Continuing on the theme of having more detail i thought it would be cool to include this idea sometime in the (far) future:
I'd be nice to see an algorithm in ship combat that calculates the $value of each functional ship one on side and subtracts that from the other side, then with this information it gradually/quickly changes the mood(?) of the music depending on the value and how much difference is(- for the left side + for the right side faction). Extra music might be a bit out of the way, though.
So in a single campaign battle the music may behave like this:
