So, the THIRD part of the Burva War! Over the period of time for this conflict, I am going to introduce not one, not two, but THREE new super weapons! Also, I'm pretty sure I should Copy-Paste the previous conflicts here for reference.
The Burva Conflict was New Jekotia's first war, and it's aim was to take over the southern-most (and not documented on the map currently at the time of this post) states in the New World, in order to spread New Jekotia's influence and to have more space for development. The enemies were Emporia (the largest one to the left of New Jekotia's major continent), Ilevia (the one small island to the right of New Jekotia, and in the Old World),and New Criana (the one right above New Jekotia's major continent.) They were already in-fighting and using very few modern weapons and vehicles, and mostly out dated weapons. They also saw the ability to perfect previous New Jekotian/Polslavian/Kulslavian weapons and to create new defensive and offensive machines. This, combined with the fact that they could staunch a New Crian Empire in the future, was a pretty good plan. Practically, several birds with one stone. The only problem was making sure no one else tried to interfere, or things would go all pear-shaped. Things would have to be divided, cut up, and people would want this, they would want that, etc, etc. It would just be bad as a whole. So, the first problem was assessing the potential adversary conquerors. They were to be the NWLA, The Third Azrean Empire (For Ilevia, that tiny continent in the Old World) and the ICF. The PRA was not a major threat to this conquest, simply because it was rebuilding after the Battle of the Burning Seas. The Third Azrean Empire was trying to organize the mess the Crian Empire left, rebuilding new ships and such. The only major threat was the NWLA and ICF. However, there would be a good chance that the Ex-crian puppet state of New Criana was spoiling to fight it's neighbors. So, after New Jekotian units assembled and were organized, battle plans assessed, and tactics practiced, they launched the attack. The first target was Ilevia, which would close the chance of the Third Azrean Empire of conquering it. The second would be New Criana. the third was the least worry. The first step was taking over the nations, the second was securing it.
The Battle of Ilva beach, eastern side of Ilevia.
The citizens of Ilva, an Ilevian Port city and their capital, woke to the sound of engines above the city and shapes on the water. In the sky was the Polsla, a gargantuan airship accompanied by the battleship Kuznetzov and Kalinka, and four Odessa class destroyers. On the sea, four large ships were approaching the shore and break-neck speed, with cargo doors on the front, along with the battleship Bolshovy Kraza and several smaller artillery monitors. The first shells fell from the guns of said ships onto the fortifications on Ilva beach. Several bunkers cracked open, a 203' battery turret prepared to open fire. The bays of the cargo ships opened up, two of them releasing nearly 10,000 Naval Infantry. This was followed by an army of about 200 Soldiv-IV's and a handful of Suspendium hover tanks and walkers. This was followed by two land battleships, the Kovol and the Kozek, both of the Kovol class. This was followed by an aerial drop of more than 100 more Soldiv-IV's, and a mysterious object coming from the water.A massive tower with a cage frame rose, followed by A large twin 305' mm gun and two quad 25' mm AA turrets on the sides. A menacing head came up, belching red-hot flames from it's mouth once it rose. The smokestacks shuddered and chuffed black smoke, and two massive arms came up. A large hammer with a propulsion apparatus on the back of the head of said hammer and a rotary cannon glowed a ruby red, preparing to crush it's foes. Two gigantic feet stomped the beach stones to dust, and stepped on a 105' mm gun turret. It stood nearly 75 feet tall, with monstrous feet and the main turrets above the giant body. A concrete bunker opened fire with machineguns, before the machine spewed fiery death from it's maw, incinerating the men inside before marching on. However, the Ilevian defenders were not to give up so easily. There airfleet arrived, along with about 50 walkers and a battleship. The battleship, the biggest land machine of the Ilevians, walked along the beach, bombarding New Jekotian units. The massive dread-machine did not stall, and immediately engaged it. They began to bombard each other, the Ilevian's shots ricocheting off the strong armor. A massive hammer, the rockets on the back of it boosting off, struck the Ilevian Battleship's forward turret, cracking it in half and sending everything inside aside or above. The Rotary cannon followed suit, shooting the hole the hammer created until the front section of the battleship exploded in a tremendous fire, sending it crashing upon the beach. In the air, the capital ship Polsla engaged an Ilevian battleship. The Ilevian was already knocking out droves of KP-01 and Wopek-I ships, and had no time to react to a dual Phozka beam hitting the fuel of the ship and lighting it ablaze. The Polsla had it's Phozka's directed toward the main battery array, a jumble of older cannons and newer ones, and set an ammunition store alight. It fell shortly after. In the city, Soldiv-IV's and Naval Infantry duked it out with Police and soldiers, walkers and tanks fought one another. However, Ilevia was to be doomed with the Dread-Machine walking through the city. The giant machine destroyed anything they could throw at it, it's hammer and cannons crushing either airship or land vehicle. It's maw belched and spewed red-hot liquid fire on everything that wasn't Jekotian. So, in less than a month, all of Ilevia fell to New Jekotia.
The Battle for New Criana, in the Kurv Mountains.
In the City of Kurv (originially called New Criania), in the heart of the Kurv Mountains, the capital of New Criana continued it's works. It was a major ore mining city, founded off the vastly rich gold deposits inside the mountains. The people were a happy bunch, and they could always afford weapons and such. A small defense force of around 100 Tanks and walkers, and more than 200 smaller airships the size of a Wopek-I, they swarmed the city like flies. However, this was soon to collapse from a massive invasion. An airfleet comprising of the Vladislav, 24 Iztevan-I Heavy Bombers, more than a hundred troop transports of varying sizes,a heap of Wopek-I and Wopek-IV gunships, and a massive Landship-carrier floated over the mountains, during a supposed earthquake. They landed 1 mile off the city suburbs. The New Crianian defense force launched an attack of all tanks on the Jekotian army, a feeble attempt against the massive airfleet. Wopek-I and IV gunships ripped through the thin armor of the tanks and walkers, while Soldiv-IV's pelted troops. Soon, more New Jekotian units arrived, twelve of the new Stav-V Standard Heavy Walkers and 40 Stav-II Assault walkers. They began their march on the city once they received the status from a force arriving not from the other side of the mountains, but through it. Once at the city, they clashed against New Crianian units, smashing them to dust and slag. They did also call reinforcements, however. A group of 5 Battleships and more than 100 smaller fighters descended on the smaller New Jekotian gunship models, pelting them and killing droves upon droves of them before dying from New Jekotian ack-ack. However, an earthquake forced the New Crianian units to fall back, or what they thought was one. A massive avalanche of rock and ores fell from the top of the mountain, to reveal a titanical Centipede-like machine weaving down to the ground. It's center-located eye-piece shot a deathly Phozka ray at a New Crianian complex, crumbling it into dust. It stomped all over the city, turning anything to rubble. The massive claws on it snapped a tank in half, and proceeded to smack a walker into the ground. The New Jekotian main force penetrated the Crianian defenses, and took over the city in less than a day. The Air battle was won by the Vladislav, and the main armored force on land destroyed any resistance. Soon, they took over the rest of New Criania in a massive Crusade, which took nearly 3 months because of the terrain an rebels.
In the Cold winter of the nation of Emporia, in the night, the coastal port-city of Wezka, massive and alive with lights, and bristling with cargo and civilian ships, is a massive area for shipping and military stationing in the neutral nation. It has only a few defenses, but enough to halt almost any nation's army. That is, if they are active. A fleet of transports, bearing the New Jekotian Flag, slowly came to a halt outside the port, only 2 km away from shore. The massive ships, most converted cargo ships of massive size, opened bay doors to unveil smaller military ships, with at least 10 per ship. They were big enough to have at least two IL-1 Hover tanks each, pretty well sized, and most had one or two walkers or tanks of both hover and track designs. They also had a heap of troops, with about half of the transports allocated carrying nearly 150 troops each, all of them Naval Infantry or half the amount of Soldiv robots. Above in the sky, a fleet of airships, comprising of 12 Odessa class destroyers, a fleet of Eztak-I light fighters, and the mighty Chuztok, flew proudly and thundered. With them were two unidentified ships, both with four massive helicopter engines and a bulge in the middle, with bay doors on each side. The Chuztok and her fleet of Odessa class destroyers was joined with another fleet, comprising of the newly constructed Kol, a battleship, and a light airship tender hauling Wopek-I's and IV's. They began to approach the coastal guns and forts around the city's port. They opened fire, bringing down a battery of 105 mm guns and a few bunkers. The ships off shore crashed into the beach, and troops, walkers, tanks and Soldiv's marched towards the capital city, killing anything in their way. They were not to be intercepted until they reached the inner suburbs of the city. The New Jekotian airfleet began to attack the rival airships stationed in their hangars, destroying all opposition in the air besides the reserves that were to come in soon. The airfleet began to encircle the city, bombarding it as they went by with incendiaries. The mysterious airborne cargo ships soon landed at the main State House of the city, and revealed a small detachment of 12-foot tall robots, each wielding a fist weapon and either a cannon or a heavy machine gun, but both had a massive meat cleaver. They were adorned with many helmet types, some like ancient barbarians, some like noble hussars of old, and many more of New Jekotian culture. They shrugged off tank shells and bullets, and brought fire down onto their foes, slaughtering them. When a small walker came in, one of the robots bashed it with it's fist, releasing a red-hot discharge on contact, exploding the enemy walker. The dread robots fought on. They could destroy anything the Emporians threw at them. Several more walkers and nearly a hundred soldiers fell at the hands and weapons of the dread robots. Not a single dread robot was lost that day. The Emporian reserves came in soon, however, comprising of several heavy walkers and a capital ship. The Chuztok, turning to face it, was hit by a broadside salvo from the Emporian capital ship, destroying a propeller engine but otherwise doing little damage. The Chuztok, now turning to face it's opponent, fired both tesla cannons, lighting up the suspendium chamber's fuel, destroying it in a catastrophic split. In less than a week, the Emporian capital was in New Jekotia's hands, and the following month swept up insurgents and remainders of the Emporian Military. Finally the Burva conflict was done, after 5 months. Now New Jekotia started the second part of it's plan, to
secure it's newly acquired land.
Can I see a map. I want to add in a civilization with very advanced tech(laser weapons from a mod) and cheap prices for much else(another mod). What do you think?
anyways, poslavia already took over basically the rest of the world. All land is taken now, unless you want to take control of a nation in the Confederacy? The Third Azrean Empire reigns over that alliance, so I'm not sure if you'll like that...
I'm nickmarcus but my account is down so this is my backup. I may need to see a map. The story of my kingdom is as follows:
When the PRA rose, the royalty fled(wherever there is land now) and brought their technology with them. From giant robots, mechanical insects, giant spiders, laser cannons and more, they used old political connections to get most basic things at highly discounted prices. They used this tech to refit their dreadnoughts to the all-new Moonbeam class, with 5 anti-air plasma cannons and 5 more forward-facing lasguns. These, along with the old Impassable class dreadnoughts, with Suspendium cannons and small light boarding ships, created an air fleet to be reckoned with.
Can someone send a link to the map? I want to see if threre is anywhere a fleeing ex-PRA(Kingdom of Suno) royalty would go to. If not, they can always discover an island in the middle of the Great Sea.
There's always room at PsyPsyche Designs. We hold a suite for FatPiglet in the bunker hidden at the maps core, you know, for when the giant suspendium rock in the sky gives out.
Just need an island. My robots are Mad Scientist robots and my laser weapons are those of the Conquer The Future mod. My Faction explains all the Monster events with a few simple words. Scientists gone rogue after failed experiments(Mad Scientist) leave bugs enlarged(Giant spiders/bees &clockwork wasps) and minds wiped, leading them to believe that everyone is their enemy(Brigands and Pirates). As for dragons, I leave that to the Crians.
Sounds good. However, I'm kinda rustled at the entire "Explanation to the monsters" idea. That would be kinda world-altering for this. So, I say change it. Make it so they were the reason of Clockwork wasps and the occasional Mad Scientist, the latter being emissaries from your nation to plague other nations.
The second step of growing New Jekotia was the industrialization of the newly-conquered territories, along with New Jekotia itself. It was on par with, for example, the Third Azrean Empire in factories and production capabilities, but this needed to grow exponentially. To do this, new Factory Cities were built. Over the entire span of New Jekotia, gigantic factories were erected with life-support systems powerful enough for a small city. Eight of these were made: Chelzy, Binzkavon, and Gozka were built in the mainland, Orvak in the Right-hand (Name for the right-most continent by New Jekotia), Kevlazton and Mzavka in Midden Land (Name for the Inner-most newly conquered continent), Dwavk and Minszkavos in the Left-Hand (Name for the left-most continent of New Jekotia, which was of course recently conquered). In overall production, these cities were not to be the first step of this vast rebuild. The second piece was the building of massive Food-based Toriums, a nickname made by New Jekotia for massive production facilities. Nearly Twelve of these Food-Toriums were built, one for each Island. In less than half a year, the industrialization plans were complete. Now, they could outproduce, outsmart, and out-arm any rival, New World or Old World.
Notes: The pieces for the factories and toriums were being built during the Burva Conflict, hence the fast building speed.
The map is kind of old- Piglet needs to update. the link expired for the map the Crian alliance is now part of the Third Azrean Empire, New Jekotia took over every remaining island, Cronica has been taken and the remaining NPC land are a collection of hundreds of small countries/city-states under the Confederacy ruled by the Azrean Empire. I don't see a way how you could come into play without altering your lore so that your country is much weaker- no offence, circumstance is all. A new continent would be possible but would ruin basically any kind of backstory for the nations with more developed backgrounds.
Also, in order for the break-away from the PRA to work you'll have to confirm with Piglet. Not sure if still around though, didn't even leave a notice of retirement or something xD
btw, the Third Azrean Empire is and has been the leading country in Dreadnought tech by a large margin, and their Dreadnoughts don't have plasma cannons. So yeah, if you want a dreadnought-focused fleet like the Empire, you'll have to downgrade their tech according to the Empire.
When Piglet took over, the royalty of the Kingdom of Suno were left with no where else to go but to a small island that they were using as a backup shelter. They were clearly anti-PRA and they had the tech to do so. Their latest dreadnoughts, the Moonbeam class, had laser weaponary and their older Infatigable class had Suspendium Cannons. They developed the Clockwork Wasps and the Mad Scientists are actually some of our nation's best sent to harass the PRA and allied nations. Being taught in this way, the next generation was all for the PRA's destruction.
@Respawn
I'm not trying to dissuade people from joining this, but the fact remains that people can't just waltz in and make anything they like. They need to abide by the rules set for them by the world that previous people have created.
Nickmarc joined pretty late so choices are limited :/
yes, but different techs apply for different things. Polslavia was more focused on modernizing their military (giant robots, lasers, that stuff) and the Azrean Empire focused on their dreadnoughts. The Empire does not know how to reproduce the Poslavian lasers to fit dreadnoughts, and since the leading nation in terms of heavy-class weaponry cannot produce a weapon for their specialized class of ship, another nation which has a weaker R&D should not be able to do it either. Of course, if you want for your laser ships to be bought from new jekotia, that's not really my concern anymore.
Now, if it were a New Jekotian-backed nation, the chances are it would have been different. Maybe a revolting nation in the north, or a new continent entirely.
How would you like your nation to be, stuchris? I reckon you and I could work something out. Same for you, Nickmarc. I might be able to point out or make exceptions.
The nation of Korono is a civilization riddled with small pockets of pirates and brigands and is, thus a home for the lowest breed of common society. Seeing as the nation is so disorganized, it rarely ever participates in armed conflict and is a more... Subtle nation in it's warfare. Now dear reader, you may of course wonder: what possible damage could a nation so small and chaotic could do in open battle? In fact, why has it not been absorbed by the PRA? (It's western neighbor) Simply put, they possessed the one counter to the PRA's tactics: The Specter. No one is truly sure where this wondrous machine was found but the stories are as wild as the machine itself. Some say the machine was found deep in the bowels of some form of "mock castle" created by a bored Mad Scientist. Others that it was found in the middle of ritual circle during cultist worship. Whatever the origin, it did not change the outcome. Dear reader, the Specter was a cloaking device. And a damn good one at that. Using this, the Koronian's mustered their funds and crew (Mercenaries of course) and created a capital ship that could only be described as a "Super-Battleship"
INTERCEPTED REPORT FROM PRA OFFICER:
There is always three signs to any attack by the (CLASSIFIED)
ONE: First, you'll ALWAYS be able to see it's shadow. The (CLASSIFIED) isn't as advanced as the Koronians will let on.
TWO: Second, the (CLASSIFIED) ALWAYS will include the low drone of it's ten suspendium engines. Listen closely.
THREE: If you hear ANY form of cannon fire in Korono territory, ALWAYS look for rounds flying at the rear of your fleet. It's the regular target for the (CLASSIFIED).
TRANSMISSION ENDED
Put me in your stories if you'd like.
And what about you Nickmarc? What's your nation's relation to korono?
Well, probably a huge unmarked airship with external suspendium reactors and some naval guns. I never really described it so people could imagine it themselves, but I guess if you want to see what I see it like, there you go.
So, do you fellows want to get his back up and running? I'll see if I can make a map. Since it's been so darn long, I bet we could change a lot of stuff. Some conflicts here, numbers there, etc. We could refine it, so it's easier to join in.
EDIT: By change things, I mean everything besides huge conflicts, like the fall of the Crian Empire.
I'd join you sure, if not for unfortunately how it seems the forum has been basically overrun entirely by bots and devoid of any real activity for months. Also, the concept of a large-scale roleplay was rebooted in the Official Airships Discord a couple of months back, and then split off into it's own server off due to the constraint of having merely a single channel to do your thing in. I don't actively participate due to how massively complex it's gotten, but it should suit your tastes just fine.
There ya go. The new server is in the pins of #General if I recall.

Now New Jekotia started the second part of it's plan, to secure it's newly acquired land.
Commodore
Ok, finished with the Burva conflict! Expect pictures soon.

Did the thread die or sumfin

Can I see a map. I want to add in a civilization with very advanced tech(laser weapons from a mod) and cheap prices for much else(another mod). What do you think?
Commodore
very advanced tech- no not really. cheap prices- sure!
Commodore
anyways, poslavia already took over basically the rest of the world. All land is taken now, unless you want to take control of a nation in the Confederacy? The Third Azrean Empire reigns over that alliance, so I'm not sure if you'll like that...
Midshipman
I'm nickmarcus but my account is down so this is my backup. I may need to see a map. The story of my kingdom is as follows: When the PRA rose, the royalty fled(wherever there is land now) and brought their technology with them.
Midshipman
Impassible class=/=pre-refit Moonbeam class.
Midshipman
Can someone send a link to the map? I want to see if threre is anywhere a fleeing ex-PRA(Kingdom of Suno) royalty would go to. If not, they can always discover an island in the middle of the Great Sea.
Commodore
There's always room at PsyPsyche Designs. We hold a suite for FatPiglet in the bunker hidden at the maps core, you know, for when the giant suspendium rock in the sky gives out.
PsyPsyche Designs. We'll keep a light on for you.
Midshipman
What I need is a map.
Midshipman
I bring with me a fleet of large and techy airships.
Commodore
All in favour of adding a new continent?
Commodore
Also, not to be rude or anything, but New Jekotia already has laser weapons (Known to them as Phozkas) and giant robots, (I also haz art of both!)
Midshipman
Just need an island. My robots are Mad Scientist robots and my laser weapons are those of the Conquer The Future mod. My Faction explains all the Monster events with a few simple words. Scientists gone rogue after failed experiments(Mad Scientist) leave bugs enlarged(Giant spiders/bees &clockwork wasps) and minds wiped, leading them to believe that everyone is their enemy(Brigands and Pirates). As for dragons, I leave that to the Crians.
Commodore
No matter the map, it will always be flat.
Midshipman
Good enough
Commodore
Sounds good. However, I'm kinda rustled at the entire "Explanation to the monsters" idea. That would be kinda world-altering for this. So, I say change it. Make it so they were the reason of Clockwork wasps and the occasional Mad Scientist, the latter being emissaries from your nation to plague other nations.
Commodore
So, continuing on after the Burva Conflict.

Can I see a map?
Commodore
I don't have one, sadly. Maybe Pompeii Does?
Midshipman
Hopefully. I can't seem to see it on the original thread.
Commodore
So, uhh.... maybe you can change your nation's lore or sumfin?
Midshipman
It's never really explained what happens to the Kingdom of Suno royalty, so my nation tries to explain that.
Commodore
Noice. Try making a background post, some sort of birth of a new nation history stuffs.
Commodore
@Nickmarc
Midshipman
When Piglet took over, the royalty of the Kingdom of Suno were left with no where else to go but to a small island that they were using as a backup shelter. They were clearly anti-PRA and they had the tech to do so. Their latest dreadnoughts, the Moonbeam class, had laser weaponary and their older Infatigable class had Suspendium Cannons. They developed the Clockwork Wasps and the Mad Scientists are actually some of our nation's best sent to harass the PRA and allied nations. Being taught in this way, the next generation was all for the PRA's destruction.
Commodore
cough cough did you not see my post above?
Air Admiral
...
This is why we don't get many new users, Pompeii.
Midshipman
What about New Jekoita?
Midshipman
Still gonna need space tho
Midshipman
Suspendium cannons on the ships?
Commodore
i'm talking about the lasers
@Respawn I'm not trying to dissuade people from joining this, but the fact remains that people can't just waltz in and make anything they like. They need to abide by the rules set for them by the world that previous people have created.
Nickmarc joined pretty late so choices are limited :/
Midshipman
New Jekoita has lasers too, and if they have some Kingdom of Suno ships, it could have been a teade.
Commodore
yes, but different techs apply for different things.
Midshipman
Technically, New Jekotia traded with the Kingdom of Suno for some ships, so maybe they traded Bravestonav tech for battleships.
Commodore
um... i think you shouldn't just jump to conclusions like that. new jekotia did not exist when the PRA was created.
Midshipman
The KIngdom of Suno traded with Polslovia.
Commodore
wait is that story? seems a bit short for it... and I should get something up too
Midshipman
In the creations subforum, the Polslavian air navy has some ex-Kingdon of Suno ships, so a trade could have taken place in secret.
Commodore
ah, thanks for clearing that up
Commodore
Now, if it were a New Jekotian-backed nation, the chances are it would have been different. Maybe a revolting nation in the north, or a new continent entirely.
Commodore
Say, we could work out something for a new weapon type. Maybe plasma guns or something.
Air Admiral
To be frank, anything is allowed as long as you can convincingly explain it. This is Dieselpunk, not alternate history.
Commodore
True dat.
Commodore
So, ehhh.... is this thread still alive?
Commodore
well, i would post something, but i couldnt think of what to do with my country that wouldnt be controversial...
Midshipman
This thread still lives!
Commodore
How would you like your nation to be, stuchris? I reckon you and I could work something out. Same for you, Nickmarc. I might be able to point out or make exceptions.
Commodore
uhh.. pompeii, u wanna start us off or something?
Commodore
oh, i never saw that message, whoops. i explained it back in the old thread i think, but ive completely forgotten what i was thinking
Commodore
Ah, k. :P Try something completely new, like a new nation to build or such.
Commodore
You don't have to make something completely new, though, do note. Maybe take some old stuff and some new stuff.
Midshipman
Anyone still here?
Air Admiral
I am...
To restate what has already been said:
Commodore
I like the specter. What would it look like, if one would like to draw it? .>.
Air Admiral
Well, probably a huge unmarked airship with external suspendium reactors and some naval guns. I never really described it so people could imagine it themselves, but I guess if you want to see what I see it like, there you go.
Commodore
kewl, might draw this
Commodore
So, do you fellows want to get his back up and running? I'll see if I can make a map. Since it's been so darn long, I bet we could change a lot of stuff. Some conflicts here, numbers there, etc. We could refine it, so it's easier to join in.
EDIT: By change things, I mean everything besides huge conflicts, like the fall of the Crian Empire.
Commodore
I would say it is certainly time to get things back in gear!
Air Admiral
I'd join you sure, if not for unfortunately how it seems the forum has been basically overrun entirely by bots and devoid of any real activity for months. Also, the concept of a large-scale roleplay was rebooted in the Official Airships Discord a couple of months back, and then split off into it's own server off due to the constraint of having merely a single channel to do your thing in. I don't actively participate due to how massively complex it's gotten, but it should suit your tastes just fine.
There ya go. The new server is in the pins of #General if I recall.
Captain
I am pretty proud that this story thread is still going and the PRA is still in it. Awesome to see!
