Air Lord, Engineering Corps
I got this idea from the game BossConstructor (a 2d game where you build things, but it's top down). Basically in the game's menu there is a poll on the right of the screen that asks players general questions set by the developer on a weekly basis, some of these range from "what community features do you wan't implemented, as a side project" to "how difficult is the game from 1 (way too easy) to five (way too hard)".
This allows anyone who plays the game to give input easier (and allows players to not join the forum just to post thought down once, then never use it again).
I feel Airships Conquer the Skies could benefit from a similar idea that is implemented directly into the game, since this allows more of the game's community to share opinions about the game with greater ease!
Sounds pretty cool, though wouldn't that encourage new players not to make an account? They would miss out on all the other stuff.
Maybe, but how many active forum users do we have anyways? I believe the number is under 20(?), out of the about 2000+ copies sold (which means players who have decided not to make an account). I think the poll system could be used to allow all of the active players and forum members have the ability to have an opinion in the game they own, it may not allow them to create or discuss an idea (that's what the forum is for) but it does let everybody have a say on where the game should go and what can make it the best experience!
