Do all weapons really require endless line being unoccupied?
Weapons are shooting over obstacles, self-ship, other-ships and just anything fine.
Is it necessary to make, for example, grenades require that nothing is ahead of them until infinity?
I believe there could be so many interesting designs without that limitation!
Is it a balancing issue? Because you can just stack 10 cannons one on another anyway, that just looks stupid.
I understand that one of the reasons (maybe the main?) of weapon placement restrictions is related to them being destructable at the edge of a construction? But it is possible too to make the weapons specifically destructable at any place of construction, leaving the hole and internal edges.

Is it possible to have weapons block placement only for a limited number of tiles?
Ie, Being able to place more than one Dorsal Turret along the top of a ship, as long as they are 2 tiles away from each other.

I would go further with this Idea:
We can place modules left and right of a Dorsal Turret, but this will decrease the fire arc.
