This is an expansion of my earlier thread found here. I recommend reading this if you want some background and lore related gubbins
Top of the morning everyone, and welcome aboard! With 7.2 released a few weeks ago, and 8.0 on the horizon, I've decided to refit and expand the Federation fleet. In the next couple of days (or weeks, who the hell knows!) I'll post the new ships I've created, and the leaps the UFA has made in technology.
Ambassador Class Battlecruiser: When a conflict broke out once again, Arma's fleet was in disarray. Admirals soon realized that the Sovereign Class Battleships were too slow to intercept and combat smaller ships. The Federation Corps of Engineers soon found a fix: the Ambassador Class Battlecruiser, a fast yet hard hitting vessel that helped Arma achieve peace once again in a matter of weeks. The Ambassador Class is the most technologically advanced ship in the Federation Fleet. She is also the first vessel in the navy to have a battle-bridge. This is secondary, heavily armored, command station that is used in case the primary bridge is compromised.
Enterprise Class Support Cruiser: The revered Enterprise Battlecruisers were given a new title (Support Cruiser), as well as some major refits. These new refits included the addition of a battle bridge, secondary propulsion, and strut support.
Another battlecruiser design to bolster the lines of fleets of aging ships, it has become a valuable asset. The leading ship of its class, the UFS Enterprise, became the pride of the navy. She lead the 7th fleet across the isles, annexing new cities. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. UFS Enterprise was destroyed during the Battle of Hatwick when Enterprise rammed and disabled 3 Fjordon cruisers to save the rest of her fleet. All hands were lost. Today the Enterprise class is used primarily as a support cruiser, holding the line with bigger ships."...may history never forget the name: Enterprise..."
Enterprise Class AWR (Advanced Wooden Refit): A variant of the original class that sports a wooden hull to increase speed and service ceiling. Simple enough.
Sovereign Class Battleship: The Sovereign Class was given some refits and a new designation ( of Battleship) after the Second Battle of Catwick during the 3rd Haeston War. This included minor strut support, a complete redesign of the interior to accommodate the battlebridge, and the addition of a third lift chamber.
Due to the loss of the UFS Enterprise earlier that year, Arma's Corps of Engineers laid out plans to build a bigger battlecruiser. And so, the Sovereign Class was created. After successful trial runs, the 3rd ship of her class was chosen to be christened UFS Enterprise-B. Her new mission is to carry out the original's heroic legacy. Due to the more advanced design, the Sovereign Class is slowly replacing the old Inception Class Battleships.
Defiant Class Escort: Out of the entire fleet, the Defiant Class is the most versatile. very little was done to update the design as there was no need to. Though, none the less, Federation Engineers relocated the bridge the protect it more in battle, as well as installed more guard barracks.
A frigate sized warship design created during the Four Day War to counter the State of Korono. The Korono liberally used Heavy Cannons to pound anything the saw into submission. So Federation Engineers created the Defiant prototype with a classified Ablative Hull armor. The armor is capable of withstanding 2 heavy cannon shots in the same place. This, along with it's armament and affordability, allowed Federation Fleets to achieve victory within 4 days. In peacetime the Defiant Class is used as border patrol due to its respectable service ceiling, speed, and durability.
Intrepid Class Battleship: As the flagship line of the navy, the Intrepid Class was given major interior refits to accommodate more guards and the battlebridge. Work was also done to increase the size of sick-bay as the large crew compliment needed more than two.
The largest vessel in Arma's fleet, and the pinnacle of Federation engineering. The ship was designed during the Tepid Falls Incursion. Though, wasn't built until after the war because Federation Admirals deemed the vessel "too cumbersome for her own good". After some simple redesigns, the Intrepid Class was built. The prototype didn't catch the eye of admirals until the battle of Hatwick. The UFS Intrepid was able to cover the retreating ships, while Enterprise made her last run into the enemy fleet. Today, the UFS Intrepid serves as the Federation's flagship.
That's all for now, I'll be posting another thread soon on "Yesterday's Fleet" which will show the ships I designed when I first bought the game.
I'd love some feedback, hopefully I can do more of these in the future. Hats off to Zarkonnen, updates are coming out at a steady pace :D
Thanks, mrCarlton! The Enterprise Class is a good example of my ship designs. It took a bit of modifications to get it right. She's a fine ship indeed, and although she can't win a fight against the new Ambassador, it still is one of my favorite vessels to command. Thanks again for the feedback! :)
Some of the iner workings on the ships I'd like to keep secret because I simply don't want people taking my designs. Not that I don't trust people, I just feel that it's unfair for someone to take 10 minutes replicating a ship they found on the internet. Especially one that took hours for the creator to refine.
Though I'll be putting together a thread of some of my older vessels, with insides present :).
Upload to Steam Workshop! These are amazing. Definitely publish them. (As soon as I saw this, I wanted to suggest steam workshop, but looked for threads about it. I found it)

Commander, Engineering Corps
Liking that camo scheme it looks great. Also the Enterprise has a great overall balance to it.

Very nice camo paint on the armour. :) Can we see insides or are they secret?

Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you like them! Feel free to add me on Steam if you want to discuss ship design. :D

Also, I am struggling to find the file dialog, or where to publish a blueprint. I have several that I need to publish. Would appreciate support.

In addition, can you share how to post an image? I have an image. It is in my files and on Imgur, but any link I put on fails to show the picture.

Thanks bro. :D

The post formatting doesn't explain a whole lot... it has a link. I put the link the site gave me. No pic.
