What I'd give to know exactly what's in store for expansion 1 and 2. It seems to me like people pay attention long enough to hear what their most interested in and don't press any further. I.E "Oh, expansion 1 has water" and "Expansion 2 has Crew experience". While I don't deny I'm also excited for these features, I can't help but think we should maybe get a more detailed post on what EXACTLY is going to implemented in EXP 1 and 2.
oh, a small little idea i had just now, it would be neat if we could place buildings on suspendium islands, that would be a neat little feature that i think would fit nicely
You can create Suspenium Islands by constructing them in the Level Editor and removing the bottom block (connected to the ground). Then the land will hold stuff on it without a modification.
Minor exploit.
Catalyst also added the graphics to the Blueprint Editor, for advanced campaign usage.
Various mechanics of floating islands could be fleshed out, but then the demand for destructible environments becomes stronger.
I'm not so sure Weaponry would be a driving factor for any expansion. The game was designed in such a way that the user is encouraged to educate and modify. The goals will be much larger, like advanced water mechanics and likely huge environment changes in general; like underwater creatures.
Well, I'd pay for water. Considering it's 100% non-existent and really theory. The potential for water EPIC! That's a unique snowball to DWARF the fireball already in construction. (Sink or Swim, cmon')
Things like weapon modules & more monsters, probably not.

Commodore
i would think that expansion 1 would probably add more deck guns, and depth charges, torpedos, and things of that nature, but thats probably obvious
Air Admiral
Hmm, possibly... Speaking of new weapons, any word on suspendium batteries or aerial mines?

Isn't there a mod for that?
Commodore
yeah, but it would be nice in the vanilla (or i guess dlc installed) game :P
Air Admiral
As close as were ever going to get, I think.

Modules related to water.
Commodore
still, a simple vanilla way would be cool

Right there with you, StuChris.

We're needy people, it seems.
Commodore
me too
in fact, since you said "dwarf" i would pay for dwarf creatures (especially if there would be a dwarf module of some kind)
i mean just think, cute little red-bearded guys roaming around your ship, i think it'd be adorable
