When playing the campaign, the user is allowed to apply a refit whilst a refit is currently happening to a different machine.
If this is done, the machine originally chosen for refit will irreversibly disappear, with no warning or safeguard against losing the creation.
This doesn't strike me as intended behavior, since there is a great potential for unfair loss to the player because of a miscommunication or oversight of the interface.
I have observed this to happen without fail. Simply apply a refit to another machine while one is in progress.
Proposal
I would recommend either barring the user from refitting during another refit, implementing a queue, or simply allowing for multiple refits at once.
Miscellaneous
If I had to guess, it would seem that the game is only meant to handle one "ghost" building (transparent graphic of refitted building) at a time, and attempting to refit another simply changes the ghost's data to that of the new building. Because the ghost replaces the refitted building, the first one is lost because there are no measures to make sure it gets put back.

Aerial Emperor
Yikes. So click "refit" while you're already in refit mode. Yes, that would nuke the original construction...
