Fatpiglet and I were chatting and had a few ideas that might fit into the multiplayer environment;
Structure: A non-player-controlled structure sits in the middle of the map; it fires on both players. The structure can be captured by simply sending units into it. Last player standing wins; the structure doesn't count as a surviving craft for either team. (on the idea that if you send sailors into a craft with no cockpit; it is auto-captured)
Flagship: A ship on each team is designated the "Flagship". If you lose control of or the flagship is destroyed; you lose control of your entire fleet until the match is over.
Required Filter: Allowing the required filter - or disabled filter - to apply to the conditions of a multiplayer match.
Reserve Battle: Give the player money over time to allow reserve troops to enter the battle. The idea could have troops determined before battle or chosen during battle (as matches evolve).
I'd love to hear others ideas on various types of interesting match types; multiplayer or otherwise!
in mission creation there could be added extra deploy boxes to stretch the erea but also allow more player creations like i had suggested a sort of arcade mode so a player needs to go trough different erea and try to win or even just survive.
If the deploy boxes can also be costmized with details than i think making a mode like this yourself could be possible.. ?
I'm curious about Mission numbers; not sure how to employ them or if they're complete yet. Topic on on the Workshop Forums; could mean multiple-part levels.
Yes, multi-part missions are planned for a 9.x update. I wanted to make sure single-part missions worked properly and were actually being created by players before putting in multi-part ones. :)
