most imporant thing first : Coal clouds that disappear after a set amount of time.
These clouds accumulate over long battles, slowly killing low end CPU.
Adaptative background ideas :
-buildings placed by the player will add some buildings in the background
for now, when we place a defensive sttucture, there is nothing else but the structure itself. I'd love to see a city grow in size in the background as I defend it better.
-birds and other animales could be affected by ships going nearby, birds would for exemple run away.
also a bit off topic : anything of a tree that got hit in the middle of the trunk should fall over and no longer be a block, just be an animation and despawn.

Yeah, the fact that birds fly around completely unconcerned by the MASSIVE AERIAL BATTLES is a little weird...
Maybe they are used to it? xD
they could be mind controlled birds perhaps...
