This suggestion would would give people the ability to make their ships less blocky, which some people have complained of on Steam. Personally I think it would make things look better.
Wedges would be purely aesthetic. They would have no weight, hitbox, or HP of their own. They would only be attachable adjacent to "real" modules. Crewmen would not be able enter them. When the module a wedge is attached to catches fire, the wedge would catch fire too, and when the module adjacent to the wedge is destroyed, the wedge would be destroyed too.
There could be a 1x1 wedge, and a 1x2 wedge, and reversed variants. When a wedge is selected on the building screen, the "f" key could be used to rotate it.
They could also be painted with different wood types and iron like regular modules.
Here's some examples I made. I didn't bother changing the shading of the wedges, but it shows the general idea.
Two, I think wedges are great, they definitely make the airships much better and it just looks more realistic. I really like the examples you made especcially the house. It looks almost makeshift like it actually belongs in the town, but it was refitted or something
Also, the reason I made the wedges have no weight or HP or anything is because I didn't want people to have to choose between aesthetics or functionality.
Off topic, I'm a bit confused about the Steelcore fleet topic. Is it just a topic for people to throw ships they made into?

What do you think?

Ships I've made!
A refit house is exactly what I was going for.
