Hello, I've been working on compiling multiple mods into one, convenient pack so that the multiplayer mod issues would be eliminated.
These issues can be:
1. Unfairness (This mod means everyone has access to the same stuff so the host cant have some god weapon)
2. Simplicity (Takes me a minute to select most of the mods I want to play with online, this would be a 1 click thing)
3. Load times (When loading the game it has to verify multiple subscriptions, this is just 1)
My only issue so far is that when I launch the game it cannot generate the graphics so is stuck constantly loading. I can include a .zip file if anyone wants to take a look at what I've gotten so far (I'm missing en.properties as of now)
If anyone knows how to put multiple mods into one, without putting the images into one sprite sheet that would be a big help!
So I managed to get it to generate graphics fine on my machine. Might be a memory limitation, or you may just have to wait for a Really Long Time(TM). On an older machine, the graphics gen for the base content took about 20 minutes to run.
I also noticed that you are missing the strings for all but one of the source mods.
Oh, and BTW, you can't ever have a multiplayer fight where one player has some superweapon mod loaded in and the other player doesn't. Mods and versions must exactly match for MP combat to happen. Even to the degree where you both have to use the same purely cosmetic mods, because it can't currently distinguish between a purely cosmetic alteration and a game-mechanical one.
Finally, if you haven't yet, I'd suggest you get in touch with the people whose mods you're bundling just to make sure they're OK with that.
First off is it really working for you? (then again i didnt get rid of the steam mods...)
This is a proof of concept, i just took a bunch of mods and tried to make them all work together, although i do think these are going to be the ones. I do solemnly swear that when I put this up that I will have everyone's permission and a link to their work. I do not intend to be thief and just have their mods.
The reason I am making this modpack was for that exact reason, people have to have the same mods and its just frustrating to have modded fights.
