-wen placing airships its not always clear what the front and back is, an simple indicator to quickly show what direction its facing
-a hold fire button and maybe wen testing default hold fire so the player needs to command a bit more to engage in combat
-a map maker like a arcade side scroller where the player can make different areas so the player needs to battle and pass trough the different area in one sitting with its design to conquer a map.
That last one sounds utterly amazing. You could make trials/obstacle courses with a variety of enemies or terrain that the player would have to overcome with their fleet.
-a 1x1 block module that can detach by blow up as in demolishions and it will cut the ship along the line where the blocks are placed so it can ditch a part of the ship to regain lift (or maybe even to ditch a out of hand fire)
-a way to play other players maps and battle their ships they put up to the test almost like a mario maker so the player can endlessly challange themselfs. (because i couldnt realy find anything yet where i can dowload other peoples stuff yet or maybe its because i have gog version without galaxy)
There's plenty of player-created ships, but they're all on Steam workshop. I need to create a useful alternative for non-Steam players.
You actually can ram down! Just position your ship above another, select "ram", target a location directly down and basically inside the ground, and away you go! This works great especially with the HMS Belial design, because it has a keel at the bottom that you can use to ram with.
Airship placement indicator: good point. If you make a perfectly rectangular ship, there is actually no way to tell. :P
There is a hold fire button, it's the fourth button from the right in the command buttons panel.
Have you played around with the mission editor? That's part of what you need for that, and I intend to enhance it so you can have mission sequences. :)
I've started a new subforum for player creations like mods and ships. I'll be encouraging modders to also post their creations there, so they can be accessed by non-Steam users. :)
