So I've been messing around with planes and one thing I find annoying is that the landing pads for the Triplane/Biplane has restriction upwards. I think that it should be changed to having a restriction to whichever direction the plane is facing, and have the hitbox for the pad expanded so it fits the entire plane. This way it will more closely resemble a driveway for a plane taking off.
Long answer: The plane catapult in the game as of now works fine and would ruin balancing if you could spam planes where ever you wanted on a ship. Hussars already have the ablility to spam, but are slow enough for a couple planes to shoot them down before they get in effective weapons range.
Hussars appear to be VTOL whereas planes are launched from their catapult and eventually need to land again. Besides, when was the last time you saw an aircraft carrier with an internal flight deck?

Air Admiral
Yes that makes sense but then how would you have aircraft carriers with decks filled with planes?
Commodore
maybe there could be an exception for other landing pads? That's how driveways work in real life.
Commander, Engineering Corps
please no
Commodore
Hmm? Why do you say that?

Short answer: balancing

Also for a hint of realism.

It's basically just a hole in the center of a ship
