Sounds very presumptuous doesn't it? Well the way i see it the leader of my faction says he is the only one fit to lead the world so he is a very pompous man, anyway onto the ships!
The images of the ships are a bit small so right click 'em and open them in a new tab to properly look at them.
anyway
TRS Peon Class
The smallest ship in the royal fleet, peons are cheap and barely carry enough ammo for their 4 small cannons to destroy a default early game tower. however they are frequently used as cannon fodder or support ships ( or even just to crash into enemy ships or buildings and cause explosions)
TRS Paladin Class
The next ship in the royal fleet, Paladins are primarily a marine dropship and as such can quickly close gaps to board a target structure or ship, if timed properly the marines can be split into two groups so as to use the boarding action twice, which unless the first target is absolutely massive or well defended half of the marines will capture nearly anything. However Royal engineers decided that having a ship that just drops off marines and then does nothing else the whole battle is a waste of resources, so they retrofitted early paladins to carry an assortment of bombs, combined with the light frame of the Paladin, the result was a high altitude dropship that after dropping it's marine payload would retreat high into the sky and bomb the enemy into submission. Due to it's versatility the Paladin class became a mainstay of the royal fleet.
TRS Armageddon Class
Frequently royal fleet commanders can't be bothered to capture their enemies alive and so one admiral commissioned a refit of a paladin class dropship to have it's marines removed and space made for additional bombs, the result was an extreme altitude siege bomber, the only defense against an Armageddon class bomber is a dedicated flak tower.( because flak guns have infinite range and are the best weapon that points straight up)
TRS Hammerhead Class
The Hammerhead was created when it was determined that defending a city with bombers isn't exactly effective as the time it takes for a bomber to destroy an enemy is long enough for them to do too much damage to the city, not to mention stray bombs tend to do more harm that good to the city the bomber is supposed to be defending. Thus the Hammerhead of was born, a strong frontline skirmisher two variants exist, ( only variant A is on steam)
Variant A is armored only with wood, trading heavy armor for speed, maneuverability, and service height, meanwhile Variant B replaces the wood with steel armor ( or heavy if i have it) and loses most of it's speed but instead becomes a nearly unstoppable force of destruction that most enemies will never get past. ( because it distracts them long enough that bombers rip them to shreds)
TRS Archer Class
Created when non bomber ships like the Hammerhead and Peon were becoming popular combinations for fleet commanders, Commissioned by Admiral Jonathan Archer, the Archer class boasts a huge broadside of small cannons accompanied by two heavy cannons, when placed in a fleet with a Hammerhead or a group of Peons the Archer will happily decimate the enemy from far behind.
TRS Cloudlike Class Siege bomber
The Cloudlike is considered to be the ultimate in siege tactics used by the royal fleet, boasting a service ceiling of nearly 300 meters it is capable of flying high above any defense or enemy fleet, it also carries enough ordnance to level several cities at once. The Cloudlike will often simply just sit above a target and slowly bomb them to extinction. Due to it's height interception is usually a moot point.
TRS Alchemist Class
The Alchemist is an experimental flame ship developed by royal scientists and engineers near the end of the first war. (flamethrowers were the last thing i found in my first campaign) It is tiny, and is designed to simply fly straight at whatever the largest wooden ship is it can find, and if all else fails commanders of an Alchemist will often resort to landing on enemy ships and burning them to death from atop them.
TRS Your Lord and Savior
The end all be all of the royal fleet, commanded by the royal king himself, The Lord and Savior, often referred to as simply " the royal ship" or "TTRS", the royal ship is the massive capital ship of the fleet, due to it's exorbitant cost ( 17,746!) only one of these has ever existed. However whenever it shows its face in a battle the enemy has but one choice, surrender or be horribly blown away. Boasting a frontal broadside of 8 heavy cannons no fortification or heavy ship can stand against it's pounding, an assortment of 7 Gatling guns also shred anything with lighter than steel armor. And with enough ammunition to keep firing for days straight TTRS doesn't stop until everything is dead. However there is on critical flaw with TTRS ( isn't there always?) it has no weapons facing up, and with it's low ceiling it isn't hard for a ship to outmaneuver it, this is why it is never alone, it is always accompanied by multiple hammerheads, Archer's and several paladins, as well as innumerable peons. And in fact the Peon class is instrumental to the functions of TTRS. The other problem facing the ship is it's sheer size, due to it's size the ground and floating rocks will often prevent it from moving, thus it uses a primary wave of peons to quite literally ram all of the floating rocks off the battlefield so that TTRS can enter the battle. ( and btw TTRS is so big that IF it is destroyed it breaks the game! yay. ) and If the battlefield is full of foliage such as trees, other peons are used to remove them by any means necessary. ( i wish we could target the environment with ships then i wouldn't have to suicide all my peons into trees)
I'd love any feedback on my designs, i realize don't make the most beautiful ships but i tried to not just make boxes of doom. Also if there is any interest I've also designed several structures for this same faction.
And just if anyone is wondering, these are the first ships I've ever designed and some of them were designed in the editor rather than the campaign specifically Your Lord and Savior which has several versions to compensate for not having a grand prow / Gatling guns.
and just for the sake of it, the order i designed them in was this
1.Your Lord and savior
2.Paladin
3.Hammerhead
4.Peon ( this is also when i started my first campaign and realized i didn't have any cheap ships)
5.Archer
6.Cloudlike
7.Armageddon
8.Alchemist
Also as most ships have a naval prefix TRS stands for The Royal Ship, refering to the fact that this ship is in service to the "one true royal family". ( like i said at the top the leader of this faction is really full of himself) ( i feel like i should mention that as a writer i enjoy making up stories and worlds filled with characters the "leader" is not me, he is a character ( also not a very good guy))

Warrant Officer
I'm not at my main PC at the moment, and i won't be for awhile, when i get back i'll put them up for download.
