Hello!
What do you think about changing actual toolbars to something like this?
It's only a draft idea, for maximum use of the blank space. In my version there's more space for parts and less scrolling. For longer names we can use abbreviation like "LS Dust Tank" for "Large Suspendium Dust Tank". Also the price can be in the description or under cursor, changing to actual selected part. Also the cost, speed, ceiling and others indicators can be replaced by icons.
Maybe anything defined in a description. But since it's defined, maybe not - like Accuracy Bonus. Fundamentals, like HP affecting Statistics, would come in handy for intermediate players not willing to open the odf. cough #json
I was actually a tiny bit confused when I was building one time. I think you should clear up the targeting comp/telescope description a little. It doesn't specifically state that only one of them actually works per ship.
I really like the button style of part display, that's very space efficient.
The double bar along the top looks a little cluttered, though. Maybe cramming the ship stats in between the Ship Name and Overlay buttons and then moving the ship name back onto the design would be better.
Edit: Actually looking at it in a larger size, it's not actually cluttered at all. Overall I think this is a superior design layout that doesn't have any noticeable drawbacks after it gets put in (if it gets put in).
As for showing stats, crew movement multiplier and structural bonus would be nice.

You don't have to scroll for parts. You can type them in.

Or... ooorrr... we can get some stuff fixed.
Like adding in Chance to Catch Fire, Structural Integrity affliction, and other stats in demand.
I think the second top bar is pretty clever. The boxes for modules is clever but I prefer Details over Tiles (Windows reference).

I quite like this. I'll have to see how well it works with different scales and resolutions, but I may adapt at least part of it.
And yeah, you can search for modules pretty efficiently. :)

Oh, also, stats: I can add flammability and structural integrity bonuses. Any other stats that would be useful?
