It appears unlogical to me that you can travel all across the continent without using any fuel you use in battle in a few minutes.
I believe it could be interesting to have the fuel depleting while traveling on strategic map with the same speed as it is in battle multiplyed on some coefficient (or even not, which will make some very minor change fuel-wise).
And you should replenish all the resources (fuel, ammo, crew) in any allied settlement.
That could prevent attacking-shooting-running-attacking-shooting-etc scum (you just take the resources from the thin air and can retreat at any time from any point) too, as you will be out of ammo.
