Alright, so there's a game called Dwarf Fortress. A very fleshed out game in everything except simplicity and graphics. Now, that game was basically a kingdom simulator where you had a very complex system of classes, materials and so forth to make buildings and tools and everything. Check it out if you love complicated as fuck things.
They also have an adventure mode, where it's just your character in the great big world (It actually makes a very deeply fleshed out world on a random generator) and you do whatever the hell you like in the world! You can get quests, become a pirate, everything.
Which gave me the idea for this thread.
There should be an adventure mode where it's only you and your ship!
It'd be just your ship. I imagine since ship designing is the jam for this game, you can make your own and you can travel between cities, build ships with bonuses to only that city and so forth.
Basically conquest mode but only with a single ship and you're not trying yo take it all over
