So I decided to try my hand at making an airship for the $200 category and came up with the HMS Batfish. There really isn't much you can say about ships in this category since they're so cheap and sacrifice a lot to get under the price limit.
It's fairly fast, has the usual rifles you see in this category of airships, has a high service ceiling as it's only real protection, and has a low command cooldown so it can get into position quickly and keep the guns trained while darting about. Oh yeah, it also looks like some kind of strange fish - hence the name.
It seemed to hold up well in testing so grab it from the workshop hereand give it a spin in PvP and let me know how it goes.
(That crew image duplication bug still clearly needs fixed)
I perused the suggestions forum but hadn't seen the topic on this crew image duplication bug. What is it specifically? I noticed that some of the crew appear to have three eyes, almost like a second crew mate is standing behind the first but beyond that, I hadn't noticed anything.
For whatever reason, the game renders the crew in two different orientations simultaneously when it takes the design image. Zarkonnen probably forgot to collapse some wave functions or something when he added the interior image (which I suggested, so I guess I share some blame).
I posted on it back near when it first came out.
Anyway, nice design by the way. Sorry for getting off topic.
No worries. Interesting to hear about and thank you for the kind words!
Use rockets, they are cheap and are extremely efficient in
They're a diceroll, basically. Technically, the could be even more powerful than Torpedoes but are limited by their inconsistency in actually hitting the target. Torpedoes are much more reliable.
Yep, with torpedoes you can reliably miss your target unless it is already mostly destroyed orrrrr literally attached to the ground.
