Here is a list of some of the ship's used by the United Federation of Arma (WARNING: this contains a lot of lore, so there will be some reading :D)
The ships I have chosen to show have been important to the way I make ships, and ironically, the interconnected story that goes behind each class.
Avenger Class Frigate: A design based on a captured enemy patrol ship. At the time of the vessel's launch, it was the pinnacle of Federation engineering. Combining speed, firepower, and durability. To this day it is one of the most widely used ships in the fleet.
Independence Class Battleship: The first capital ship built by the Federation. A vessel that struck fear into any enemy it faced, the Independence Class was born out of desperation in a time when defeat seemed inevitable. During the Tepid Falls Incursion, Federation vessels were being swept aside by an enemy armed with flamethrowers and rockets. During this crisis, 4 cities were lost and many more fleets were destroyed. A bigger ship had been called, and the Independence Class answered. Although obsolete and retired nowadays, in it's time it was a force to reckon with. (Notice the outdated livery)
Inception Class Battleship: Along with the Independence, another battleship was launched to combat the Tepid Falls Incursion. The Inception Class was a more versatile ship, with a higher service ceiling and better handling. It has come to outlast the Independence by quite some margin, though it's being faded out due to the modern battlecruisers.
Discovery Class Battlecruiser: The first true battlecruiser launched by the Federation, it's revolutionary design was cause for a new era of ship building. It was also the first ship to sport the new "counter-shading" hull livery, one that would be refited on all other ships.
Enterprise Class Battlecruiser: Another battlecruiser design to bolster the lines of fleets of aging ships, the new class has become a valuable asset. The leading ship of its class, the UFS Enterprise, became the pride of the navy. She lead the 7th fleet across the isles, annexing new cities. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. UFS Enterprise was destroyed during the Battle of Hatwick when Enterprise rammed and disabled 3 Fjordon cruisers to save the rest of her fleet. All hands were lost. Today the Enterprise class is used primarily as a support cruiser, holding the line with bigger ships.
"...may history never forget the name: Enterprise..."
Sovereign Class Heavy Cruiser: Due to the loss of the UFS Enterprise earlier that year, Arma's Corps of Engineers laid out plans to build a bigger battlecruiser. And so, the Sovereign Class was created. After successful trial runs, the 3rd ship of her class was chosen to be christened UFS Enterprise-B. Her new mission is to carry out the original's heroic legacy. Due to the more advanced design, the Sovereign Class is slowly replacing the old Inception Class Battleships. Though, the post-war Federation had no need for such ship, so Enterprise-B was placed in charge of the Foreign Safety Corps.
Defiant Class Escort: A frigate sized warship design created during the Four Day War to counter the State of Korono. The Korono liberally used Heavy Cannons to pound anything the saw into submission. So Federation Engineers created the Defiant prototype with a classified Ablative Hull armor. The armor is capable of withstanding 2 heavy cannon shots in the same place. This, along with it's armament and affordability, allowed Federation Fleets to achieve victory within 4 days. In peacetime the Defiant Class is used as border patrol due to its respectable service ceiling, speed, and durability.
Intrepid Class Battleship: the largest vessel in Arma's fleet, and the pinnacle of Federation engineering. The ship was designed during the Tepid Falls Incursion. Though, wasn't built until after the war because Federation Admirals deemed the vessel "too cumbersome for her own good". After some simple redesigns, the Intrepid Class was built. The prototype didn't catch the eye of admirals until the battle of Hatwick. The UFS Intrepid was able to cover the retreating ships, while Enterprise made her last run into the enemy fleet. Today, the UFS Intrepid serves as the Federation's flagship.
The Intrepid, with her sisters alike, ensure a steady future in the United Federation of Arma
Its been thirty years since the launch of the Enterprise-B. The Federation of tomorrow is based on peace and exploration. The Nothern Isles of the continent is war free, and the new Enterprise-E has taken it's first flight. A first flight in the new age of Suspendium based technology. Note that this ships is designed for exploration, though is capable of defending itself.

I'd be happy to see what you guys think about my designs! (Except for the last one, which some of you may recognize
I like them. They have a certain standardised general shape type.
I have a fleet with a certain defined shape, too, but the shape of stuff there is too generic, mostly looking like regular water ships. I also have some backstory stuff for ships. Your fleet is neat, and it inspired me to make a new fleet from scratch. So, yeah, while I might post my old fleet, your fleet inspired me to go work on a new one. I guess that's some feedback: It was enough to inspire me to do stuff.
I like the ships, their shapes and the colour scheme. Simple, yet good looking.
Thanks Lukasmah! Glad you enjoyed my designs :D
The color scheme was kinda based on tiger sharks
How did you set stuff up for proper screenshot making?
You managed to get just the right zoom so that one pixel in the image matches one pixel in the pixel art, thus letting the ships look like the should.
Also, exterior view without the yellow outline? Did you just start the battle and took the screenshot before actual combat took place or something?
I went into combat mode, pressed 2 on the key board (hides ui) and took a screenshot. After that I uploaded the pictures to Imgur and pasted the links.
There is also a button that lets you hide the interior of your ships. It is called "Hide Ship Interior"
"I went into combat mode, pressed 2 on the key board (hides ui)" Odd. For me, the sizes are not quite right in combat mode. I don't get the nice "1 pixel in the pixel art = actual 1 pixel displayed" proportion on default zoom.
Hmm, really? Even with Zoom to Fit?
Zoom to fit appears to be dependent on the size of the fleet/ship, so it doesn't give the exact right zoom to avoid the textures getting messed up.
Interesting, try asking Zarkonnen. He has the answers ;)
I still kicked your ass though~
In the next version you will be able to press the secret key "8" to get 1:1 zoom.
Thanks Zark :)
Also. If I'm not mistaken, Lance, I defeated the Turtle using 3 Defiants. The only time you beat me was when you rammed your ships into mine XD.
Though, not to mention I was sweating bullets when I saw the size of the Turtle...
THEY DO NOT NEED TO KNOW THAT.
