Seeing a midsize landship that looked like a good starting point for a design of my own, I took some screenshots to recreate it later. After finishing that conquest game I went to design and found that the landship is above max carry weight and cannot be used by the player. imgur album with screenshots
I still have a save file where the offending vehicle exist, but I couldn't find where the files are kept, and this forum does not appear to support attachments.
Did you get the armor type used by the AI?
well, im fairly sure all craft are made by the developer, Zark, so the craft is unlikely unfair, but there may be some smart design aspects involved
I know there's at least one stock airship floating around without enough supply hatches to be built that you sometimes start with on Conquest, too.
If you still have autosaves of that particular game, try to use a ship with lots of boarders, capture the ship, hit 'refit' and then 'save design' to save it for yourself. I think you may be looking at heavy steel armor, not stone.
I was mildly annoyed that you clearly didn't look at the evidence, but I see now the rows of lines aren't quite the same on the back edge and from that I was able to determine that it is in fact heavy steel.
I could have sworn that all the steel armors had offset rows of plates while all the stone had grids. I also would have testified under oath that I checked swapping though all the stronger grey armors, but apparently I skipped over heavy steel despite double-triple-quadruple checking everything before making the post.
So instead of being an impossibly low cost siege platform its a near-immobile trio of cannons for way too much maintenance. But its not cheating, so that's good.
BTW, is there a way to change the thread title since this is now resolved?
just ask Zark, he can change it (or you could delete the thread, i think)
you can't delete threads. only zark is able to
oh ok, i guess i havent made a thread yet, so i wouldnt know xD
