Don't worry, I won't send you to gulag, as long as you hear me out on my ideas for this (wonderful) game. So, here is a fairly large sum of my ideas for this game.
1.Trenches, infantry, and other small things for waging war on the ground!
So, the basis behind this is simple: You can set up defenses for your soldiers and such so that they can duke it out with other infantry, along with pillboxes and howitzers that need no other modules besides the howitzer or pillbox itself, meaning large scale defenses can be waged with mass soldiers and wars. My thoughts are that while you can build trenches with the edit landscape tool, you can also build pillboxes in a special unit build tab, if it were to be added. Pillboxes should need no modules (besides the unit, obviously). Infantry units and smaller armored units should also be added into the units tab, BUT be capable of assault and defense operations. These should be a separate icon on the map showing what they are, just like how airships and landships are shown on the map. While infantry carry rifles, anti-tank weapons or small caliber RPG's, tanks should be immune to low-caliber bullets such as Gatling Guns or Rifles, have guns that matter on the variant, and be somewhat slow. Armored Cars should be immune to only rifle-related weapons, be fast, but only mount a gatling or so. Along with this, Zarkonnen should add Anti-tank guns and howitzers, allowing for defenses to be more effective in terms of effectiveness. Here is a list of the units that should be added:
Light Tank-Fast and low-caliber gun proof armored vehicle, mounting a small cannon.
Medium Tank-Moderate speed low-caliber proof armored vehicle, mounting a nice middle-class gun that can lob a HE shell a distance.
Heavy Tank-Slow low-caliber and small anti-tank gun proof armored vehicle, mounting a large howitzer that can pack a mean punch into enemy units.
Armored Car-Fast, cheap, and rifle proof armored vehicle, mounting a Gatling Gun.
Soldier-Standard Rifleman.
MG Soldier-Machine-gun equipped and more expensive version of the soldier.
Anti-tank rifle soldier-Heavy rifle equipped soldier using a low-caliber anti-tank rifle, similar to the PTRD-1941.
Self propelled gun-A long-range vehicle that mounts a big n' burly heavy howitzer, lobbing a big HE shell a far distance.
Howitzer crew-a non-moving and lightly armored howitzer, but packs a mean punch against units.
Light anti-tank gun crew-a non-moving rapid fire but low damage anti-tank gun crew with little protection.
Anti-tank gun crew-a non-moving anti-tank gun with average rate of fire and damage and little protection.
Heavy Anti-tank gun crew-A non-moving anti-tank gun with slow rate of fire but very good damage against tanks, but little protection.
Pillbox-Machine gun equipped armored box of infantry doom.
Flame Pillbox-Light flamethrower equipped armored box of short-range doom.
Light Cannon Pillbox-Light cannon equipped armored box of anti-light armor doom.
Anti-aircraft cannon-Rapid fire anti-air cannon for shooting down planes and peppering airships.
Fighter plane-Anti-air plane with little armor but immense speed and moderate firepower.
Bomber Plane-Anti-ground plane with little armor, moderate speed but hard-hitting bombs.
Torpedo plane-Anti-naval plane with little armor, moderate speed but hard-hitting anti-ship torpedoes. (when away from naval forces, uses suspendium torps.)
2.Unit hangar modules
This collides with the units idea and adds modules for either storing or garrisoning units. This adds..
Aircraft hangars-for storing planes and launching them when in use on airships or landships.
Armored Unit Hangars-for storing planes and launching them when in use on airships or landships.
Soldier Bays-for garrisoning soldiers and such and launching them when in use on landships.
1: Trenches should be added yes... Along with Infantry...
2: Yes, fighters will be added in the dev9 update...
3: Ships... Are going to happen in a future expansion... So not in the base game...
4: Too taxing on the PC....
Additional idea for suggestion 1: Underground bases. You can build your base to go underground, thus only leaving the guns on the surface while all the vulnerable stuffs like munitions safe. Structure placed underground have HUGE health bonus and makes them hard to destroy by aerial bombardment alone. This would give an incentive to build ground units and infantry to take capture bunkers.

Add modules for naval forces and floating cities.
4.Shell arc for large-caliber guns
Pretty straight-forward.

Yes, but the idea would be kinda hard to balance...
