Midshipman
So I was testing my thought-to-be-invincible (or nearly) fortress against a horde of cheap ( < $200 ) 'expendable' airships, when lo and behold:
THE WHOLE FORTRESS COLLAPSES AND FALLS INTO THE EARTH!
It seems that putting Struts at the bottom of a very heavy stone building ISN'T a good idea...
Also the earth is really soft and compressible....
Perhaps there is both a lesson and idea here.
Commodore
No idea here, everyone knows struts should not be the entire base of a building. Especially because any decent building is pretty tall.
Indeed; Buildings need/should have a purely structural block-module much like the wooden keel.
Maybe more a 'Concrete Slab' or something.
Also; digging/tunnelling vehicles?
you know it is possible to have underground buildings and vehicles right
There's a landscape editor
I'm thinking some kind of bore-head or drills for 'under-mining' in combat.
Sounds like the work of... Hole Digger.
dun dun dun....
you mean a drill?
I think a worm monster would be cool
Captain
Small bunkers work well. Large tall heavy bunkers are vulnerable to collapsing in on themselves. Like they said, got to spread it out or you may accidentally turn your bunker into a mining shaft.
If you want a large flat building made of flaks located in a giant hole could shoot at everything xD
haha, it could! Sadly flak guns kinda suck :p so not a very legit strategy ATM
Haha yep flaks are shitty af. Too bad they only allow one ventral/dorsal cannon on a ship. Imagine a whole row of those
Able Airman
yeah that would be pretty epic also digging/tunneling vehicles sound really cool
