It would be cool to be able to set parameters before the map generation. Like (no) weather, (no) floating islands, option to make the land flat. May be the land height? I get it that full randon means more fun, but when I test my designs, I waste a lot of time generating combat enviroments again and again to get what I want for an exact test.
2) AI battles
Since AI has a lot of benefits to most human players (he-heh), it is logically to make a full AI battle. I mean the player is only wathing how ships are being destroyed. It is a fast way to check if your design is worthy enough your piloting or you can just throw it to trash can. This way you can safely make time flow faster and just see what ship is obviously better
3) fast design test
If one can set AI to fight on each other with fast time, why make GPU suffer? You can just make the battle to be calculated in the background several times and show what design is better. It is sort of cheating, wich will have an affect on multiplayer, so if you don't like it, it's ok. But it is actually is the best way to learn to build best designs fast (you just change smth small and make the machine calculate how it affected the result).
And Zark, it is not meant to be added in 6.3, don't worry)) I just want to know if u like the idea)))

2) You can pretty much do that by switching on AI control, though I should make the button available during setup.
3) This actually is in 6.3, but only as a hastily put-together command line tool. :D But it's something I can probably put into the GUI at some point.
