Lieutenant, Engineering Corps
So I was playing with the idea of having a sort of "heart" of the army; a support ship that uses boarders to protect other ships from close range ships such as rams
While the functionality didn't work as well as I hoped, I made it look quite nice, and it's a decently armed ship
It costs 1k almost exactly, has 310 service ceiling with it's current armor (if armed with steel armor it still has a very good ceiling of 170) and while it only has 4 arachnids, it is maneuverable and fast.
It's main weakness is the lack of a repair bay and any firepower, although a repair bay can be moved in, if you're willing to sacrifice the bridge in favour of a cockpit somewhere, although in my opinion since this ship is meant to support others, it shouldn't be taking that much fire and need one.
You can switch out the cargo holds for supply hatches, but I think having the holds allows the troops to deploy faster (and it fortifies the barracks considerably more), and switching them out only saves like, 30 dollars.
Before anyone asks, yes, the exhaust of the large suspendium engine is meant to be an artery.
