I've been playing this game for nearly a month now and I still have yet to master it! However, I have been building ships, and I'd like to share some of my more recent creations. They aren't the best, nor are they cost effective, but I'm proud of them nonetheless. These ships will be split up into different tiers, depending on their size and technology.
1. The Early Tier
The first ships to take to the air in Kaiserstadt were later the first so called "Seventh rates", ships that typically featured a cannon and an optional rifle armament. Although revolutionary in design they were soon deemed useless and used as police barges and to screen much larger ships.
Many 7th rate ships found themselves converted into hastily made pillboxes at the beginning of the Kaiserstadt-Nimbus war. Although ineffective against high flying targets they were feared by ground troops and low flying bomber craft.
In the early stages of the war Kaiserstadt was lacking a bomber fleet, instead relying on ground vehicles and infantry to take enemy held fortresses. Casualties were high and by the end of the first year over fifty 7th rate ships were converted into bombers, dropping large grenades down on enemy positions.

Captain, Engineering Corps
Make a heavy (fighter?) gunship and bomber. Also a capital ship. And replace the grenades on the second ship for some bomb bays...
Well, before a capital ship definitely a frigate.
