Negative Suspendium that juts inward, and they fit perfectly together. How it halts from going towards other Negative Suspendium is by a anti Suspendium insulator that halts Suspendium from going up, or in our case, towards other pieces of NS (Negative Suspendium). This allows for quick weapon changing and rapid repairs.
The PRA, Polslavia, and Azrean Empire are active. The ICF and Crian Alliance are non player nations. Except Korono which is controlled by Respawn and is in the ICF. I try not to do much with Korono. When I take control of another nation I try to balance it out and do little or no negative directly to it. The PRA and Crian Alliance clash all the time but neither side gets ahead of the other. I think it would be unfair if I decided by myself that I could crush another large superpower in battle.
The History buff in me cannot resist using one of the most powerful weapons against Polslavia though.....LOGISTICS!!! I am using very generous numbers for these estimates, they would likely be much higher than I say.
10,000 computer controlled robots, power supply....unknown, elite weapons, and incredible armor. Equipping and building this many machines quickly would take a considerable amount of time and money considering the quality they are made with.
A T-34 tank, a rather crude and easy tank to produce would take 8,000-10,000 manhours to build. So lets be generous and say the Soldiv-IV takes 8,000 manhours to build. 80 million manhours to build 10,000 Soldiv-IVs. That would take around 27,000 people working 56 hours a week year round to do. This is just for 10,000 Soldiv-IVs and these would be rather generous figures. As a higher quality German Panther was 50,000 manhours on the very very generous side and 150,000 on the much harsher side.
The Soldiv-III, have a range of 450 miles. WW2 tanks and modern tanks get about 0.4-0.6 miles per gallon. Treads and wheels are much more efficient than legs but we can be generous and give the Soldiv-III a 0.5 mile per gallon ratio. The Soldiv-III would need a 900 gallon tank of petrol to accomplish this. Making it a very heavy and very flammable machine. Maintaining all of these machines would require a massive supply of petrol as well.
These figures would strain even a large military focused nation. Unless if technology has jumped foward from the 1940ish range to 2100 or something.
Also I figure any nation worth its suspendium would employ flamethrowers against Soldivs. Thick armor and their agile movement would heat the engine very quickly. Anything that could heat the engine a little more could stall it and potentially destroy it in the process. Temperature control is one of the most vulnerable parts of an engine and tanks despite all of their armor can be crippled by just some damage to their radiator.
I just got off work and have my next shift in less than 8 hours and I need some sleep so I will give you a summary and I can fill in the details later.
-The NWLA argues for a bit but settle on a defensive alliance with The Azrean Empire, further negotiations and details regarding trade and the alliance will continue.
-The PRA signs for the defensive alliance and signs an agreement to supply The Azrean Empire with aid and equipment for their offensive.
-The PRA finds a small part of the organisation responsible for the attack. A large mercenary and revolutionary network that spans worldwide. Their connections seem deep and they will be incredibly hard to track. Several members of the organisation caught in the People's Republic are offered to the Azrean Empire.
-Chancellor Vianka reminds Major General Terry that it was a PRA soldier who gave his life for him. If the PRA wanted him dead they wouldn't have used something as sloppy as a rocket.
-The Crian Alliance mobilizes its massive landship force. Their intercontinental fleet was heavily damaged but the domestic air fleet and landships have been untouched. Especially the landships because PRA and Koronian agents don't bother sabotaging land based units.
-A Polslavian fisherwoman and an Azrean merchant got married!
-ICF industrial stocks drop 0.5 percent during the New Gloria negotiations.
Meh, ish just for the story. In realistic terms, the Soldiv-III is massive. It isn't the most efficient of the Soldiv series, so only 12 are built. The Soldiv-IV is one of the simplest to build of the series, mainly because of small size and the use of easier to produce parts. Still, it would take quite the sum of time for 10,000 Soldiv-IV robots to be built. However, they are designed to last a LONG time. So, production time would not be a major thought, but still there. They have the negative Suspendium sockets for replacement of guns, and most guns on it are already in stock. If flamethrowers were to come into widespread use against Soldiv-IV machines, it would be a problem, until it is ironed out. However, one could add some sort of insulator to the outside, or maybe have access steam jet out around the machine, for quick firefighting capabilities, or to act as smoke dischargers... Ooh DAT sounds good!
Also, a Polslavian Fisher Woman and a Azrean Merchant got married? Sounds notice
Along with the Soldiv-IV's guns, the only weapon produced especially for the machine is the KO-IB, the Kavkaz Orlon I model B, a short mortar for use in cities. Not very pretty, but hurts like crap when it hits! It's mainly for use against infantry groups in urban areas.
To add onto the steam dischargers, it could be possible by a refit package that would be sent to Soldiv-IV regiments. Have it take off the exhaust system of the original, make this package connect to the exhaust to use steam that would usually be jetted out... that way, flame throwers would be a tad bit less effective against the Soldiv-IV.
Fatpiglet, I'm going to be AFK for a while so I'm giving you permission to take control for my nation. Just try to keep Korono's "virtues" alive will you?
Honestly speaking, no matter how you look at it Polslavia is waaaay too overpowered for its size. Keep in mind that Polslavia is 9th on the power ranking andthe Crian Alliance is the first. On top of that, the Soldiv-IV robots numbering 10k with the help of certain other land units numbered 20k destroyed an army of 100k. Being generous and saying each Polslavian Soldier can kill two enemies before going down, that leaves 60k for the machines to kill. No matter which way I look at it I find it far fetched that Polslavia was able to defeat an army of 100k with 30k. It just isn't possible. They can hold out, but they modt certainly can't win.
The Crians probally would have war machines as well.
The Crians would have been thrown into an empire that, although a major trading hub, they would have not known as well as Polslavia. A sum of the defenders were Soldiv-IV robots, and since the Crians hadn't made a weapon designed to kill them in particular, most enemy guns capable of killing them (Like a modest cannon) were spewing on the ground blindly. On the offensive, Polslavia would probably lose, since attacking is definitely not a strong suite of the Nation. I'm probably going to redo the battle and the Crian's numbers, though, to make it more logical.
To be honest I find that battle very realistic- a nation fighting a desperate last stand against the world's most powerful empire. Though I think that in the end Polslavia should be the ones fighting a defensive battle, calling out for the other nations of the world for help.
On an early morning in Polslavia, the Crians landed in the port city of Kostav, with a capital ship and a few destroyers. Most believe it just to be a routine trip or for resupply, but soon, a army of 30,000 infantry and about 2,000 light walkers and scout vehicles assemble about a mile outside the Open Palms zone. They soon march towards the capital, and soon, a massed force of 10,000 Soldiv-IV robots and 20,000 defenders infantry meet with them 10 miles outside the city in a dense forest. The Crians open fire, and soon the Battle of Chuztok begins. The Crians, although they have the numbers, they have no weapons to counter the Soldiv-IV robots, and aren't as efficient at defense as Polslavia. Polslavia, with the better knowledge in their homeland and defense of it, have the advantage, although they don't have supporting artillery from coastal ship. The Polslavians also have aircraft; about 12 Wopek-I heavy gunships. The Crians have only a few smaller scout balloons, nothing else. The forest erupts with gunfire and the hissing of boilers. Crian light walkers are taken by surprise, having to focus on machines not even half their size, and in swarms. The Soldiv-IV robots would then fire on the light walkers with light mortars, usually cracking the thin armor and killing some crewmen. The Crians fired blindly at the ground, sometimes tumbling about like a drunken sailor to find the targets. The Walkers could not stomp on them; mainly because of the terrain and the fear of them cracking a leg from exploding. Infantry dug in behind trees and shell craters, sometimes popping a few shots off at rivals before hiding or being shot. Some even engaged in hand to hand combat, punching, stabbing, hitting, kicking, and punting each other with the guns. Soon, the Crain forces were extinguished, with 45,000 casualties and the rest surrendering.
In our case, the Crians had hoped for a quick, easy surrender, much like the Soviet Union during WWII, but using much less forces. Now, Polslavian defending forces would aim to kill, shooting Crian ships with impunity.
The first of the Polslavian warships arrived at the West coast of the Crian Alliance just as the Confederate Fleets arrived at the two coastal towns of Phiam and Acrati, coming in "guns-a-blazing." The Town of Phiam was located on a small island, so the Navy just circled around the city, firing full broadsides until the city was taken. The Crian flag was burned down and a Confederacy flag rose in its place, followed by the flags of the Empire and all the other members of the Confederation. The fleet moved on to Acrati next, but that city was better defended. The Polslavian forces jumped at the chance to help on the offensive (they couldn't do much damage by themselves anyways) and rushed in to assist the Confederacy fleet. When their nationality was confirmed the Polslavian cruisers were let into the battle.
The Siege raged on for three days, neither side letting up and the steel-plated walls of Acrati holding up millions of bullets and bombs. This battle was known as the "Battle of the Earth and Sea," as the navy never found a place to dock and the Acrati warships were never deployed, creating a battle where each side was on either land or ocean, never crossing into the other. Eventually the three-day offensive burst was put to a stop and the navy began pacifying the city of Phiam. Soon Imperial supply lines connected to Phiam and the troops stationed there found it much easier to attack whenever they pleased. This was pretty much all the action in the Western Crian Alliance.
The Southern frontier, however, was quickly turned into a massive warzone. Hundreds of thousands of troops were stationed there at all times, and artillery rounds were a constant hazard to anything daring enough to venture out of the trenches. Imperial and Crian soldiers alike might have had to sleep in the trenches for days at a time before a transport arrived to exchange the units.
The Crians were not without their victories, though. In a flash of movement one of the Seventeen Gods was sabotaged, and it fell into the Confederacy Army. Thousands died, but the Empire pressed on. The war has come to much of a standstill, though many speculate that the Gorduma will be aimed soon at Acrati, and if that happens then the Navy will make their final push to take the Western coast and create a fourth Imperial base in Crian lands.
The Crian Alliance is at it's most dangerous position in decades. One wrong move and the Iron Plains Confederacy will sweep over the lands and burn their cities to the ground, and that is something they absolutely cannot let happen. For this reason, every last Alliance soldier fights their hardest until their last breath, and each vow to bring down two Imperial soldiers for every friendly life that they take.
The Prime Minister of Polslavia gives Directorate 11: The launch of the Gorduma weapon. It strikes Acrati hard, four massive rods slamming into the city, sweeping it away. Two more rods hit Crian forces on the coast, allowing Polslavian reinforcements to arrive. Polslavia had also been developing offensive tactics. New doctrines for assault were created, making the once feeble assault operations sturdy and strong. They now have tactics on par with the Azreans, and march on through Crian Land.
Three hours after the Acrati bombing, the Crian Alliance launched their first major resistance since the war began. Over the entire world, Crian agents and patrols mobilized en masse and started to attack the nations they were posted in, utilizing a set of hit-and-run tactics that resulted in minimal casualties.
The Crian Army arrived at Acrati the day after its bombing. They began a massive siege on the city, which was only a few buildings remaining at this point. Cannons were fired from Phiam, providing supporting fire.
In the south, things were not looking well for the Confederacy. The Alliance was pushing them back into the Imperial Territory, and another of the Gods were destroyed. The Annie Valor still remained a storm of fire, and the eastern side that it fought in scored many important victories.
But when the Gorduma gun prepared to fire once more, a certain mysterious man vanished from the Crian Imperial court...
The Gorduma fired once more, carpet bombing the entire Crian defense line. A singular spy was found on the Gorduma, however. He managed to kill 3 commanders before the ship's engineering officer put him out. Several explosives were disarmed; none went off, thankfully. The entire Crian front line had collapsed, with only wrecks of machines about. The Polslavian Thirty-Eight Soldiv regiment stormed a heavily defended Crian military outpost with very little losses, and had gained several Crian tanks and walkers, along with a unknown machine. The contraption appeared to be some sort of death ray, and was quickly sent to the Polslavian reserves behind the front line.
Note that 95% of the forces attacking th Crian have Confederate allegiances. The Polslavians are still considered as mere helpers as they lack the manpower to be accepted as a fellow invader.
The Confederacy vouched to stay behind as the Polslavian forces pressed on towards the heart of the Empire. Across the warzone Confederate soldiers drew back and retreated, compressing their forces to protect their old territory. The Crian radios in the captured cities revealed that they were unleashing "Code Blue" on the enemy forces. The cautios Confederacy thought that Code Blue was some sort of secret weapon and stayed behind, defending their spoils of war.
Polslavian forces had developed in tactics greatly by this point, studying allies and enemies. Now, Polslavia would be on the defensive, which they are second to none to when defending.
Um this wont work...
crian is the number one nation. It would not have fallen this easily, without victories even.
And as I said before, Polslavia is a small nation. Without help from anyone else (and the Confederacy were not helping them) it is not possible it would have defeated the Crians on their own soil.
The reason you fended off the crians at polavia was because polslavian soldiers have the terrain advantage.
But I find this absolutely unbelievable
From as soon as I began the game you've been upping your nation unbelievably. It's not realistically possible for such a tiny island nation to be on par with a nation the size of the PRA or the both the Empires. It just is not possible. Polslavia has buildings and factories and suspendium mines that just wont fit on that island.
If you want a powerful nation, fine. Get a bigger island. But it annoys me how you shamelessly make Polslavia into a nation no one can hope to beat without powerplaying.
I'm just going to redo the history of Polslavia, then. I can see your point.
Polslavia is the size of Poland, and it's definitely big enough for factories and shipyards, with cities too. Polslavia's metals usually come from trade, along with most fuel and ores. Suspendium is usually made artificially in one of the factories. They have defensive buildings dotting the coast line, mainly because tactics aren't as developed as other nations. Almost all weapons are for defense, too. Polslavia has it's cities defended by major guns and such, preventing large-scale invasions and air raids by a large sum. The Polslavian armed forces rely on technological superiority to other nations, with defense tactics merged in. On the offensive, they usually back other nations with weapons. The Crians lost to the Polslavian defenders due to the lack of forces, and the technological superiority of Polslavia. Most weapons are built to last a long time, to be refitted with better weapons and armor, much like the Soldiv. The navy would comprise of 3 Coastal defense battleships, 12 Heavy and protected cruisers, 1 airship tender, and about 18 smaller Monitors. The air force comprises of 2 Aeronoughts, 8 Cruisers, and 14 destroyers, with about 3 heavy Troop transports, and around 30 Wopek-I gunships, with maybe a heavy Wopek-IV in between. On land, it comprises of 10,000 Soldiv-IV robots, all of which are continuously upgraded. Along with that is 15 Medium Walkers, 6 Heavy Walkers, and around 55 Light walkers, with a few cavalry tanks in between. I think these might be good numbers for the armed forces.
For me to efficiently judge whether or not a country can field x units I need to know how large the map is.
Either way Polslavia is tiny compared to bigger countries and however you look at it Polslavia will be one of the weaker nations at that size.
A fine example on how big the map is, is the fact that the PRA is about the size of Russia.
Ah. Then certainly, you can field all those soldiers. I like to take into consideration the power ranking of everyone when I'm RPing.
Oh, okey. Thanks for helping me make Polslavia more realistic!
Yeah I am also trying to match the realism of the nations. A problem I had with Polslavia since it was ridiculous in its strength. Israel is a incredibly strong small country but it has the support of a massive superpower. Even with that though if Russia or China attacked Israel could fight hard but wouldn't be able to win that war.
I find it hard to see Polslavia repelling a Crian attack so easily. The best defense of an island nation is repelling the invaders before they get on shore. The Crians got on shore and got past the beaches. The hardest part of a island invasion was over. Crian agents would know about the Soldiv-IV and would make sure ground troops would be equipped with weapons or support to counter them. As the strongest military in the world I doubt the Crian Alliance would be caught so off guard. Polslavia would likely repel the Crians but it would take a long time and likely the Crians would withdraw because of the Azrean threat. (Input below will help explain the battle of Chuztok and its outcome)
I would put the Crian Alliance on technology terms roughly equal to the Azrean Empire, slightly ahead in some areas and slightly behind in others. Their tactics and strategies would be some of the best in the world. Their soldiers morale and training is high quality. Infantry weapons are slightly outdated but reliable and effective. Offensive weapons and vehicles would be quite good as well as their defensive capabilities.
The Crian Alliance military is based around two segments of its forces. Intercontinental which is designed to attack the New World, and domestic which is designed to fight in the Old World. The intercontinental fleet is mainly built of light airships designed to fly the over the ocean and be resource efficient. The domestic fleet is designed around massive heavy landships and lumbering airships. These vehicles are superior to the intercontinental ships in all combat regards but they need frequent resupplying and would fair poorly on a ocean voyage.
This is the only reason the PRA can stand up to the Crian Alliance. It is because its intercontinental fleet is only a chunk of its overall forces and the Crian Alliance is more focused on their domestic fleet. The PRA despite only fighting the Crians intercontinental fleet still barely stalemate the battles. The Crian Alliance isn't a primitive nation that will fall easily.
This is a story of Irem in the battle of Chuztok, the northern nation to Polslavia and the People's Republic.
Irem is a young nation like most nations in the New World. They have fought many battles in their history. At first against the Crian Empire and The People's Republic. Now they usually fight as contracted mercenaries for nations in the NWLA especially the PRA. Irem isn't a particularly rich or powerful nation but they have sufficient resources and the best pilots the world has ever seen.
Irem is the homeland of many of the greatest pilots in modern history. Flying is deeply rooted in their culture and military pilots are some of the most respected people in their nation. Flagships and massive cruisers are difficult beasts to control and it takes an experienced and well trained pilot(s) to maintain control of one. For these massive airships major nations will hire Iremian pilots to train their native pilots or send their pilots to a Iremian flight school based out of Polslavia. Sometimes they will hire an Iremian pilot themselves to fly their massive warships but this is rare because most Iremians are fiercely loyal to their homeland.
The Iremian military is most well known for their fighters and dive bombers. Their fighters are known as the knights of the sky and their dive bombers are often called "reapers" by enemy landship crews. A name divebombers took so fondly to that their bombers are referred to as "reapers". The Iremian divebomber is considered so dangerous by landship crews that many will abandon their ships upon notification of them being in the area.
Iremian planes are incredibly advanced pieces of equipment. The chassis and engine for all their plane types are near identical. Relying on an advanced high speed jet engine combined with a smaller rocket engine the plane is incredibly fast and can use the rocket to quickly climb, engage, or escape. The Chassis is quite small and well armored for a airplane. Recent technology has also equipped the planes with a computer similar to the Soldiv-IV. A 3 part computer that assists pilots heavily. One part notices threats, the next calculates timing of that threat, whether flak guns or machine guns, the last will adjust the plane by the smallest margins to dodge these threats. Often times a Iremian plane will dodge cannon shots and clouds of flak by a fraction of a meter. An incredible combination of computer technology and pilot skill. This makes Iremian planes incredibly fast, small, agile, and armored. An absolute nightmare for a flak crew to try to hit. The Knight(fighter) is equipped with 2 20mm cannons that can be equipped with a variety of rounds. Mainly used to attack light ground targets, bombers, and other fighters the Knight usually just supports the Reapers in an assault. The Reapers(dive bombers) are equipped with a single 20mm cannon and a heavy high explosive bomb. This bomb is designed to be released at high speeds and the momentum will puncture through even heavy armor than followed by a explosion. Even the heaviest armor is unlikely to deflect a properly delivered bomb. Making even heavy landships incredibly vulnerable to a swift attack. The least common plane is the Guide(scout plane) the guide is a 2 seater plane with a single 20mm front cannon and a rear facing machine gun. The guide stays at lower altitudes and helps advise bombers on targets and on routes to take. They are a priority target as they make the bombers much more effective.
Major Semaj was leading his platoon in the early morning over the ocean between Irem and Polslavia. Semaj was leading two squads of reapers and 1 squad of knights in a biweekly patrol towards their southern island neighbor. Major Semaj was 27 and had been a pilot for most of his life. He did well on physical and written tests as a child and started his career at 10 years of age like most Iremian pilots. When he was 16 he went on his first mission, he skirmished against PRA airships and was awarded for his bravery on multiple occasions. He fought against the Crian Alliance on multiple occasions. Contracted by the PRA he fought the Crians as if they were attacking the homeland. Semaj quickly rose through the ranks and started leading his own squad by 20. He loved being a pilot, he loved the rush, he loved his comrades, he loved defending his country.
Major Semaj was enjoying a quiet morning with his platoon, laughing at the banter on their radios as the pilots exchanged jokes. Things were pretty standard until he got a long range radio transmission from an Irem airbase. "Come in Major Semaj" Semaj quickly replied and hushed his platoon. "Polslavia reports Crian attack.......near Kostav......walkers, airships, and infantry.......move to engage Crian Threat." Major Semaj was stunned for a few seconds, he was all for shooting at some Crians but engaging an enemy for a non NWLA nation didn't make much sense. "Do you copy Major? This is an order. Polslavia may not be a friend of the NWLA but they are a friend of the homeland." Major Semaj replied "Copy sir, moving to engage." Polslavia isn't a big friend of the NWLA as a whole but it was Irem's 2nd biggest trading partner and incredibly important to Irem's plane production.
Major Semaj called his platoon into combat formation and increased the speed towards the coordinates given. Two squads of 9 reapers and a squad of 12 Knights. 30 planes total, enough to make a dent in a Crian force but unlikely enough to change the tide of battle. As he started flying over Poslavian airspace he received a transmission from a Polslavian base clearly alarmed about the fighter formation. Semaj informed the base about his team and his mission and their attitude quickly changed. The base informed Semaj about a small airfield located somewhat near where the Crian attack was taking place and how him and his crew could land there to refuel and rearm. Major Semaj thanked the man and said he would do exactly that.
Semaj and his platoon picked up their speed. Knowing fuel and supplies would be available they could focus on fighting and not on conserving resource for the flight home. Upon entering the battlefield Major Semaj informed the Polslavian command about him and his mission. A Polslavian general informed him about how the Crian ships and walkers were destroying the Soldiv-IV's and how many of his men were pinned down at the moment. Major Semaj acknowledged this and sent his Knights on strafing runs on the Crian front lines while him and his reapers would climb and start taking out enemy walkers. Major Semaj and his platoon were completely unsuspected by the Crians and caught their front line off guard. 20mm cannons ripped apart many of the light walkers while the Reapers bombs destroyed the larger walkers. The surprise of the attack swung the momentum to the Polslavians who swiftly took to the offensive. Major Semaj and his crew went in waves of two, one attacking and covering the Polslavians while the other landed and resupplied. It only took a few bombing runs to completely turn the momentum to the Polslavians. The following runs were mainly supportive, clearing out pits of resistance and the occasional hidden walker. Seven Irem planes were shot down that day (4 Knights and 3 Reapers), but Polslavian forces were quick and every pilot was successfully rescued.
Major Semaj and his whole platoon returned to Irem the following day. The intervention of the Iremian Pilots was largely kept quiet to avoid diplomatic problems with the NWLA. In private the pilots were thanked and awarded for their bravery and actions that day.
The PRA after the agreement with the Third Azrean Empire begin sending resources over to their new allies. Raw materials such as coal, wood, and petrol arrive in bulk. A shipment of 10,000 RAR-1 rifles and 500 SPGs soon follow.
The RAR-1 received mixed opinions among Azrean soldiers. Some admired it for its incredible firepower with its large caliber and high firerate. Some disliked it for its mediocre accuracy and extreme recoil. Azrean and PRA weapon designers now meeting together updated the rifle with some Azrean tech and lightweight metals. Lowering the RAR-1's weight by 1 Kilogram and reducing the blowback by about 30% it made it a much more manageable rifle for a slightly higher cost. The new rifle was called the RAR-1A by the Azreans (Ruskov Assault Rifle Version 1 Azrean Variant) and called the RAR-2 by the PRA, often referred to by historians as the RAR-1A/2. The Azreans received shipments of the RAR-1A/2 from the People's Republic for a short time before contracting their own factories to make the RAR-1A/2. The RAR-1A/2 became the standard Azrean battle rifle after a few months and was phased out about a year later by a new Azrean made assault rifle.
The PRA sent its first shipment of troops to the Azrean Empire a week after the new alliance was signed. A Division of PRA soldiers numbering near 15,000 was sent over. Fully equipped with RAR-1 rifles, SPGs and a month worth of rations the Division was ready to work. All Senior officers and many junior officers were bilingual to help smooth out communication. It took some time for the two countries forces to adjust to each other. The Azrean soldiers never quite understood the PRA soldiers love of charging enemy landships/bunkers and attempting to toss grenades inside. As well as their fanatical fighting style and rather reckless tactics. The PRA soldiers didn't quite understand the Azreans caution and military strategy, but adapted to it. PRA soldiers quickly became fond of Azrean Landships. The PRA fields very few land vehicles and the PRA soldiers quickly became fond of the luxury of having a large armored vehicle to provide cover and support them in assaults.
The Azrean Empire with this additional support were able to push north aggressively and clash with the Crians on relatively equal footing. Although with heavy infantry casualties the PRA continued a weekly shipment of a full division of soldiers (15,000). The Azrean Empire would need this support. The Crian domestic fleet was not a gentle beast and they would need all the military support they could muster.
The first floor of the Bronzepyre at Phiam was completed a week after it was conquered. The Azreans were to claim the west coast and much more inland, and the rest would be Confederacy pickings.
Polslavia's old world island, along with its archipelago, would be theirs if they wished.
Major General Terry sat in his temporary office in the Bronzepyre, but was disturbed when a note was slipped under his door. He sighed and reached for it, breaking the neutral seal and reading the words inside.
"Prepare for Code Blue."
Just as he finished reading it, the floor burst into white-hot flames. Then descended from the skies a enormous horde of ferocious, crimson-scaled Dragons, and mounted atop were their riders wielding flamethrowers.
The city was bathed in a scarlet storm of fire that day.
Chancellor Vianka was sitting up in her bed going over papers and documents. Rather standard and boring legislation she needed to make a decision on. Her mistress agent Mags was curled up by her side asleep. It was a quiet day for Chancellor Vianka, no public appearances or meetings for the day.
As she was looking over some legislation requesting additional petrol shipments to the Azrean Empire she heard a knock on the door. Before she could even respond a man throws the door open and pretty much sprints into the room. "Urgent letter for you Madame Chancellor!" The man halts halfway across the room, clearly caught off guard by what he walked in on. Vianka sighs, annoyed, with her arms crossed over her bare chest she says "well toss the letter over here and please give a lady some privacy." The man looking down walks forwards a few steps and tosses the letter onto the bed. Vianka still covering herself with one arm reaches foward and grabs the letter. She opens it to a paper that says "Prepare for Code Blue." Confused and annoyed she looks up and sees the man in front of her pulling out a pistol. As he levels and aims the pistol several shots are fired. The man drops his pistol, stumbles backwards, and collapses. Vianka turns and sees Mags completely naked, crouched on the floor with her pistol smoking in her hand.
Vianka in a phase of shock and just watches Mags. Mags shuffles through her clothes and pulls out her holster and straps it around her waist. She reloads her pistol and holsters it. She grabs her RAR-1A/2 carbine off the wall and walks towards the still open doors to the bedroom. Vianka hardly realizes it but it has barely been a minute since the man rushed through her door. Several Guards begin to rush towards her room but Mags standing in the doorway with only a holster on her waist and a rifle in her hands screams at them to leave. "Watch the other entrances you fuckers! One of you bastards let an assassin into this building! Get away from this room and do your fucking job!" Mags slams the door shut and shoves a chair under the handle for good measure.
Vianka has regained most of her composure in this time and has the phone in hand. Calling the few people she can trust most. She informs them to call the Nation into full alert and arrest all high priority targets currently in the People's Republic. The rumored "code blue" seems to have begun and she intends to be fully prepared for what follows.
Under the Crian Imperial Palace laid the greatest weapon man had ever created. Contained within a sprawling catacomb and protected by 50,000 elite soldiers laid the "Artemis," a massive airship equipped with a massive array of guns, stolen from every corner of the world, with nigh-impenetrable plating and some of the best pilots of the world, most of them trained in Irem their entire lives. This weapon was dubbed "Code Blue," only to be used in absolute emergencies. Even a strike or two from the Thor would not be able to fell this monstrosity.
In actuality, Code Blue was the command for every single Crian soldier in every corner of the world to take up arms. From the Dragonya Clan in the Far North to the Assassins Guild whos web spread wide across the PRA, every Crian man was expected to fight for the glory of the Empire until his last breath. Without fail.
In but nineteen day's time, the world was thrown into disarray, most if not all of the countries severely crippled by Code Blue. The Dragonya Clan had pushed the Confederate-Polslavian forces back down south, and many of the NWLA Leaders were assassinated or severely wounded. Even the secluded Cronica was affected, though their losses weren't great and they showed no sign of military mobilization.
On the twentieth day of Code Blue, the Artemis was unleashed upon the world. It made a beeline towards the south, and it's fearless pilots set a straight, unchangeable course to Azare City. The Iron Plains Confederacy calls for assistance to every nation in the known world.
"The horrors of the world have been unleashed.
The Glorious Crian Empire looms ahead of us. Their army is uncountable. There are humans, airships, landships. Sky Krakens and Dragon Riders. Pirates and Nobles alike.
This is their story. The story of the Unity of the World's Greatest Empire.
You can decide it's outcome. For it is us who can defeat them, and if we fall the Crian Empire will sweep over the world like a plague. Unmoving. Unforgiving.
This message is sent to the world.
What will the world send back?
How much of the Crian Alliance is left right before code blue is called? Just want to have an idea of their situation territory wise.
Their entire west coast is taken.
The Polslavian Armed forces takes up arms, and the Gorduma unleashes hell on earth to the Crian nation as a whole. Carpet bombing the entire nation, factories and all. They soon give a counter to the mass revolts globally, the creation of the Kuztov Odezka. This is a group of Polslavian funded and supplied Guerillas that were born to counter the revolts. Soon, the PRA and Third Azrean Empire are supporting the group, with them countering any revolts. Several shots are fired against Code Blue, but none do any damage, to their surprised and terror. The Polslavian forces set up defenses on the front line, with it soon becoming a stalemate from Polslavian defenders with Azrean support. IP-I and Soldiv-IV robots, along with upgraded Soldiv-I's form the entire front line. Azrean heavy walkers and airships continue to lead armored thrusts into Crian lines, now all that is waited for is more support, a counter to Code Blue. Several Soldiv-IV groups are using the RAR-2, and many grow to adore the gun; a perfect weapon for the heavily armoured Soldiv.
hey polslava do you know how to register a heraldry?
Don't you use your in-game account? One of my idiot friends took my account to sign in for the forum.
Ah ok lol
The Polslavians realize much to their fright that the Gorduma has been compromised. The computers and scanners that were targeting the Crian Alliance were actually hacked and jammed. Most of the Gorduma shots went wild, hitting the open ocean and causing mini tsunamis in a 10 kilometer radius. All of the remaining shots hit the People's Republic. Most hit rural areas and did little damage but a couple landed near big towns and destroyed much of the area. The People's Republic gets very upset and confused on what is happening with the Gorduma.
Polslavia leadership is stuck in an awkward situation now. The Gorduma is an incredible piece of military tech but the Crians have clearly infiltrated its electronic systems (makes sense, if you give someone a super weapon you probably know how to counter it). Polslavia could destroy the station or send it back to the ground and rebuild the systems which would take some time. They were also running low on Tungsten for the ammunition and the Crian Alliance was the only major nation with a surplus of Tungsten.
During this time Code Blue and its massive fleet was fighting on the western coast in the bloodiest war the modern world has ever seen.
The PRA military council deems this a nationwide emergency. 15,000 PRA infantry land in the Northern Azrean Empire every day. Moving to quickly reinforce the front. The Azrean Generals use these troops to fill voids in their lines and although suffering massive casualties the PRA troops and their fanatical morale keep moving forward to hold the line together. Code Blue continues to advance and the Confederacy soldiers and ships are forced to slowly retreat, one battle at a time.
The Tulsa Mountain range lies in the southern Crian Alliance. The Mountains reach an elevation too high for nearly all combat airships to enter and only the lightest and most agile walkers can maneuver. This makes the mountain ranges fighting grounds for mainly infantry. Some of the most freezing and harsh landscape in the world awaited whoever marched into the Mountain range. 300 Azrean Mountain Walkers and 15,000 PRA troops marched into the mountain range. Atop the mountain waited 500 Crian Walkers and 10,000 Crian Infantry.
The fighting was reported to be some of the most brutal and dangerous in the entire war. After 1 week nearly every single walker on both sides was destroyed or disabled. The only ships that flew to the area were drop ships, dropping off more troops and supplies and picking up the wounded. Within a month the mountain ranges were half in control of the confederacy while the Crians held on to the other half. 18,000 PRA soldiers and 5,000 Crian soldiers died fighting up to this point. Now 30,000 PRA soldiers and 15,000 Crian soldiers continued fighting for control of more of this harsh land. They were in a bubble isolated from the news of the rest of the war. The actions of these troops on both sides prevented the Confederacy or the Alliance from attempting any sneaky flanking maneuvers over the mountains.
Irem had remained largely out of the conflict so far with most battles only have 10-20 of their planes involved at a time on the Confederacy side. Repeated requests for assistance was met with "we need to defend our own lands" and similar responses from the small island nation.
Without notifying the rest of the Confederacy Irem called for operation Firefly. A daring mission to directly strike the Code Blue ship in the dead of night. On a cloudy dark night when all camps were hunkered down 300 Iremian planes flew forward. 10 Guide planes, 40 Knight planes, and 250 Reapers were involved in this operation. Every reaper was equipped with a heavy tungsten weighted bomb filled with a suspendium blast charge. The Crian forces were largely unprepared for a massive airborne assault that night and the first 50 reapers hit the Code Blue ship directly without a single shot being fired in return. The rest of the Reapers dived down and within 3 minutes the assault was over and the Iremian planes were flying back to base.
This is Major Semaj's report from the night he was flying in a Guide plane that night as an observer and commander.
"Post Strike Report of Operation Firefly. Friendly damage report 300 planes went in, 47 damaged, 11 crash landed, no casualties, no captured. Enemy damage report, 4 heavy walkers destroyed, 11 medium walkers destroyed, 79 flak gun positions destroyed, aprox 1100 enemy personal injured or killed. Code Blue damage report, light to minimal. Code Blue computer controlled gun systems destroyed several of our bombs before impact. Many of our bombs impacted and exploded without penetration. Some bombs penetrated and did damage to hull. Hull damage was minimal and their repair crews were on the damaged areas immediately. Mission completion status-partial success. Mission Report Concluded.
(Signed by Major Semaj of the Royal Iremian Airforce)
Polsavian High Officials, after the Gorduma was sabotaged, send it down to repair the aiming and computer devices, which takes some time. A new rod, a steel torpedo, is built for the guns. These use Negative suspendium, which now compensates for the power of a tungsten rod. Polsavian Prime Minister Vladislav Khalkyn meets up with PRA officials to apologize for the malfunction of the weapon, and explains the situation of the Gorduma, and promising a gift after this horrible conflict.
After which, PRA, Azrean, and Polsavian officials meet up in Polslavia to make a counter to the Code Blue. They devise a sabotage mission: Using an old Crian air cruiser, several thousand tons of explosives, and several brave men to sink it. The ship has no radio, and newly upgraded engines that would triple the ship's speed. All hope this make shift suicide cruiser will work...
a thousand tons of explosives is alot...
Only about 40 tonnes of gunpowder destroyed much of the city of Delft in the Netherlands.
In New York City, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers detonated 135 tons of explosives on Flood Rock, annihilating the island. The blast was felt as far away as Princeton, New Jersey and sent a geyser over 200 ft into the air.
A thousand tons of explosives would be very very big... any several thousand would most likely blow up the entire battlefield.
The Texas City Disaster is another example, it's one of the largest industrial accidents in the world and a LOT of people died.
Well, the Code Blue resisted a freaking kinetic weapon,so just a few thousand wouldn't hurt. Might destroy the navy, too!
Maybe have two ships....
You know how much a thousand tons can do?
Hiroshima, me thinks.
I think it might be enough to kill the Code Blue.
I think you need to search up real life examples of "several thouand tons" of explosives...
after looking it up
Yeah, I think it will work.
omg im not talking about whether it will work or not
do you realize how big a thousand tons of explosives are? let alone several
Code Blue didn't take a kinetic shot, hacked computer made the shot go wild. In reality nothing could stand up to a kinetic tungsten rod.
That would be a lot of explosives but not as effective as you may thing. The nuke in Hiroshima was estimated to have the explosion power of about 9,000 gigatons(a fucking lot) of TNT. So I find it unlikely the explosion would be anything like a nuke
The Crian intelligence is good. The chance of success for this plan are almost 0%. Someone would spill it to the Crians and they would blow up the ship near our lines.
The War Council has officers from every nation in the Confederacy. They are currently debating plans of attack. Arguments are heavy and the generals are unsure of how to proceed with Code Blue on the horizon. PRA General Amir, a young intelligent adviser for Senior Commander Ruskov, proposes a different plan.
"I propose that the NWLA, Polslavia, The PRA, and The Azrean Empire all assemble as many of our forces as we can on the Crian western coast. I have a plan, but I cannot reveal it in fear of an intel leak. If the plan fails our troops should have time to disperse and go back to our previous fighting plan. If the plan succeeds though, it will give us the best chance we may get at taking down Code Blue. Code Blue is only part of the battle but with it out of the way we are on equal fighting terms with the Crian Alliance once again. Are you with me gentlemen?"
Commander Ruskov and all PRA generals in the room immediately give their approval. They wait on the rest of the council for what they have to say.
Polsavian Generals and the Prime Minister approve the action, n
And go ahead with the PRA. The Gorduma, now with better, Polslavian computers is sent up, and soon, it awaits the attack on Code Blue.
The Gorduma is inspired by Pournelle's Project Thor, correct? Wouldn't that have the kinetic energy of 10 tons of TNT?
@Pompeii, when I originally brought in the Kinetic Weapon with the Crians I linked it to the wiki page. It really varies the amount of power a single shot would have since it is a theoretical weapon. The wiki talked about launching a telephone sized projectile, I made the projectile in this world bus sized. 10 tons of TNT does sound like a reasonable estimate for its power though. The bus sized projectile is likely up to 100+ tons of TNT.
The accuracy of the Gorduma would be questionable though. Computers are not that advanced and hitting a city wouldn't be easy. It would take a lot of calculations and the correct combinations of conditions to successfully launch a rod at a city. Now hitting a moving ship would be a total gamble. The Gorduma would need constant updates on its location and even if everything is perfect it would be hard to guarantee it's accuracy within a 1-3 Kilometer radius.
Also I think the Crians wouldn't let you bombard them endlessly with their own weapon.
The PRA Generals and NWLA wait for The 3rd Azrean Empire to come to their decision.
better add a targeting comp.
that 30% is useful
I've been drawing the Soldiv-IV, I'm almost done!
Say, Polslavia still has a few Suspendium Missiles, so... Maybe we can use one of those? Lots of punch, and accurate with computers.
What tech level are your missiles on. I thought they were on the tech level of the German V2 rocket. Which had an accuracy of roughly between 3km-18km radius. The next level of tech would be the PGM-17, which still was only accurate within a radius of about 3km. Even the high tech option would give a very slim chances of a hit on "Code Blue" and due to low investment I highly doubt the tech level would have gone beyond this point.
Unless if you had a human pilot, which I doubt because the Polslavian culture doesn't encourage martyrdom.
I think the missile would remain an unlikely solution.
Hmmm... I see your point. So, how WOULD we kill it? A ship with 50,000 men is huge, most modern aircraft carriers carry around 4,000. That thing will be frickin' huge. Maybe a downsize to 10,000 crew or something?
We have a potential counter but need the 3rd Azrean Empire on board first.
The "Artemis" was guarded by 50,000 soldiers, we do not know the crew size.
Oh.... I thought soldiers were crew.
Maybe, need to see if Pompeii can clarify that. I just thought the soldiers were patrolling and protecting the Artemis, not actually manning the ship themselves.
Also thinking on starting a second discussion hahah this one is so freaking long.
the Artemis can fit 15,000 people
it has three hangars each outfitted with 20 ships
has enough firepower to defeat a medium sized fleet by itself
Hmmm.... Maybe we could all band together and build a nuke?
Make it guided, too, like the Razon bomb, a WWII US bomb that was guided and very accurate.
Hmmm... Maybe Independence Day? XD
The war council is still awaiting the Third Azrean Empire and their decision to support the attack or to veto it.
Everyone else is just watching them :P
Im gunna afk for awhile. Piglet can control the empire while im absent.
well shit... i dont want control of 95% of the world haha
The PRA now with the Azrean and Polslavian support give the orders and mobilize their troops on the Crian Empires west coast. Massive numbers of infantry move into position followed by NWLA forces. The PRA hopes for the Azrean and Polslavian troops to soon follow them into this large open field. Soon to be a horrible battlefield.
The Spector is a modest sized ship and Korono's flagship. It uses some ancient form of suspendium to turn invisible. It is the only ship of its kind to do so and most only know rumors about the ship.
Confidential Report from the Koronian Spector during mission night owl. Only for the eyes of Nation Leaders and Senior Generals.
"Captain Reynold of the Spector. 23rd commanding officer of the Spector giving an official report on mission Night Owl. We flew into the Crian Camp around 11pm when it was completely dark. The Artemis was on the ground reloading and refueling. The ship was massive, it must take them 6 hours every night to restock that thing with supplies. Massive supply hatches open and forklifts and trucks and soldiers running back and forth shuffling supplies in and out. I commanded the Spector towards the rear of the massive ship. A large supply hatch lay open and I gave the command to aim at the opening. I gave the order to fire and my gunners unleashed everything we had in less than 2 seconds. Immediately after firing I gave the command to fly off. We were out of the area within 2 minutes.
Mission status-Success unverified
Captain Reynolds report concluded"
"2nd Royal Quartermaster of Artemis
Damage report from last night
We were hit near midnight by an unknown source. A small barrage of cannons was fired near the rear of the ship at an open supply hatch. Casualties were low but an ammunition store was destroyed and a boiler was damaged. Repairs would have been completed before morning but a PRA agent managed to sneak in during the chaos. Dressed as a Crian Soldier they managed to get inside the ship. A firefight followed but they got inside of a coolant room and blew up one of the ships radiators. Repair time for the radiator will be 1-3 days depending on enemy activity. The Artemis will need to be grounded for these repairs, with one of the radiators destroyed the ship cannot fly without overheating. Nothing overly critical but we need time and I am afraid we may not have much.
I formally request reinforcements from the nearest Royal Armada as the Artemis may be compromised if we do not work quickly.
Sent to the Crian Alliance War Council from the Artemis after the attack
Plaz tell if I need to change anything
The Artemis would be far from alone, and even grounded it is still a massive fleet crushing warship with a crew of 15,000. I would believe it is a warship escorted by mini fleet.
It houses 60 ships as stated by Pompeii, probably smaller modest sized ships but still a lot of extra firepower.
The attack on the Artemis happened at night. They would've had at least 6 hours to prepare for attack which would probably come in the daytime.
I don't think the fight would be so easy. The strongest military in the world wouldn't abandon their greatest flagship so casually.
Although I see it this way cause its my preferred style of war stories. The gritty, realistic WW1 style of battles where both sides kick the shit out of each other and struggle to get on top. Not the one punch one victory style of superheroes and action movies.
In our scenario, the Azreans and Polslavians, after receiving word of the repairs needed for the Artemis, quickly launch the assault with massive forces outnumbering the Artemis and it's mini fleet 5 to 1. The PRA, in order to keep most of it's spies alive after it was attacked in the night, lay low until a time to strike presents itself.
Time for the Crians to get their hit back.
A massive battle like Jutland might come, since the Crians are sending everything versus the combined forces of Polslavia and Azreans, which also are using their everything.
The Crians aren't such simple foes, the Artemis would never fall so easily.
"Private First Class Cobar of the Crian Alliance, serving in the 19th Infantry Division.
Accounts of the first day for the battle of the Artemis
The Battle of the Scorched Fields
We knew they were coming and we were prepared as well as we could be. We were hit hard though, our ships were outnumbered but damn these cowards we are fighting for our homes! Their gunships and battleships lit the field and our positions up but we never stopped our shooting. Entrenched in foxholes and trenches we surrounded our grand Artemis with a fortified line. Although it felt like every soldier we shot down five more of the bastards would appear. We fought tooth and nail for every inch but they pushed us until we were only a hundred paces from our grounded flagship. Half my squad was dead and the rest of us were wounded in one way or another. The squad never lost hope though, and once those glorious rockets flew from the Artemis we knew we were saved."
Few knew about Agent Blue previously, after the Battle of the Scorched Fields everyone knew about Agent Blue. The Polslavians, Azreans, PRA, and NWLA forces bunched up around the surrounded Artemis thinking victory was near, they were so wrong. 50,000 Polslavian Naval Infantry, 25,000 Elite Azrean Marines, 100,000 PRA rifle infantry, 20,000 NWLA coalition troops, and many crewmen and crewwomen from all confederate nations, nearly every single one dead.
Agent Blue was a nerve gas, thick, heavy, and incredibly deadly. It would blind someone within a few seconds, burn their skin in a dozen seconds, and destroy their lungs within minutes. It takes an advanced gasmask or an oxygen tank to survive being in the gas(or extreme luck). It was specially reserved for a hard and heavy battle. The Battle of the Scorched Fields was that battle. The Confederacy didn't have advanced gasmasks for their troops. Gas attacks were never used on a large scale, only the Crians were prepared.
The rockets landed in a circle around the Artemis. The thick gas quickly spread across the field. Confusion and chaos erupted across Confederacy lines. Soldiers were helpless, crawling on the field, coughing up blood and covering the field with bodies. Landship and tank crews suffocated as the gas flowed through the cracks in the armor and the ventilation systems. Some vehicles didn't have a single dent but were disabled all the same. Within a hour of the rocket strike more than 98% of Confederacy ground forces were dead or dying. The Soldivs now all alone were easy pickings for the masked crews of the Artemis. High in the sky the Confederacy airships were helpless to save their comrades on the ground. The Artemis counter attacked with its 60 reserved ships along with reinforcements from a nearby fleet. The Confederacy was forced on a full retreat. Leaving behind a mass grave of soldiers and a field of landships with dead crews.
The Crians were shocked at their weapons effectiveness. Stopping a mass infantry force in one sweep was game changing. They wasted little time in reinforcing the positions around the Artemis and occupying the surplus of former enemy landships. With fleet reinforcements now here they were confident. The Artemis represented hope and as long as the Crian banner flew from it men were inspired to fight to the bitter end.
Or we can step this all back a bit and redo it
k den. Looks like crap is going bad since they have TWO superweapons....
Well, I'm just going to step it back a bit.
So, after the Artemis is grounded... ah, screw it. They probably have a counter to the Gorduma too... and suspendium missiles.... and a nuke or something.... bah. I might as well try, along with a new Polslavian ally.
Tell me if I need to change anything.
Polslavia's closest ally, Kulslavia, (it's the massive continent right below the ICF) begins to rally forces to help the NWLA, PRA, Azreans, and Polslavians. These people are basically the "big sister" to the Polslavians. Both of the nations support each other, whether it be resources or an invasion. So, it comes to no surprise that they both had been working together to build a super weapon for the defense of Polslavia, since it's relatively close to invading forces and potential threats, and it is outnumbered 10 to one on almost all sides when it comes to military, unlike Kulslavia, which has the numbers and Polslavian Technology, along with more advanced military doctrine. This would be known as the "Braveztovnav", a massive robot (Polslavia loves it's robots, if you didn't see already) that hulks over even the Artemis. It is immune to any practical weapon capable of hitting it, and utilizes several gun turrets on the shoulders, body, and head. The most prominent feature is the arms: These are used for completely annihilating whatever stands in it's way, be it airships (cough cough Artemis cough cough) , dreadnoughts, even small mountains if needed. The weapon was developed in complete secrecy as a "statue", and, once finished, was placed in the Polslavian fields as a "statue for the friendship of the Slavs". Most spies from all nations just shrugged, thinking "Oh, a statue." It is commanded by only 400 men, despite the huge size. What it lacks in man power it makes up for in technological devices for it. Three Massive Computers, one in the head, two in the body, control most pistons and gyros, reload and ready cannons, and compute the range from one place to another. It can even tell the weather, activate repairing systems, and locate threats. The crew compartments are protected by double-layered armored hulls to prevent serious crew damage, and with ventilating systems to repel chemical weapons. All possibilities are took into mind when developing this giant, from an army to a entire nation. This weapon was developed to protect Polslavia from an invading nation, ready to go at a moments notice. All crew on board are ethnic Polslavians, each being extremely powerful and brave officers, each having had earned hundreds of medals and awards in past wars.
So far, no other nation has known of the giant machine, mainly because it looks to just be a dang statue in the outskirts of the Polslavian Capital. However, there was a catch to it: The Polslavians had to give up the Gorduma to the Kulslavians. The Polslavians accept, seeing as other nations know that Polslavia has the Gorduma, and know what to shoot at if a war against the Slavs would happen, not to mention Kulslavia doesn't have any super weapons.
I'm soon to make a picture for the Braveztovnav, and the Soldiv-IV picture should come today.
Kulslavia: What it is and it' s power
Kulslavia is the continent below the ICF, and is another Slav country like Polslavia. These guys are the best friend, of sorts, to Polslavia. Kulslavia is gigantic compared to Polslavia, and has a vaster military and better military doctrine. Both nations share the same technology, most the time. Both nations support each other, whether it be resources, a political dispute, an infestation of giant spiders, reinforcements in a war, dragons, krakens, anything that would pester a nation. If Polslavia needs resources, they would probably buy it from their friend. If Kulslavia wants to buy a new weapon, they would most likely buy it from their friend. If one is in a war, the other comes in to support the other. In military doctrine, they are much more advanced than Polslavia, with massed forces and strong armored units, to fast armored attacks and airborne strikes. They also have a much larger navy, utilizing around 20 battleships, 13 Carriers, 60 Submarines, 120 cruisers, and almost 500 destroyers. In the air, they also have a massive airfleet. So far, Kulslavia has a mighty military, along with a vast amount of resources. It adopts a government just like Polslavia: Ethnic Kulslavian noblemen and mighty warriors are in the government command.
Here it is, the Soldiv-IV. Do note my phone is absolute cherynobl bear poop.
Er, are you sure you linked it correctly? The link seems to be broken...
I'm pretty sure I did, it's working fine for me.
Is it working for you now?
For whatever reason... It's not working for me, no...
Hmmm....Try logging out and back in, in a different tab.
fatpiglet i want you to ram the annie valor into the artemis sometime in the last battle
Ey, look! You are back! Lel
Not for long.
Awww.. Where u going?
Er... Poslava... Are you sure you simply can't embed the picture on the forum?
Here u go.
Do note my phone is still flaming cherynobl bear poop on a stick.
Does it work for you guys? It works fine for me.
You know what? We need a name for the massive ocean between the New and Old World. I'm gonna go with the Great Sea, 'cause it's, well, the Great Sea.
You do realize that by the time this was built that the Artemis would already have taken over the Empire? By the time of which the Condederacy would also have fallen... And how shall the Bravestovnav cross the Great Sea to the Motherland? On a boat, it will be shot down.
Wait, WAT? I thought the Artemis and the current war were about 30 YEARS from the Battle of The Burning Seas! Not 5 or 6 years. Maybe, for the sake of this, should it be around 15-20 years after The Battle of The Burning Seas, so that "nations such as the Crian empire could rebuild after said battle". Also, it would probably cross by the more shallow zones of the Great Sea, probably by the zone between Kulslavia and the Azrean Empire. It's okey if we can't extend the time period between the Battle of The Burning Seas, but I would very much like it.
Also, I've started drawing the Bravestovnav, which is nice.
the gustav departed for the PRA a few days after the burning seas. The confederacy was formed a week after. And the war began as soon as the confederacy was formed- which dragged on for a few months at most based on the text. The only reason we were able to damage the crians so much was because they were weakened, and the Third Empire took that as a chance to attack...
Well then. That changes things up a tad bit. Do you mind if I edit the Bravestovnav history so it goes with ours currently? I don't want to be a jerk by just changing things at random.
The Story of Bravestovnav Part I:Born from the Heart of the Slav People
The Kulslavian and Polslavian government began development of this massive super weapon as a end to the Denzow Strait border conflicts. The PRA, although not as technologically advanced as the Polslavia, had much vaster numbers and better offensive tactics to make up for it. An invasion could easily wipe out Polslavia and it's vast trade markets. So, Kulslavia, Polslavia's best ally and trading partner, made a suggestion to the newly elected Prime Minister Vladislav Khalkyn for a new super-weapon of massive proportions. Polslavian generals approved the idea, since although Polslavian defences were some of the best, they would need to halt an invader at the first step to staunch an invasion. It would cost an astronomical sum, however. Nearly $12,000,000 in Polslavian Roubles, 100 Soldiv-I bis robots, and the battleships Marat and Deztow. This was met with slight distaste in the Polslavian Soviet. A massive sum for a possibly failed machine? This was overruled, however, by Prime Minister Vladislav Khalkyn. They had to try before it was too late. So, the plan was launched. Factories in Kulslavia and Polslavia began to build parts. The shell of the machine, such as the hull and legs, were completed in nearly 2 years. The arms came next, with both being completed besides mechanical components in 1 year and a half. Next came the mechanical parts and hardware, from tiny servos and gears to massive cogs and joints. The massive Ostevka-XXI Steam Cores, two to be precise, were constructed. One of These could power a small city, all shoved into a massive war robot. Then came the Phozka cannons. These are massive red-hot laser cannons, capable of melting through any ship it would meet. Along with this came the defensive guns; 12 Battleship turrets on the shoulders, each mounting two 305 mm guns. Other "small" guns consists of ten 250 mm guns, heaps of anti-aircraft guns dotting the structure, and the massive arms, capable of swatting massive airships from the skies. The armor is near impenetrable, able to resist a massive Tsunami without even budging, or the entire Crian navy. The actual building of the machine came after 5 years of building and developing new technologies for the giant machine, in a factory called Kul'zavol, a Kulslavian factory. In order to prevent sabotage, Polslavia bought the factory temporarily, to give it back after it was built. Spies tried getting in, but failed, since Polslavian Spy Laws and the Spy Embassy prevented spy business inside the factory. After the shell was made, all parts and systems installed, and the machine built, (in a time of 2 years, hot dang) the factory roof opened up to have a massive robot rise from it, like an ancient deity from the beginning of time. People in the city by it, the city of Zavol, stared in awe as a titan of unimaginable power rose from the factory and took it's first steps into the ocean. Generals from the PRA, Crian Empire, Azrean Empire, and other nations trembled as the giant shook the very ground they stood on. The air shook and shuddered with the sound of the massive steam cores. The Polslavian Prime Minister stood on the bridge, observing below while it was piloted by the Kuztov (A rank for the giant machine, practically a general). It walked from Kulslavia to Korono, Korono to Polslavia. The Bravestovnav had been born, from the very heart of the Slav People.
Soon, I am going to finish the picture of the Bravestovnav, it's going good so far.
so this is big enough to walk in the ocean? you do realize that an ocean is several miles deep right?
It would cross the more shallow Denzow Strait, which thankfully, unlike the Great Sea, is hardly around 300 feet.
The Stature of Liberty here in NYC is a little more than 300 feet tall, torch and all. I'm expecting that the Bravestovnav has crossed waist up and not head up, so it is at least taller than Lady Liberty?
Yes, most definitely. It was designed to cross the Denzow, so height is a priority, along with heavy weapons and city-crushing capabilities.
The Statue of Liberty was built by French sculptor Auguste Bartholdi, with the help of tons of workers working ten hour days, seven days a week for nine years
And the last time I checked Lady Liberty doesn't have city-destroying weapons...
Realistically the Bravestovnav would take more than ten years to build, seeing that it's bigger than the stature and also fit with extremely complex things, such as a few targeting computers and motors that enable the legs to move, which not only should take enormous amounts of coal but would not support that weight, as the Bravestovnav, as I expect, isn't a hollow bronze statue. It's most likely something heavier and thicker than the material used for Lady Liberty, right? Could you provide a list of traits that the Bravestovnav has?
It would help me greatly estimating the amount of time needed to construct it.
The Bravestovnav stands about 750 feet tall, made to pass the Denzow Strait (sorry, misspelled the depth. It's about 500, I was really tired before I went to sleep, had to make sumfin for it, sorry.) and is made of Polslavian Armor.
PA, or Polslavian Armor, is used in three types:Infantry, Armor, and Expiremental. It's very light and easy to produce, and extremely effective. The massive machine utilizes two Steam Cores of the Ostevka-XXI Type, capable of powering a small city each, which is nice. These were originally designed to power the city of Odessa. Still, I can see your point. It would take more than 10 years, if being being built by one factory. But, the Bravestovnav had parts being built in several different factories, to get rid of the time usually needed for such a massive machine. For the machine, it would take about 10 years to build. 4 years for the outside, 3 for the inside, and 3 for actually putting it together. For guns, it would mount 12 240 mm guns, two in each turret on the shoulders. With that, comes the anti-aircraft guns on the Dorsal Tower, situated above the hull. I'm almost done with the Bravestovnav drawing, it's looking good.
Lady Liberty was also built in different pieces. I think that something would take 20 years to construct. Even today I don't think there is an energy source able to power an entire city, so that isn't realistic. 750 feet is taller than the Eiffel Tower, might want to change that.
For building the Bravestovnav, the parts were being built in 4 Factories in Polslavia, and 10 factories in Kulslavia. I can understand it taking more than 20 years to build, though. Maybe I should have the Deztow conflict farther back than 20 years? Would make sense will all the events having had happened by then... However, I'm gonna keep it at 750 feet in height, since the Deztow Strait, in which it was designed to march across, is around 500 feet deep. For the Steam Cores, I see your point. Maybe I will make a new power source, like some other fuel or something.
I have finally finished the Bravestovnav, and here it is!
Er... Poslava? None of your images are appearing...
wat?? They appear perfectly for me!
I have literally no idea why it's not working but it simply isn't... Is it working for anyone else?
Hmmm... I've never bothered to ask. Is it working for anyone else?
mhm.... respawn, see if signing in by another account helps.
Nope doesn't work...
hmmm... What does it show instead of the image?
There's this weird little blue box thingy that says "Image".
You can right click it and select the open image in new tab option.
Yeah, it's broken for me too, says "url signature expired". Use something like imgur to host the images?
Imgur has a forum/discussion link to pics that works
I'll just link it den, that always works!
mind checking my fleet thread to see if my pictures work? It's somewhere in the shipyard section
So, does this work? :D
no, you used the link format. put a ! in front of the [
Yas, I know I used the link. It's so dat everyone else can see it! :D
you do know the image format works right?
Oh so now it's working? >-<
im talking about the imgur link...
Check the post formating help...
it really doesnt help... it just tells you the format, most links don't work. The ones I know work are imgur and facebook, though facebook might actually not work for alot of people
If it's in Brackets [ ** ] it appears on the site as Text.
It it's in pararenthesis ( ** ) it's a Link.
Links require "http://" or appropriate protocol.
yeah, I figured that out after several failed attempts
The Clash of Worlds (New world vs Old World) began after the Artemis approached Polslavia. Having Polslavia cut off would mean resources and units from the New World couldn't fuel the frontline in the Azrean Empire. The Artemis reached the south end of Polslavia, with little resistance, surprisingly. They were about to round the Tol Mountain when the air began to shake. Slowly, a massive figure revealed itself from behind the mountain, coming in to bash to Artemis to bits. A massive hand moved fast and menacingly from above, about to knock the Artemis.
It was the Bravestovnav. Before the Artemis reached Polslavia, defense lines were shut down on the flank in which the Artemis was to arrive, in order for many lives and defense lines to be saved. Now, the best men from all over Polslavia, ranging from elite captains and brave, valiant patriots marched into the belly of the beast to defend. Once a small sloop spotted the Artemis, a radio message was sent to the Commissar of the Bravestovnav, telling him that "The clouds are shaking". The massive machine took to behind one of the mountains, waiting for the Artemis to either pass or to crush it. So began the Clash of Worlds. The Bravestovnav bashed the giant airship from above, breaking in the forward section and destroying the larger cannons. It sent the Artemis flying down, it crashing just to get up again and circle around the Bravestovnav. The remaining guns pelted at the giant, with many doing little. The automatic fire control systems opened up shortly after, carpeting the flank with shell fire and ricochets. Several shots penetrated, however. A few from the larger guns exploded two of the ammunition stores for the larger 240 mm guns, sending two of the turrets flying, them crashing below soon after. This, combined with a successful ram into the side that followed, gashed off the entire left arm. The remaining turrets responded, targeting the Artemis in the gaping hole on the front, and the remaining cannons. No one was doing much to each other, until the Artemis began to try to ram the Bravestovnav. Before it could however, the remaining hand began to glow an bright red, it emitting the light until it exhumed it's payload. It struck through the massive airship, melting through most of the ship's front. The bridge, suspendium chambers, and engines were destroyed, followed by a massive explosion by the ammunition storage. It crashed into the ground below, uplifting earth and a small barn. The Artemis had fallen, and the Clash of Worlds had ended in less than an hour.
You know that the Artemis's current path is an unchangeable course set for Azare, right? The entire ship's movement has already been set to AI mode. 75% of the entire Crian fleet is with it, as well.
Maybe they would change course? Cutting off reinforcements from the New World would be crucial. And in order not to jeopardize the mission, they would use maybe a few supporting cruisers to accompany it, so a massive gaping hole in the Crian defences isn't opened.
I think that the Confederacy would actually be a higher threat than the new world nations...
Hmm.. I can see your point. But in case the confederacy was encircled or something of the sort, if they could cut off supply and reinforcement routes from the New World, it would give the Crian Empire a massive upper hand.
Polslavian Government and Ideologies: Councils, Ideas, and what they think of the other nations
The Polslavian Government is made of the High Council. This is not one, but Three councils, or "Soviets". A Soviet controls specific things, such as the Military, Diplomatic actions, and civil actions. The Soviet's names are: The Militant Soviet, for the military, the People Soviet, for civil actions with the people, and the Diplomacy Soviet. These all connect by one person, the Polslavian Prime Minister. A Prime Minister is chosen after one dies, elected by the people in a 3-day election. Polslavian Prime Ministers are always Ethic Polslavian Noblemen, such as a well-seasoned and loved General, or a Noble man that has helped the people for many years. They are also very smart, kind and wise intellectuals.` Each Soviet helps each other out, too. If the Militant Soviet wants to build a new ship, then they work with the People Soviet. If the Diplomacy Soviet wants to form an alliance with a nation, then they cooperate with the Militant Soviet to support them. All decisions, however, revolve around the Prime Minister, unless it's something tiny, like stolen food from the office refrigerator (lol).
Polslavia's ideologies is to simply coexist with other nations, and live peacefully and remain as a massive trading hub. When it comes to other nations, they usually help them out if they need something. If one nations wants a new ship, Polslavia will probably build it. If one nation needs resources, Polslavia will usually send them over. Even if Polslavia has had a war with a nation, they will usually help rebuild that said nation. Polslavia is a forgiving nation, hoping to make love, not war.
Polslavia sees the PRA as something a tiny bit lower than a friend, mainly because of a possible invasion from the nation. (The Denzow Strait conflict II, but much more red.) They see the ICF as something like themselves, small but somewhat strong nations striving to live, hence the lack of wars between the two. They see Korono as a powerful neighbor, one that you can invite over to watch a movie or to a party. They see Irem as a friend, sending them supplies for building and creating their crafts. They see the Third Azrean Empire as something to help out when in need, such as supplies or the war with the Crians. And Finally, they see the Crians as a vast trading partner and ally, before the war.
Hey, did the forum just die? I think it did. It's been very silent...
well, yeah, piglet and I aren't postine
The assault on the Crian Frontline: Pushing back the steel wall
The assault came on an early winter morning, in the frontline of the Crian offensive. It started with the air cracking, like if the clouds had teared apart. It was nearly a thousand Azrean, Confederate, PRA, and Polslavian artillery guns and mortars carpeting the frontline for the assault to come. Shortly after, a massed fleet of armored walkers and airships marched towards the lines. Two rockets flew overhead, crashing into the ground before a blue gas poured out. The toxic gas was expected to have devastating effects, but surprisingly, it did nothing besides make the walkers and tanks move slower.Turns out the PRA agents in the Crian high council had gotten a tip about the Agent Blue, and informed army groups and technology developers about it. They devised a clever system to repel said gas, input into Soldiv, tank, airship, and walker alike to stop the gas from doing it's work. Countless lives were saved by this invention. Shortly after the gas attack, they reached fortifications arrayed along a mountain side. Massed guns of large calibers, machine gun bunkers, artillery batteries, flame thrower pillboxes, and everything else opened fire on the armored formation approaching the system, known as Coalition-21. This comprised of mostly Azrean and PRA units, with Polslavian heavy tanks and land battleships in between. Many armored units fell to the barrage of fire, such as older tanks and walkers. The formation returned fire, cracking open several bunkers and pillboxes. The group split up, going around the mountain to sweep fortifications up. Many more armored units fell, too. This included older land dreadnoughts and several assault ships, along with two battleships. However, once all the bunkers had either surrendered or were destroyed, they set up to defend the bulge in the Crian frontline from the reserves. They came in with several battleships and land battleships, with a massive force of infantry, 100,000 strong. What followed would be a massive battle that would last a week, for the mountains overlooking the frontline. All ships, from Polslavian, Azrean, and the PRA duked it out against Crain ships. Walkers and tanks charged into the opposing side, land battleships pummeling each other from a distance. Soldiers on the ground fought to the bitter end, sometimes in the small town by the mountains, other in the vast forest. Machine gun fire and cannons echoed through the ground, the hum of engines and suspendium drives above. The battleship Polsla, perhaps the most advanced Polslavian capital ship to date, began to duke it out with the Crian battleship Prideful and her escort cruiser, the Proud. The Crian battleship attacked first, sending volley of fire into the front on the massive ship. The Polsla responded with one of Phozka type cannons, a Model II (it's much smaller than a Model I) cutting through the upper turrets, disabling two. The secondary guns proceeded, pelting the ship, but doing little against. The Crain cruiser began to turn for a ramming attempt, but failed once the Polsla turned to face the cruiser. The Proud shattered into a million bits when it hit the battering ram of the Polsla, sending crew and guns alike flying. It then began to rip apart the Prideful with another salvo from the Phozka-II cannons. The front end crashed into the ground, with it landing softly in order to abandon ship. The Polsla then rejoined the main forces. Soon, in a week, the mountains were under Azrean, Polslavian, and PRA control. They would continue to be the main staging ground until the end of the war.
Tell me if I need to edit anything.
It can be the main staging ground, yes, but I imagine by the time anti-gas units arrived at the Motherland the Artemis would have already put an end to the mountain battleground.
The Mountain offensive, or Operation Lordful, happened AFTER the artemis fought the Bravestovnav.
The artemis never fought the bravestovnav...
??? I made it above...
And I countered it above...
I pointed out why they would attack Polslavia, and leave the major fleet behind. They won't send the whole fleet since 1: Polslavia is too weak to withstand one that size, and 2: to give the Artemis some stealth for the mission. Another point I forgot to mention is that they would leave it behind to defend the frontline. They would attack Polslavia since it is a major hub in the supply routes to the frontline against the Crians. This would make taking out Polslavia a major objective, kind of like attacking France to secure a foothold in Europe, or maybe Britain, to cut off supply lines to other European nations. And in our case, they did.
And I pointed out that the AI had taken over the piloting...
They would most definitely have a override. Although the Confederacy was a major target, it's easier to starve a man than to fight him. Even if they could still ferry in supplies, it most likely wouldn't be enough.
Your argument is not very valid. Despite what you might think no big nation would attack a nation as weak as Polslavia over a higher, more durable threat if they believe they can defeat both. The only thing that Polslavia is supplying are troops, and I would imagine that by the time the Bravestovnav was finished they would already have their entire military deployed based on the 15,000 deployed every day (or was it week?)
I imagine that Polslavia has a quite small population compared to the Azreans. Polslavia is mainly a defensive state, they don't put much research and funding into offense. Meanwhile, the Third Empire has been actively conquering nearby nations for the past few years, which means their entire military has been in the heat of battle recently, and is a heavily militaristic state. I can't see a possibility of the Artemis prioritizing attacking the low-threat Polslavia over the high-threat confederacy, especially when the Empire is both closer and the Crians have spies actively functioning there.
The Azrean Empire is not currently importing much supplies from Polslavia, or anywhere in the New World. Their interaction has been recent and not many important trade deals would have been established yet, leaving the main supplier in the Empire to be the Empire itself. Cutting off minor supplies wouldn't do much, considering that the Empire has been able to live off itself and itself alone for as long as it's been existing.
Imagine how much money PsyPsyche Designs has made in this time.
You make money off of that?
Fair enough, I see your point. Imma redo the battle between the Bravestovnav and Artemis and Operation Lordful. Expect it soon.
Operaation Lordful:The war to change the world
-Operation Lordful began it's planning stage just minutes after the Artemis was launched and began attacking the Azreans. What they thought was to start a massed cooperative force against a vital strong point in the Crian frontline, this to be the Lordful Mountains (hence the name). The nations to act in Operation Lordful would be the Third Azrean Empire (obviously) the PRA, Polslavia, and if needed, Korono. It took four months to build up forces and transport armored units into position for the assault. Soon, nearly 2,000 armored units of various kinds were massed 100 kilometers from the mountains. This, combined with the Bravestovnav, posed a nearly indestructible force. Nearly. Soon, the battles of Lordful would commence, a massive duel between the Crian Artemis fleet and the massed forces under the mountain.
The Bravestovnav arrived by sea, in a massive fleet of Polslavian ships, battleships and all. The fleet was built of 7 Battleships, 4 of the Suznek Class, 2 of the Kevnak class, and 1 of the Aurztav class. It had 21 Cruisers, 16 of the Eztol class, and 5 of the Zevd class defensive cruiser (Anti-air, anti-bunker, anti-submarine). It had four Airship tenders, based off cargo ships. This was a massive force to transport just the Bravestovnav to the Azrean Empire. The fleet never came under attack, thankfully, since the Artemis and other Crian forces were focused elsewhere. Soon, after the Bravestovnav had left it's massive tender ship, the fleet left to Polslavia.
After the Crians had gotten the tip on the massive build up of forces near the frontline, the Crian high-command was given the order to divert the Artemis and the massive fleet to the area, seeing it as an irresistible target to crush opposition. Soon, after a few days, the Artemis Fleet flew over and reached it's target. The Battle of Lordful had began.
The Artemis and Bravestovnav began to duke it out between each other, whilst other armored units and airships fought close by. The Artemis struck first with it's main battery, doing little against the extremely strong armored body and shoulders. These shots did, however, damage the left arm, penetrating the claw systems and disabling them. The Bravestovnav fought back, the secondary battery pelting the hull but with no effect. The left arm, however, bashed the bottom of the Artemis, digging deep into the front of the body. This practically froze the Artemis in place, since having a freaking huge hand big enough to crack an entire cruiser in half is quite the ballast. While the left arm held it steady, the right arm began to grow a bright red... The Phozka gun inside let out it's might. The air cracked around it, with a bright-red beam tearing through the side of the Artemis. The main fire control systems and one of the suspendium chambers were destroyed, with it still on the hand like a massive glove. The Artemis, however, focused on destroying the left arm. Soon, charges were set on the arm, with the ammo bay it was embedded into cut off. The hand was released, and soon, it exploded. The entire hand had been destroyed, with bars and systems still dangling outside the severed joint. With the hand cut off, the Artemis soon tried to bombard the Bravestovnav with the remaining cannons. The main battery fired. They struck the left arm, penetrating the lower segment and destroying operating systems. The bottom left arm segment fell afterward, crashing into Crian armored units, hitting a large landship and destroying it, surprisingly. The Bravestovnav replied, with another Phozka attack into the front. This was to be the final blow for the Artemis. It struck deep into the ammunition storage, blowing up the forward section and heavily damaging the suspendium cores. Two of them fell onto the ground, and soon after, the Artemis crashed into the ground, digging up many walkers and tanks. The neck of the Crian empire had been crushed under it's heel.
Meanwhile, the combined forces of Azrean PRA, and Polslavian units duked it out with the Crians. Landships pummeled each other. Walkers and tanks bombarded one another with fire. Soldiers below fought in close combat, with gunshots echoing across the ground. Airships flew overhead, ramming each other, pelting one another with bullets and shells. Capital ships flew overhead, destroying one another and bashing into smaller ships. The fighting ceased for a short minute, however. The Artemis was falling. Crian units scrambled to get away from underneath it, and airships zoomed overhead to attempt to rescue fleeting crew members. The combined forces took this opportunity to overrun the Crian armed forces, clashing into them at close range. Elite PRA Marines boarded larger ships, capturing them. Polslavian Naval Infantry boarded the land battleship Prestige, taking it over. Soon, the battle had been won. The mountain forces surrendered, and the Crian empire would soon follow.
Please tell me if anything needs editing.
Also, is fatpiglet still online? He hasn't posted in a while.
Pailloads of caltrops,
This is most likely my bad, but Azare is on the Azrean side of the Lordful mountains. I think Piglet said somewhere that the mountains were too tall to cross, so I think that the Crians would have taken a turn around it. In four months the Artemis could have crossed the Great Sea dozens of times.
It's been a while since I posted. I'm going to try to end the Artemis using realistically possible numbers and probabilities.
The Triad of Azare and the Goddess of the Moon
The Triad of Azare was considered the most powerful Azrean force, though impossible to be used on the offensive. The first corner: the Dawnspyre. The massive tower edged into the side of the Lordful Mountains doubled as a powerful fortress, the heart of the Third Azrean Empire. It represents it's fortitude and resilience, and an unbreakable heart.
The second corner: The Annie Valor, Flagship of the entire Azrean Military. It is easily the strongest Azrean ship, boasting fourteen super-heavy cannons which can pierce just about anything. It represents the sword and spear of the Empire, the strongest and sharpest sword of the military.
The third and final corner of the Triad: The Eighteen Gods. Seventeen airships, each capable of destroying three Gloria-21 Dreadnoughts, sail the skies while a huge land fortress, the B-72 Apollo, storms and obliterates everything on the ground. Once it's job is done, the turrets that carpet it's roof point upwards open fire, effectively obliterating everything in the skies. It represents the Empire's iron will, an unmovable fortress and an impenetrable wall.
The three are almost never at the same place at the same time, but this is an exception. Two cities had already been leveled by the Crian fleet, each with functioning Bronzesypres. The Artemis had destroyed the first by itself, and the city fell to an unidentified weapon. There were no survivors in any of them.
The armies of the Empire gathered nervously as gunfire echoed throughout the mountains. They knew that on the west side of the Lordful mountains battle brewed endlessly, the mountains itself were a suicide arena for anyone but the Crians and the Azreans (who have men trained especially for combat in the harsh climates) and to the east... Well, everything they had sent to the east had either been destroyed or captured.
No one would be surprised if the the enemy fleet had a few New World and Confederacy ships with them, piloted not by their original crew but Crian airsailors.
Victory looked impossible. Defeat seemed inevitable. The Artemis had not once been severely damaged, and even the highest-grade missiles sent were shot down or blocked by the surrounding fleet. On top of that, the Artemis seemed to posses the widest range of guns from all corners of the world. Smuggled, probably.
Later into that day, the clouds "began rumbling" and a black swarm was spotted in the horizon. The Airships immediately, every single one of them stationed at Azare and from it's surrounding cities, rose from the ground. Exodus Blimbs rose into the sky, above everyone else, until they were hidden in the dark clouds. The Apollo's hatched opened and thousands of men poured from it's belly, as well as the occasional tank or walker. The hatched built into the Azrean Capital Dreadnoughts opened and small ships flew out, soon to be joined by the Annie Valor which was leaving it's dock at the highest point of the Dawnspyre. Citizens were escorted into the tower, which most likely would be the last bastion for the Empire if the Crians broke through.
No one hoped that would happen.
The silence lasted long. Two massive fleets carpeted the skies. A few hours went back. Many ships arrived from Western and Southern Cities, and to the East the other Confederacy States were rallying their troops.
Out of nowhere, the charred remains of an Exodus Blimb, popped or burned they did not know, tumbled down from the clouds and nearly hit a cluster of Annu Cruisers. All eyes looked up and lights were shown, only to reveal a massive ship, presumably the Artemis, flying through the clouds, above even the famed Blimps. Their grenadiers climbed out of the ship, only to be shot down by the storm of bullets the Artemis shot.
Helpless, the entire fleet watched the Artemis singlehandedly fell the great Boarders of the Azrean Empire, which were filled to the brim with some of it's best men. As soon as the last Exodus fell, the stationary Crian fleet charged forward, tailed by the tiny Confederacy Fleet. The land battle lasted a fair while, the Anti-Land ships and Tanks and Walkers dishing it out, but it's victor was inevitably the Confederacy and allies. Azare's high walls carpeted the ground with fire, quickly putting an end to the Crian land forces.
The Air Battle, unfortunately, did not go so well. Almost immediately after the land battle was won, the Artemis descended from it's previous bombing position, out of ammo, and began obliterating the enemy forces. It was described as a porcupine; there was not one side that was not covered with weapons, and it dealt destruction to all. But the point where all seemed lost was when the Third Legion, arguably the largest and oldest fleet in the Azrean Military, engaged the Artemis without backup.
"Let us buy time for the Dawn," was all the leading Commander, one rank short of Emperor, said to the military as his fleet left the ranks and surrounded the Artemis.
They were going to, anyways. The Artemis's front hull opened up to reveal a great cannon. It began to glow red for a moment, and just as the Third Legion was about to surround it, fired. A missile, quick and furious, blasted from the barrel with such force it threw the Artemis back a few meters. The result was a large fireball, effectively incinerating the entire Third Legion at point-blank range.
Nothing fell from that area of sky except for the ashes of the ships.
But it had been enough. Unseen to the Artemis, the Third Legion had been blocking the view of the Annie Valor. It flew strait into the gigantic ship, bronze rams ripping into the hull. Men poured from the ship and entered the Artemis, where a fierce battle would brew in the heart of the enemy. The Annie Valor pulled away moments later, but not before filling the hull of the Artemis with it's full broadside.
And once the Annie pulled away, it revealed yet another weapon. It was dawn already, and the sun faced the Dawnspyre. The tip began to glow blue, and suddenly a spear of electricity shot out towards the Artemis. It went right through the ship, leaving a hole. It wasn't fatal, or even severe enough to be a bother, but it had done it's job; opening a path through the armor that the Fleet had such a hard time dealing with.
The United fleets responded almost immediately. All attacks were directed to the insides of the Artemis when possible, and others shot wherever they could.
Ironically enough, the last shot was not made by the Confederacy or anyone from the New World.
One of the Capital ships of the Crian Empire had broken through the west side, and opened fire as soon as it saw the battle. It was suspected that it's bullets eventually found a vital spot somewhere in the Artemis as it got closer and closer, because after the battle and intercepted radio transmission from the Capital ship said "Friendly Fire! Watch where you're shooting!" moments before the Artemis went down. It crashed into the ground, the shockwave causing a small earthquake.
The most powerful ship on that battlefield now, was undoubtedly the Annie Valor, which lead the remaining 4/10ths of the Air fleet to victory.
That's pretty good, Pompeii. May I suggest trying to merge it with Operation Lordful?
Sorry, but the thing I typed up is already 300 letters close to the 8k cap and the Artemis would have already gotten to Azare by the time the Bravestovnav got to the Empire...
Wouldn't it take a bit more than the week needed to transport the Bravestovnav than to overrun the defenses of the 3rd Azrean Empire, albeit with a massive fleet and giant airship?
If you take a look at the map and the number of days it takes to cross the Great Sea, then it is possible, especially because the Artemis was already at the border by the time anyone saw it. It can travel above the clouds, remember?
Huh... fair enough. Maybe we should have a preceding conflict BEFORE the artemis set sail? Would make sense, to distract Azrean reinforcements from heavier defense from the Artemis.
The Artemis was launched immediately after Polslavia carpet bombed the Crians... Is that not reason enough to deploy their superweapon?
Oh wait, I forgot.... well. that makes sense. I'll try to make something so the Bravestovnav can see a fight.
The Artemis can get to Azare before the Bravestovnav gets even to the Empire. I don't think it'll make it in time...
Well, darn. It withstood a kinetic gun, has 50,000 soldiers to defend it from the inside, is a porcupine of guns, and can fly from one end of the old world to the other in less than a week. How on earth are we supposed again?
As I said, Azare is on the bottom of the Lordful mountains on the Azrean side. It's really not that far from the Crian Empire....
I like being realistic, the Artemis is an airship and it is both closer to Azare and faster than the Bravestovnav. Especially considering two giant legs are actually tremendously inefficient and would probably go off balance the moment one leg lifted off the ground... And considering that the robot has to wade through an entire ocean, water which will slow down movement by a whole lot. Not to mention that there can't be a single hole, no matter how small, in the bottom parts of the Bravestovnav- how will the lower crew breathe?
And guns submerged by water will be holes for water to flow into. If the armor is resistant to the biological weapons then there will be no holes anywhere, right? How will people inside breathe and see their enemy? Only Crians have radios and windows are easily shattered. The barrel of a gun must open up to somewhere inside the ship to reload it. Automated re-loaders haven't been invented yet, I believe.
If you want, I can explain how the Artemis is realistically possible in accord with the rules of Zark's world?
I'm sorry if I'm coming across as catty. I am just frustrated that you don't take into account reality when you're thinking of your creations.
The vast majority of the Bravestovnav can, as we both see, can go in water. However, depending on how deep the water is, this matters on what guns remain operational. The maximum depth is just above the secondary sponson cannons just below the bridge. If the water you must wade is deeper, then of will cross over the water via the Tender ship. This is a large carrier-like transport capable of transporting the Bravestovnav over massive amounTs of water, or to conduct short repairs, like a replacement toe, or a finger, maybe a turret. I plan on doing a rundown On Polslavia and it's weapons, but I got to do some things IRL. My mother, sadly, passed away. It's gonna take some time.
I am terribly sorry for how long I have been gone, a lot of things have happened, so, yeah..... here is that revision of Polslavia I promised. Here we go!
Polslavia is a Island Nation the Size of Poland off the coast of the PRA
that is built upon it's trading monopoly in the New and Old worlds, with the Port city of Odessa and the mainland acting as a endless trade power house in the worlds. It uses this vast trade output to fund the building of the nation, and to build new and advanced weapons other nations have never seen before. One such example is the Bravestovnav, a titanical robot that dwarfs almost any ship, with immense firepower and great armor, but slow speed. The nation has a 3 branch government that all reports to the Prime Minister, Vladislav Kalkhyn at the time of this post. The Polslavian Nation also has the spy embassy, a Embassy for spies all over the world to stay and report, as long as they don't sabotage or do any spy business against Polslavia. This overview will seek to secure the Nation of Polslavia on a firm ground in realism and game-based systems.
Part I, Technology: Polslavia is one, if not the, best nation with technological advancements and modern, advanced equipment anywhere in the entire world. It has a military based around this technological strength, helping to defend the nation. It is about the size of Poland, with the PRA as it's neighbor, and one of the many reasons for Polslavia's technological wisdom (Denzow Strait Conflicts, mainly). An example of Polslavian Technology is the first Soldiv: Like a robot, a walker, and a soldier, but by technical terms, none of the above. Unlike a robot with a 1-piece mind, the Polslavians decided it would be simpler to have a 3-piece mind, with each mind communicating with one another and functioning effectively, much like a standard walker or tank crew. This, combined with the sturdy frame it is built on, makes it a highly effective combat weapon, with just a handful (25 Soldiv-IV's staunching nearly 150 Crian soldiers and 4 walkers during the Battle of Chuztok.) The Soldiv-IV is the most common Polslavian weapon, with nearly 10,000 having been built. It has several weapons: The standard assault rifle, with a 75 round magazine and moderate fire rate, the Anti-armor cannon, either a 25 mm Autocannon with a 20 round drum and high penetration capability, the short mortar, a 85-mm Mortar gun with a short barrel, low arc, and a large splash damage, the Chainsaw, for mutilating troops, the Flamethrower type, for removal of whatever is over there, and am auto rifle gun, with a 50 round magazine, and burst fire. It also can be upgraded very easily, with armor, steam cores, fire-fighting systems, and even body parts being fully removable in minutes. The Soldiv is designed to last a long time, too. No replacement needed! Polslavia also has a sizeable air navy force. They have one of the most advanced Capital ships, too. The Polsla class is a massive Airship, utilizing advanced Suspendium cores and powerful main armament, the Phozka-II, a lighter, smaller version of the first. It out flies almost any other capital ship in the world, and can tear other capital ships to shreds with it's main guns. It also has Polslavian Aeronaught Armor, for protecting large ships with light weight. The Polslavian Navy has a few tricks up it's sleeve, too. They have the General Evol Class battleship, a massive battleship with eight 400-mm fast firing cannons, arranged in four turrets. It has two turrets side-by-side on the front, and two turrets side-by-side on the rear. Armor, however, is a Polslavian secret. It was shot at by 86 900-mm Torpedoes, another General Evol Class, 500 152 mm coastal shells, and was shot at by a Suspendium Missile, with a direct hit. These did nothing to the ship besides dent the armor slightly. However, it is pretty slow, only capable of 25 knots in the sea. There are rumors, of course, of a secret walking machine being developed. It is said to be around 20 feet tall, and weighs approximately 80 tons.
Part II, Polslavian Government:The Branches of the government in Polslavia are all revolving around the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister is like a Super-president, controlling all the 3 branches, or in Polslavia, Soviets. There are 3 Soviets: The Militant Soviet, for the armed forces, the People Soviet, for money, civil actions, police, etc, and Diplomatic Soviet, for diplomatic purposes.
Part III, Polslavian Culture and it's people: Polslavia has a slavic-like culture. It has buildings reminiscent of Tsarist Russia, with grand towers and churches adorning the cities, and smaller brick houses surrounding them like stepping stones. One of the most popular foods is the Cheburek. Yep. The people themselves are hardy but kind people, kinda like Canada, So I;ve been told. Poverty is quite low, and the Civil Services (Police, Firemen, etc) are quite good at their job. The most valued people below nobles are the people that make food, since you know, obvious reasons.
Part IV, Polslavia and it's thoughts on other nations: In all honesty, Polslavia just wants to survive and prosper. No conquering or invading is really wanted. That's why most it's weapons are defensive. Anyways, they think of monarchy ruled nations as trustworthy allies, and much simpler and trustworthy ones at that. Most monarchies never change their thoughts on affairs, so they don't have to worry about any major things from them that they don't know. For democratic nations, they are mostly wary of. Thoughts and opinions can change in seconds, and they can go from a peaceful state to a war-mongering nation, kind of like how the USA was able to after Pearl Harbor (Remember December 7th, 1941.). This is also why the Denzow Strait brigade was formed, for defense of the entire strait. (PRA uses a democracy system, right? Please correct me if I am wrong.) It thinks of the people of several nations, too. For starters, they think of the people in the PRA as simple, trustworthy and hardy people. For the Third Azrean Empire, they think of them as a noble and intelligent people. For fellow slavs, they see them as brethren in arms, accepting them as one of their own.
Part V, History of Modern Polslavia: The Modern Polslavian Government appeared after the Vul-Polslav war. It was a war against the Polslavian People and the treacherous Vul Monarchy, people thrown into power by Old World Empires to try to seize the knowledge and prosperity of the three olden Polslav "tribes". The Vul Monarchy was the only and last Monarchy to ever have the Polslavian Lands under their thumb. They ruled by fear-mongering and lying to the people,a and had people that opposed them "disappear", like a special someone we all know and love or else. (Cough cough stalin cough cough) What happened is that the first Polslavian Prime Minister, Maksim Azkenovka, rallied the people and the military to band together and fight the Vul Monarchy. They swiftly gained support, spreading the truth and wisdom, along with the true promise of unification, across the nation, banding almost everyone (besides the Vul Monarchy, their buddies in the Old World, and supporters) under a single Red Star on a white background and between two Red rectangles. This would soon become the Polslavian National Flag, and the original the "Unification Band". The Vul Palace was invaded by the armed forces sporting heavy walkers and older ships, and the Vul Royal Family Burned. All their supporters fled the city of what is now Chuztok, and the Vul Palace was demolished. A new, Polslavian building was built, the Vezkanovka, where the government is now stationed. The 3 regions were united, and became one thing. Polslavia.
ok... I should do this too, no?
The Third Azrean Empire- "The Mighty"
Chapter One- History
The Third Azrean Empire rose from the ashes of the Second by using the vast resources left behind to not develop their government, quality of life, or even the Second Empire's famous trademark- beautiful gardens in every city that was compared to the forests of the gods even- but their military. Using what little land they had left after the Glorious Revolution, the Third Empire built a mighty fleet. They struck when the iron was hot, when the many revolution's factions was arguing for the land. They reclaimed their old land in a spectacular four years, but they did not stop there. They continued to expand, albeit slowly, across the south and east, taking over the small nations one by one. As they went, they regained little by little the beauty of the Second Empire- their cities began becoming gradually prettier to the eye as they gained a better economy. The bronze Knortas were being mass-produced throughout the Empire, and even then it seemed there was another wealthy merchant to feed or orphanage to fund.
In fact, the Empire's people became so wealthy that the government itself could not make enough money to pay. They shortly built the world-famous Bronzespyres, centers for military, trade, and everything in between. The prosperity of the Empire skyrocketed once again- but even then they still focused heavily on their military. They fended off every single attack from their northern neighbor, the Crian Alliance, with remarkable ease. The Bronzespyres became famous for their defensive capabilities, their landships the pinnacle of fortitude and their airships one of the most powerful.
Chapter Two- Technology
The Azrean Empire's pride and joy is the Annie Valor. It is the largest capital ship in the Empire, of the Dreadnought class, and uses fourteen guns. Seven XXL-Size Gun Classes, two of each. One excels at piercing armor, and one excels at detonations. Each XXL-Size gun in the Empire has its specific purpose, made with excellent synergy. Inexperienced weaponeers are not allowed to man the guns- they must be fired in a specific order. The piercing shells go first, then the explosives once they have gotten close enough to accurately shoot. This has made the Empire's Dreadnoughts one of the most modern and hi-tech ships of the generation, constantly upgraded. It resembles the crescent of the moon, with all the grace and power needed to defeat most enemies one-on-one. With it's light yet sturdy armor, superior guns, and a crew of the most talented individuals in the Empire, the Annie Valor is largely considered one of, if not the, most powerful capital ships in the world.
There is a saying that the Azrean Empire prides itself on- "The Empire loves it's Dreadnoughts." And it is true. All save two of their capital ships and Dreadnoughts. For this reason, the Empire always has the biggest cannons and the best armor. Their weakness is that they treasure their military and refuse to share any technology with others, opting to produce their own ships, guns, and other armaments. Their suspendium is often low-quality, save the occasional capital ship that needs the large crystals to take lift.
Chapter Three- To be Continued
That's pretty cool so far. Maybe Polslavia could sell you suspendium? It has artificial suspendium farms that produce much more pure Suspendium crystals.
As I said, the Empire's military is entirely self-produced. They also have been quite isolated for a long time and would not dare purchase anything as important as a Suspendium Core from anyone outside their mining corporations.
I finished my run-down of Polslavia. You like eet?
I'm also planning a new scenario for a new drawing I made, another Polslavian Secret Weapon.
Another Secret weapon? God, I'm gonna churn these things out too xD
Three days after the Artemis was defeated and it's corpse transferred to Azrean R&D for examination and hopefully reproduction, the Western front was reinforced by several land forces, effectively pushing the previous standstill in favor of the Empire. With supporting fire from the navy, the Western theater was ended and the Crian Empire was drawing near.
The Eastern theater went just as well. The Confederacy forces, along with Azrean Reinforcements, quickly took control of much of the east.
The Crian Empire sent several requests for a peace treaty, but none of them reached Azare. All the transport vessels were shot down before they crossed the Azrean-Crian border.
Knowing that New World nations that participated in the war would no doubt ask for land, the Azrean Empire immediately began constructing Bronzespyres in every city that they conquered. It mattered not if they were not completed: a Bronzespyre is firmly rooted into the ground, making it hard to remove, and as it's one of the symbols of the Azrean Military, Merchant Association, and many other factions, can't be transferred to another nation. Pacification began immediately. Small army divisions marched through the streets of Crian cities, making a huge display of their weapons until the Crian flags were torn down and replaced by Azrean ones.
After months of war, the Capital of the Crian Empire surrendered just before Azrean troops were about to storm the city. In a display of superiority, the king of the Crian Empire was sent to the guillotine and every member of the Crian government sentenced to firing squad. With rapidly decaying morale, the Crian Military was hunted down like lambs and eliminated. In a single year, the Crian Empire, once the most powerful nation, had been wiped off the face of the Earth and another had risen in its place.
It would be nice to have the Crians on equal terms to the Azreans on fighting, so that they wouldn't be swept away so easily. It kinda sounds like they relied too much on the Artemis, once they lost the Artemis, their goes the war. Try making it sounds much more of a stalemate between the Azrean Empire and the Crian Empire.
Remember that the Crians were greatly weakened from the battle with the PRA, also Polslavia carpet bombed them. Don't also forget that 75% of their entire military was defeated or captured with the Artemis in the Battle of Azare.
Also, I'm really getting a bit tired of Polslavia's level of power. I'm not going to hold back: it's extremely unrealistic and overpowered. With all these robots they've been producing, you would think they wouldn't be number 9 on the power rating... And to destroy a capital ship, which is designed to be the toughest ship in a fleet, in a few seconds is something that not even the Artemis can do- are you saying that a tiny nation like Polslavia would be able to surpass the top military power in terms of firepower? I would expect someone like the Confederacy or NWLA to do that. Polslavia is a "Trade Hub" as you put it, so why can it's military technology top that of everyone else's? To me, it seems that Polslavia excels in everything: R&D, Military, Trade, even population and such. A small island like that should not have that good of a military. In fact, I would expect it to be a rather weak nation in terms of military, as it's forte is economy... Defensive tech is fine, but it should include good armor and such, not weapons of mass destruction.
Ok, fair enough. I see your point. I want to build a good balanced nation, but the Aznekova is a bit too OP. I'm going to redo Operation Thunderstorm. It will come soon.
I just finished drawing the Aznekova, but I rebalanced it so it's not so dang OP. I'm gonna implement it later.
So, I have made a refit of the Bravestovnav and a picture for the Aznekova. I'm thinking Polslavia can into space (jk lol)
First, I would like to ask why the defensive turrets were not active, and why a major weaponry city was not defended heavier than it is? I would think that a factory city in charge of creating Crian weapons would be defended with the best Crian tech. Also, you do realize that northern Crian Empire would be just the island? The flat shape of the Crian Empire, already far north, would only allow that one island and some bit of the mainland shore to be considered "Northern."
Also, the capital of the Crian Empire surrendered to the Azreans. The New World troops were occupied in the peninsula, leaving no real "army" to be with the Azreans as they advanced through the western passage between the Lordful Mountains and the Great Sea. Most of Eastern Crian Empire was already defeated by the Confederacy before the Western Forces broke through the land barrier.
In addition, how would the Bravestovnav, which I imagine to be a giant-ass thing, get through northern ice blockage? It wouldn't also be preposterous to assume that the Crians don't actually leave their waters unprotected and have recon fleets everywhere, some of which would almost definitely have encountered the Bravestovnav and it's fleet. They have radios, so I don't believe that the anything could get by sea or air to mainland in a surprise attack.
The mean depth of the Arctic Ocean, which is geographically around where north Crian Empire is, is about 4.5k feet deep. Compared to a measly 300-ft tall Aznekova, unless the armor was godly or something, the rough 4k feet of water above them would absolutely crush the robot. Unless the Bravestovnav can swim, also, I don't believe that it can cross the Great Sea without boat support.
I'm really at a loss for words right now. I think you absolutely must do some research on the internet before you come up with anymore superweapons. The only thing unreasonable I have made is the Artemis, but in my opinion the Crian Empire, which can make weapons that can hit a rough location from orbit, can definitely make the world's most powerful airship, and also probably armor that won't at least crumple to a few rounds of Polslavia's bullets- as I said before, those guns that every Polslavian military vehicle has technology that even the Crians don't have- their best armor somehow can withstand several kinetic shots from tungsten but not a few EMP shots? Then again, kinetic bombardment is completely fictional and I can't accurately compare the two, but I imagine that a kinetic shot that can destroy the PRA's capital in one hit would do more damage than an EMP.
I imagine Polslavia would never get half of the Crian Lands: it's role in the war was minimal until the last moments. I think of it like an Austria on the side of Russia in a Russian-American war. Russia=Azrean Empire, and US=Crian Empire. What I'm saying is that it would act as an economical support instead of a militaristic one. If you wanted a more powerful nation you should have based Polslavia off of Britain instead: it's military might be small but it has one of the world's most efficient means of power projection.
I must admit, though, that I've almost given up, it's way too hard to explain why something can't be possible when one of them is being made every other post.
Well, I guess Polslavia won't be in this Old-world war at all then. If that's how it must be.
Ayyy it looks like the azrean facks are quitting. I moight as well fu00l the fire!
The Azreans were nuked by aliens. the end.
._. Don't be that guy, Sir Giggles. We want this to keep going, not grind to a halt. A world of one in this makes no stories to tell.
Speaking of which, I plan on making an Island War with Polslavia fighting some of the smaller islands, to conquer them. Does this sound good?
please refer to the map when you do. Thanks.
By the looks of it, they could fight against Irem or get units over to Kulslavia, right below the ICF. Then they could head to the ICF colonies, and raid them from there.
By the way, what's up with Cronica? Who are they?
Cna you fuckin not pol? No one leks you, faggot. No one likes your faggot nation of pussies. Same fo you pompeii, lil nigga.
Hey man, calm down. Everyone's nation is pretty good, and no need to curse.
You forgot that they are all allied under the NWLA. Also, don't pay any mind to SirGiggles. Don't take his comment for real, he knows not of our reputation and hence cannot say that "no one likes us." Any educated person with any sense of respect would not say such things.
Cronica is a powerful isolated nation.
Polslavia could take over the islands to the east and west of Kulslavia.
I'm thinking of a Polslavian "Crusade" on the islands to the east and west of Kulslavia, the largest continent below the ICF. They would probably be quick, considering the technology of Polslavia, and since those fellows probably still use wooden ships. Sounds notice.
who says they use wooden ships? new world nations would have been former colonies of motherland nations, yes? They would have the same level of technology as you guys.
It doesn't seem you still understand, so this is going to be the last time I'm going to say this. No mercy this time, I'm sorry if I seem hostile but it's the only way I think you'll listen.
Your nation is not a superpower. It cannot attack and conquer anything it pleases nor develop anything it wants. It is limited by it's size, location, and population. In fact, it is one of the weaker nations. It's only forte should be economy, which is still second to the ICF. It's military should not be so big or advanced for such a small nation. It is not a UK: it has never been bigger than that island. You need to take it down a notch with the weapons. The Bravestovnav can beat the Artemis, and the Artemis was the world's most powerful war machine. 1v1 it would defeat the Annie Valor, the most powerful capital ship in the world.
If Polslavia can develop a Bravestovnav, which it probably cannot keep maintained for long periods of time or even basically get over seas 500 feet deep (most seas are several thousand feet deep) then I see no reason why the Crian Empire or the Third Empire to be able to produce several. They certainly have more land and power than Polslavia and Kulslavia combined.
I've read your posts prior to when I joined, and most of them plaster gold onto Polslavia's face like a spoiled child. If you wanted a powerful nation, fine! Didn't have to make one so unbelievable. Seems that they are invulnerable: whenever they are threatened its this superweapon after that. I understand that you want a powerful nation: look at me, I have the current largest, but you chose a horrible backstory and size for that role. No matter what an island the size of Poland will never be able to surpass a country like America or China. Even if it's the richest nation. Even if it's allied with every other country in the world.
I'e expressed my qualms several many times before, but you've hardly listened. So this will be the last time. If you continue to be unrealistic, I will also make the Empire into an overpowered nation.
Bagh. Fine. I just wanted to make. A technologically advanced nation, but nope. It sucks. It can't do anything properly, it can't even get any defenses properly. All my creations and drawings are worthless, and too irrelogical. It can't even conquer lesser nations, and they would be just the size of Polslavia and different. because it's too small and puny of a runt nation. I just want to have it take over some of the smaller lands, but nope. It's worthless. I give up. I truley give up. Guess that SirGiggles guy was right. You win, Azreans win. Yay.
Oh my (why is it that somehow I knew that if I expressed by opinions without restraint this would happen?)
You are over reacting. I simply stated that your backstory and current progress do not correlate. You seem to be seriously insulted when I comment on problems I find. I would like you to point out where I am unbelievable and I will accept that and do my best to fix it, even if it means rewriting my entire backstory. There is no reason to be insulted and if you are, I seriously apologize for pointing out flaws I find. I won't do it anymore.
Well, what can I do to fix Polslavia then? I can't just magically make it bigger without a purpose, that's why I wanted to have Polslavia (with the help of Kulslavia) take over the smaller islands to the sides of Kulslavia.
Say, could it be possible for Polslavia and Kulslavia to merge into a Greater Slav nation? Would fix a few of the problems.
Don't know. What I do know is that the size is not the problem here.
Well, if Polslavia wasn't so small, it might fix the technology imbalance.
I think I may have just lost track of my own thread...
Lol. What does "lost track" mean exactly?
It's not the size of Polslavia that matters. It is it's history. The UK is one of the smallest nations in the world, and yet it is one of the most powerful. Why? Because it used to own half of the entire world and is allied with all the other superpowers.
Well, what do I need to change EXACTLY? I hate if I sound rude. I want to make Polslavia, or maybe a merged Super-Slav nation, a wholesome nation, not one that's far fetched. I really want to fix it.
If I were you I would check up on the real-life equivalent of my what I want my nation to be- it will be realistic because it is real.
Kay. Many thanks in advance.
I would have to say Polslavia is like modern Israel, with the one difference in that Polslavia has superior technology to other nations, while Israel is having technology on par with other stronger nations. Other than that, it would have a much smaller population than any other nation, and would rely on importing resources. They should have much less tanks and weapons , however, which I plan on changing. It's major strong suit will be being a major trade post, and the technological superiority. It's weakness will be the low population and the lack of "home grown" resources. Should I change anything else?
I plan on balancing the Bravestovnav, too, to make it more plausible.
It means things are getting posted so constantly I truly don't even know whats going on anymore...
I plan on doing a "Merged Slav" nation, with Polslavia and Kulslavia as one nation. Just a few questions, 1 Is it plausible, and how, 2 What nation would you say it would be like, and 3, how do you think it should play out? Many Thanks in advance!
what is kulslavia's ranking power-wise?
2: Iron Plains Confederacy
3: Third Azrean Empire
6: Unnamed (I think Cronica would be around here but we have basically zero information about it)
I would have to say where Cronica is, if it wasn't there. If not, right below it.
So it is either #7 or #10. It is not number ten as it is definitely stronger than Polslavia, so it's #7. Then a merge would be believable as their power gap is small. If it was #4, then it would be unrealistic as powerful nations would not want to sacrifice their entire country just to merge with a much weaker one.
Now, how do you think it would play out?
I'm thinking that they will merge Into one nation to form a super-power, so they can iron out the flaws of each other. For example, Kulslavia lacks in economy and is relatively poor, but has the potential to be a New-World Super Power. Polslavia has the economy, but is too small and weak to utilize said economy effectively. If they were to be one nation, then they could become said Super power.
Also, what should it's flag be? :D
Is it for me to decide?
I want to gather other opinions, so I can make it the best I can.
So, here it is so far. Tell me if I need to edit anything, or change some parts. Now, here we go.
New Jekotia Part I:Why and Old Jekotia
In order to understand the full purpose of Jekotia, we should go back to the beginning. Old Jekotia was a empire that ruled over the entire southern half of the New World, with vast wealth and knowledge. It began around the same time the Crian Empire began, too, so this is quite a long time ago. They wanted to survive and thrive, and they did for nearly 200 years. That is, until the First World Conflict. This was a war between Old Jekotia and The Kingdom of Suno and the Crian Empire, and the war lasted 5 years until, finally, they were able to build up enough forces to march into the Capital of Jekotia and dismantle the empire. The entire southern half of the New World was split into many countries, some even ending up under several factions, like the Pol Clans that ruled over Polslavia until the Vul Monarchy. New Jekotia was formed to unite the nations of Kulslavia and Polslavia, and bring the once Crian-Controlled puppet states in the vicinity of Kulslavia, and to make a new Super-Power. Kulslavia lacks in economy, but is big enough to have the potential for a super power, while Polslavia is astronomical in economy, but is too small to use it effectively. New Jekotia was to be a combination of the two, so said Super-Power had all the ingredients to become powerful.
New Jekotia Part II: The Arrangements
The arrangements began shortly after the downfall of the Crian empire, only a day from it. Both rulers of Polslavia and Kulslavia knew that, in order for them to continue to thrive and survive, they would have to band together to form a new Super-Power, and unite most of the Southern New World under their banner. This was mainly because the Crian Empire's puppet nations were now not under their control, and that they would soon start fighting between each other or against other New World Nations. So, in a week, a new government based off the previous Slavian Governments was formed, but with Four Branches. The Civil Branch, for civil duties, the Military Branch, for armed forces, the Diplomatic Branch, for diplomatic duties, and the mysterious "Velzkavon Branch" very little information lies on them, but it is known they are responsible for history and knowledge, and possibly building of secret or advanced weapons. Like always, they revolve around one leader, which is called either an Emperor or Imperator. Unlike how emperors usually come around, Jekotian "Imperators" Are elected by the people. They are always going to be ethnic Jekotian Noblemen, be it a loved general or a people's leader, they are probably always going to be from the branches. Elections start after the previous one dies, obviously. So, after a week of building the system up, came the refinement of the Armed Forces. The previous one simply relied on one branch, but this was soon changed. It was divided into three Sub-branches, Air Branch, Naval Branch, and Land Branch. This allowed for the branches to work independently from the others, but still work together if needed. Soon, after two weeks, New Jekotia had risen. A new era for the New World, now with two major super power in it.
I fail to see the point of it being called the New World if they have a civilization that
A) Did not begin as a colony
B) Began at the same time as the oldest Motherland Nation
The Motherland is the place where one comes from, i.e. Humankind's Motherland is thought to be Africa. If the Old World is the Motherland, then the New World would be colonized in about 15k years, leaving the oldest New World country to be at a max of 3k years, the US being at around 3k. The Crians, I imagine, would be the equivalent of Britain at the time of the Seven Years War, the War being the Burning Seas battle. Severely weakened but still powerful. That would leave a plausible age for Jekotia to be, maybe, around 1.5 centuries. Enough time to develop like the U.S, but not enough time to be created alongside the Crian Empire.
I know this takes a bit of American History into it, but I think you should know that much. Other than that it's good history.
I finished, tell me if I need to fix anything!
Did teh forum die?
._. is just joke!
But yeh, I have finished the New-Jekotia thing. Wat now?
im not sure i can read all this and understand it xD
maybe someone should form a weekly or monthly summary of events since the last summary so people like me can understand easier and faster XD
ah, well, you only really need the recent plot. I think up to the end of the Confederacy-Alliance war should do it?
Yeah, that's about right.
Say, I plan on doing something about the southern-most continents (that aren't the ICF or NWLA). They will probably be ex-Crian Puppet states, but still with Crian-related leaders.
i still would like a summary though, as i am somewhat new to the forum, and i have absolutely no idea where to start, even based off of what you have said.
however, i would like to contribute, once i learn whats going on xD ive got some great (if not somewhat realistic) ideas for lore :P
Awesome! Another nation in the fray would be pretty cool.
just a question, when i do eventually come up with a fully written history/story for my addition to the war, can i just make up a new island, or is the map set as it is?
the map is as it is
oh, dang, i had this whole idea for a new island that sounded amazing (and was somewhat the centerpiece of the idea behind my coming empire xD)
ah, well, you could take over cronica. it's the island to the bottom right of the motherland, and it can be molded any way you like. name stays, though.
5: New Jekotia
has cronica previously had conflict, or has it been untouched?
untouched. By the way, the only land left is cronica and the area on the motherland that the Third Empire doesn't own (it has taken over the crian empire, the map is outdated)
ok, i guess my empire will inhabit cronica, but im a little busy right now, cant work on the story atm, but i will when i get time.
So, here's a basic run-down of what has happened.
The Crian Empire and PRA go to war starting with the Battle of the Burning Seas, which technically speaking, both nations lose. The Crians launch the Artemis, basically a massive super-ship that is coated with guns. Soon, the Confederacy is formed, a coalition n' stuffs, and the Crians go on an all-out war against, well, everyone. The battle of Chuztok brings Polslavia into the fray, and the Crians go on the main offensive against the Third Azrean Empire. This is followed by a large conflict in which the Annie Valor destroyed the Artemis, and since most the Crian fleet was either with the Artemis or dead after the Battle of the Burning Seas, the Azreans conquer all of the Crian Empire. After the Crian Empire falls, the Polslavians and Kulslavians see the ability to make a new super-power, with the Crian Empire gone. New Jekotia is formed out of Polslavia and Kulslavia.
actually, the confederacy declared war on the crians after it was formed. the Burning seas was a skirmish, not a war, and later the PRA and Polslavia land on motherland shores. Everything else happened, I think
i think once im settled on a backstory for my empire i will definetly be dealing with carriers, with it being newly implemented and all, sort of as an "experimental unit" of my empire that is eventually adapted by all nations, if thats ok with you guys.
generally speaking, i think thats what my nation will be about, stupidly experimental things used in their battles, and as a main strongpoint of its backstory
sounds interesting, but don't hold anything against anyone if they attack you...
the empire eventually will, as they kind of want to get better than the first azrean empire, which ruled over basically the entire motherland except that one tiny island on the bottom left
I could see StuChris's nation being a very flexible one with it's navy, considering the carriers. It would be awesome!
i felt it would fit with the new addition of aircraft :P
and it just kind of fit the theme i was going for anyway
to be honest though, im not that big a writer myself, so im having trouble thinking of how to form the story xD
Hmmm, try making it a newly formed nation that stemmed from a revolt against a Crian puppet nation? We don't have any lore for Cronica.
we don't have any lore for cronica but it was one of the first nations formed on this thread, therefor it is very old
well, as my "summary" (everything you need to know, no names involved) is that my empire has lived in Cronica for Millennia, and with the introduction of airships, the ruler (at the time), a mad scientist, started a suspendium research program, with many different tests involved, however most were never finished. the last two of these tests were catastrophic. the first of the two tests would create clones of an individual based off of a Super-heated treatment to suspendium, which went out of control and began cloning the whole populace (which i will now refer to as the "first generation"). the second of the two tests was a test that, to this day is unknown, except for its turnout: the entire wing of the facility housing the test exploded, a mushroom cloud could be seen all the way from the peoples republic. the shockwave of the explosion consumed the whole populace and spat out the present day island, the remaining carcass of the facility (including a certain miraculously in-tact cloning bay, still actively cloning clones among clones, and so-forth, creating the second and third generations. with what they remained, they rebuilt the unoccupied space of the facility into housing for the many fresh clones created daily. they have continued the leftover tests to this day, untouched by any opposing nation (most likely because of the former-emperors brother mad scientists surrounding the empire)
aaand thats all ive got. i still need names and opinions of what you guys think, but its going well :)
aaand, according to cronica being "old" as pompeii literally just said, i think my story covers that too :)
do you know how suspendium works? You can't clone with them...
thats why ive put it as an experimental field ;P
no, I don't think you get it...
suspendium repels other suspendium, there is no way to clone with them
does that still happen when suspendium is treated with high heats? if noone knows, its not that noone knows, its that my empire hasnt told anyone :P again, its an experimental field (which is the whole premise of my empire)
suspendium is zark's creation and you have no right to change what happens to it when heated... if it is unknown then you can't do anything with it
this is how suspendium works
well, id like to keep the whole clone and research facility idea, but i have to base it off of something (and according to how suspendium works, there is nothing said about superheated suspendium, so who knows what happens when it is heated up, right? noone knows what properties it attains when superheated, it may duplicate matter, or make it explode. (so the superheated suspendium idea might work somehow))
charged suspendium is basically heated suspendium.
plus, the plot is set in a pre-WWII setting and cloning has been developed after that, so it won't make sense (if you haven't noticed already I get really really frustrated at unrealistic stuff)
well, ok, i just figured it fit nicely with the theme and the whole "evil scientist" thing (especially considering he (or she i guess) has lazer weapons (or whatever that is) in a WWII setting as well)
ill take some time to rethink my empires entire history xD
no. this thread is around that time. I would assume that the game is in a fantasy steampunk setting.
...i thought this thread was based off of the game lol, ok
ill DEFINITELY have to rethink my empires entire history then xD
shrug If you want Suspendium to clone people in your particular version of the setting, I have no problem with that. :) I guess you could dress it up to be more steampunk and call it, like, a clockwork womb?
thanks, Zark! now that i think about it my empire may be experimenting with bees and clockwork wasps as well :P
Within the first few months of the Azrean move into ex-Crian territory, a total of seven rebellions arose, mostly on the northern side (they were the major industrial cities, the few cities to the south was agricultural communities) since everything related to the Crian Government or Military was bombed by the best bombs of their time. Two of these were major, the Northern Revolution where hordes of protesters from several cities bombed a Bronzespyre (a patrol squad arrived later and killed the protesters on the spot) and the Crian Remnant Army, where a cobbled together remnant of the Crian army attacked their former capital (it failed). All the seven were put down the same day they arose, however, effectively silencing all cries against the Empire and demonstrating their military prowess to the rest of the world.
"We have just taken a step towards the glory of the late First Empire," said the king of the Third Empire in an interview. "Soon that step will turn into a walk, and then a run, and eventually we will be there and so much farther ahead, and we will rule the world."
Well then. That's kinda harsh, ruling the world and all. Some nations just wanna live long and live happily.
New Jekotia's First War: The Burva War
The Burva War was a war against the southern-most (and non-documented) states. These used to be part of Old Jekotia, but were transfered to Crian Puppet states after Old Jekotia fell. The war's purpose was to annex said nations under the New Jekotian banner. The nations were Emporia, Ilevia and New Criana, with the first two on the largest island. After about a week of preparations, New Jekotian Forces invaded Emporia with little effort. Both Emporia and Ilevia were in their own war, leaving little Emporian units to fend off the armored onslaught. The New Jekotian 2nd Navy, comprising of two Bolshovy Kraza battleships, (Imma finish the picture soon, yee) Eight Pezk Steelclads armed to the teeth, and a big handful of airship tenders, was able to bombard their Port-Capital of Elen Hills into mush, long enough for New Jekotia land forces, with one of the Kovol class battleships, to initiate a surrender. Soon, the New Jekotia forces had already took over the nation of Emporia, with weeks to spare. Ilevia fell soon after, the nation still trying to attack more inward to Emporia, with New Jekotian armies taking over the capital with an overwhelming land force. Next came New Criana, which fell to a massive airborne raid comprised of two Polsla class Capital ships, the Chuztok, Eleven Odessa Class Destroyers, and nearly a hundred KP-01 and KP-02 Bomber airships, along with some land forces, including the Kovol itself and two Ezka-Class Heavy Land Cruisers. The entire capital fell with little effort.
A New Jekotian Report from the Captain of the Chuztok said: The victory was easy, with our forces crushing theirs. Only twelve KP-01 and KP-02 Airships were lost by ramming and gunfire. The glorious Chuztok took no damage. We now have conquered the puppets.
this happened in how long?
"southernmost (and non-documented) states" wait, is that ME?
I would say about 3 weeks, maybe?
3 weeks to conquer three nations?
stares with mouth open
They relied too heavily on thr Crian Empire, with very little machines and very few. Now, they were even worse, without thier big supporter and infighting, so it was practically no enemies besides a few tanks.
I mean southern-most located nations in the New World, kay stuChris? Terribly sorry for your trouble.
ah kk its alright
So yeh, New Jekotia has taken over a fair sum of the Southern New World.
it takes more than three weeks to conquer three countries... even if they have no soldiers xD
Well, would six weeks sound better?
do you know what a full takeover is? Defeating an army is just one part of it
You mean like pacification and all that?
Hmm, I think I'll just make it a month then. Plenty of time.
a month is 5 weeks..., i think you mean two months
Around that time?
I forgot... Yeah, two months.
the complete takeover for the Crian empire took two and a half years, including the war. I think, judging by the nation's sizes and if all of them were conquered together, it would take a minimum of half a year, especially if they were completely loyal to the Crian alliance beforehand.
Would the fact that they were infighting between each other shorten the time?
Why would it?
Are you positively insane, stuChris?
no, im negatively insane, join the asylum club! >:D
Well, they were already demoralized and at war with each other, with civil unrest from the people.
So? If they were at war with one another that just adds to the fact that they each have a sense of individuality and have a strong "I want to survive" instinct. If anything it would add to the pacification time and rebuilding, if Kulslavia supports an all-out war style of combat.
Hmm. Guess that works. Also, it's NEW JEKOTIA, not Kulslavia or Polslavia anymore.
ah, yes. my bad.
It's ok. Also, I can see your point on the longer war stuffs, so Imma remake it and, if possible introduce new weapons? :X
Why not? :>
So, I did a remake on the Burva Conflict. Here it is so far.
The Burva Conflict was New Jekotia's first war, and it's aim was to take over the southern-most (and not documented on the map currently at the time of this post) states in the New World, in order to spread New Jekotia's influence and to have more space for development. The enemies were Emporia (the largest one to the left of New Jekotia's major continent), Ilevia (the one small island to the right of New Jekotia, and in the Old World),and New Criana (the one right above New Jekotia's major continent.) They were already in-fighting and using very few modern weapons and vehicles, and mostly out dated weapons. They also saw the ability to perfect previous New Jekotian/Polslavian/Kulslavian weapons and to create new defensive and offensive machines. This, combined with the fact that they could staunch a New Crian Empire in the future, was a pretty good plan. Practically, several birds with one stone. The only problem was making sure no one else tried to interfere, or things would go all pear-shaped. Things would have to be divided, cut up, and people would want this, they would want that, etc, etc. It would just be bad as a whole. So, the first problem was assessing the potential adversary conquerors. They were to be the NWLA, The Third Azrean Empire (For Ilevia, that tiny continent in the Old World) and the ICF. The PRA was not a major threat to this conquest, simply because it was rebuilding after the Battle of the Burning Seas. The Third Azrean Empire was trying to organize the mess the Crian Empire left, rebuilding new ships and such. The only major threat was the NWLA and ICF. However, there would be a good chance that the Ex-crian puppet state of New Criana was spoiling to fight it's neighbors. So, after New Jekotian units assembled and were organized, battle plans assessed, and tactics practiced, they launched the attack. The first target was Ilevia, which would close the chance of the Third Azrean Empire of conquering it. The second would be New Criana. the third was the least worry. The first step was taking over the nations, the second was securing it.
The Battle of Ilva beach, eastern side of Ilevia.
The citizens of Ilva, an Ilevian Port city and their capital, woke to the sound of engines above the city and shapes on the water. In the sky was the Polsla, a gargantuan airship accompanied by the battleship Kuznetzov and Kalinka, and four Odessa class destroyers. On the sea, four large ships were approaching the shore and break-neck speed, with cargo doors on the front, along with the battleship Bolshovy Kraza and several smaller artillery monitors. The first shells fell from the guns of said ships onto the fortifications on Ilva beach. Several bunkers cracked open, a 203' battery turret prepared to open fire. The bays of the cargo ships opened up, two of them releasing nearly 10,000 Naval Infantry. This was followed by an army of about 200 Soldiv-IV's and a handful of Suspendium hover tanks and walkers. This was followed by two land battleships, the Kovol and the Kozek, both of the Kovol class. This was followed by an aerial drop of more than 100 more Soldiv-IV's, and a mysterious object coming from the water.A massive tower with a cage frame rose, followed by A large twin 305' mm gun and two quad 25' mm AA turrets on the sides. A menacing head came up, belching red-hot flames from it's mouth once it rose. The smokestacks shuddered and chuffed black smoke, and two massive arms came up. A large hammer with a propulsion apparatus on the back of the head of said hammer and a rotary cannon glowed a ruby red, preparing to crush it's foes. Two gigantic feet stomped the beach stones to dust, and stepped on a 105' mm gun turret. It stood nearly 75 feet tall, with monstrous feet and the main turrets above the giant body. A concrete bunker opened fire with machineguns, before the machine spewed fiery death from it's maw, incinerating the men inside before marching on. However, the Ilevian defenders were not to give up so easily. There airfleet arrived, along with about 50 walkers and a battleship. The battleship, the biggest land machine of the Ilevians, walked along the beach, bombarding New Jekotian units. The massive dread-machine did not stall, and immediately engaged it. They began to bombard each other, the Ilevian's shots ricocheting off the strong armor. A massive hammer, the rockets on the back of it boosting off, struck the Ilevian Battleship's forward turret, cracking it in half and sending everything inside aside or above. The Rotary cannon followed suit, shooting the hole the hammer created until the front section of the battleship exploded in a tremendous fire, sending it crashing upon the beach. In the air, the capital ship Polsla engaged an Ilevian battleship. The Ilevian was already knocking out droves of KP-01 and Wopek-I ships, and had no time to react to a dual Phozka beam hitting the fuel of the ship and lighting it ablaze. The Polsla had it's Phozka's directed toward the main battery array, a jumble of older cannons and newer ones, and set an ammunition store alight. It fell shortly after. In the city, Soldiv-IV's and Naval Infantry duked it out with Police and soldiers, walkers and tanks fought one another. However, Ilevia was to be doomed with the Dread-Machine walking through the city. The giant machine destroyed anything they could throw at it, it's hammer and cannons crushing either airship or land vehicle. It's maw belched and spewed red-hot liquid fire on everything that wasn't Jekotian. So, in less than a month, all of Ilevia fell to New Jekotia.
this is how long after the Crian Conquest?
About a week or so.
mm ya ka. only problem is, if the countries were just puppet nations then why is one called new criana? the prefix new for countries define a re-established one. the Crian empire never came back.
Meh, just something I made up. It prolly was a city at first named New Criana.
The Battle for New Criana, in the Kurv Mountains.
In the City of Kurv (originially called New Criania), in the heart of the Kurv Mountains, the capital of New Criana continued it's works. It was a major ore mining city, founded off the vastly rich gold deposits inside the mountains. The people were a happy bunch, and they could always afford weapons and such. A small defense force of around 100 Tanks and walkers, and more than 200 smaller airships the size of a Wopek-I, they swarmed the city like flies. However, this was soon to collapse from a massive invasion. An airfleet comprising of the Vladislav, 24 Iztevan-I Heavy Bombers, more than a hundred troop transports of varying sizes,a heap of Wopek-I and Wopek-IV gunships, and a massive Landship-carrier floated over the mountains, during a supposed earthquake. They landed 1 mile off the city suburbs. The New Crianian defense force launched an attack of all tanks on the Jekotian army, a feeble attempt against the massive airfleet. Wopek-I and IV gunships ripped through the thin armor of the tanks and walkers, while
Soldiv-IV's pelted troops. Soon, more New Jekotian units arrived, twelve of the new Stav-V Standard Heavy Walkers and 40 Stav-II Assault walkers. They began their march on the city once they received the status from a force arriving not from the other side of the mountains, but through it. Once at the city, they clashed against New Crianian units, smashing them to dust and slag. They did also call reinforcements, however. A group of 5 Battleships and more than 100 smaller fighters descended on the smaller New Jekotian gunship models, pelting them and killing droves upon droves of them before dying from New Jekotian ack-ack. However, an earthquake forced the New Crianian units to fall back, or what they thought was one. A massive avalanche of rock and ores fell from the top of the mountain, to reveal a titanical Centipede-like machine weaving down to the ground. It's center-located eye-piece shot a deathly Phozka ray at a New Crianian complex, crumbling it into dust. It stomped all over the city, turning anything to rubble. The massive claws on it snapped a tank in half, and proceeded to smack a walker into the ground. The New Jekotian main force penetrated the Crianian defenses, and took over the city in less than a day. The Air battle was won by the Vladislav, and the main armored force on land destroyed any resistance. Soon, they took over the rest of New Criania in a massive Crusade, which took nearly 3 months because of the terrain an rebels.
so new criana was originally a crian colony? then it would be a puppet nation...
Meh, it's just a name.
Some would say this thread is dead.
Those that might say that are unfortunately correct, and yet it's legacy lives on.
I've already begun to spread it's legend around, of the great tales of battle that it chronicled.
Never forget, friends.
